I remember seeing a video, presumably Xcelerator's media day, with Sandor Kernacs mumbling something from the station platform. It very well might have been from TPR. Anyone know what video i'm talking about?

Yeah, I know the video you're talking about. He's sitting in the Xcelerator train talking with some ride-ops and other random peeps. Then, the ride-op staples the hell out of him (and his balls). He groans, and the coaster launches.

Also, it has rollback testing and them testing the motor at 114 mph (I guess to see if it could work-the train flies through the course). I had it before our hard drive died-you might try googling it or Youtube.

I'm pretty sure the ACN webmaster took the video. I checked on ACN but I can't find it. I believe I have it on my old comp. If you can't find it M_Force_4_ever I will upload it. Let me know.

You're going to have to be way more specific than just "the dude." Do you mean the man getting stapled? That's Sandor Kernacs, the president of Intamin, which is the company that built Xcelerator.

This is where I got that from:

Sandor Kernacs, president of U.S. based Intamin Ltd. and IntaRide, LLC (each referred to as “Intamin” in this story), both headquartered in Maryland. “They are usually the most popular rides at the parks.”

Short Shot testing. Not roll back. Short shot.

Edit: I found it, and I'm uploading it to YouTube. Expect a link here in a few.

Edit2: Enjoy!

You might want to edit your video description. The ride was radar-clocked at 117 mph when the video was filmed.

I've heard a lot of different speeds. I'll just say 100-plus mph.

You were probably wearing a theme park shirt when you rode, that will pretty much guarantee you a stapling.

actually I wasn't... Rich probably was though... but it came down to Dan and Elissa being mean =(

You tube is blocked in Dubai, any chance of posting it somewhere else??

Like blocked by your place of work or blocked by the government?

That's some serious government censorship. I didn't even know they could do that without being hounded by free speech activists. I know China does (did?) the same thing, but they've been called on many times to end the practice.
