Dr.Zaius
I know that Cedar Fair has said that there will be no changes in the 2006 season, but I've heard reports of PKI getting new trashcans, more efficient ride ops, new signs, ect. My home park is Canada's Wonderland, and I've noticed the Paramount has been dropped by all the ride ops when they announce the name of the park, and new uniforms that say "Grounds Crew". Has anyone else noticed any changes in ex-Paramount Parks? There have also been reports of a price increase, which doesn't seem likely as it is very unlikely any of these parks are getting a new attraction due to Project 2007 at Cedar Fair. Personally, I would love to see a nice B&M Hyper put in Wonderland. What changes would you like to see in the other parks now owned by Cedar Fair? Rollerholden
PGA needs a B&M hyper...or an Intamin.

alpengeist04
I would like to see Cedar Fair remove Hurler and the go-cart track at Kings Dominion, and put the trees back around the Grizzly. What am I saying, it's Cedar Fair, that will never happen. I think removing Anaconda and replacing it with an Intamin Mega would be a good idea, too. Price increases aren't going to be related to what each park is getting. If they think they can get more, then they will raise prices. I wouldn't be surprised to see $60 season passes at Canadas Wonderland go away. I'm sure they could raise the prices and still get the same number of passes. Although it's not fair, I know I'll be handing over however much they ask for in May. For PCW regulars, 2007 will be weird, we're all used to a new multi-million dollar investment each year. This goes back 8 years in a row!
Reon
Changes since the take over: SoB got pwnd Changes that should occur: Replace SoB with a new Intamin/BM, or atleast rebuild Kobra.
mightypotato
I'm really hoping that PCW will finally get a decent new coaster. It doesn't have to be big or fast or anything...just good. I think a Maurer Sohne spinning coaster would be a great fit to the park. But, that's just my opinion. I'm not a Cedar Fair board member. Yet. nitral
I hope PCW will built a new roller coaster next year or in the years to come. I go every week so it would be very nice.
TheGreatOne
Just a note: Cedar Fair taking over your park does not constitute a hyper coaster being built. See: Knott's (Xcelerator isn't a hpyer in the traditional sense), Michigan's Adventure and Geauga Lake.
Screamomatic
I haven't gone to Canada's Wonderland once this year, sorta to send a message that the place sucks. I've even told all my friends how bad the place is and to save all there money for our SFGAdv trip at the end of august... I wanted to work there, but they haven't returned my calls and emails, so either they don't want me, or they know I'm bad-mouthing the place. Maybe next year I'll go just see what CF might do... I might even apply to be a ride host. Seriously, that place needs major work. Why, oh why does my home have to Paramount 'Crap' Wonderland???? On a positive note, atleast we have a Mountain and not a stupid tower thing... and grass under most rides.

Well, TECHNICALLY, the pieces are stil there, lying in the graveyard, but I see your point. Still, would be a great (re)addition to the park. And the farthest I've ever gone into Canada would be Niagra Falls, so no chance of PCW. Yarrr

As long as Wonderland is getting 3+ million people a year nothing is going to change. Sure, CF might end up giving us a decent coaster at some point, but Wonderland will never be in a position to get a good ride constantly like SFGadv,CP,etc. That is unless a park worth of competion is built closeby. Carnage
^ Not too mention that PCW is run much better then SFGAdv. SFGAdv just has the better ride lineup.

I don't like green grass, it just means it needs to be cut soon. I actually really liked Canada's Wonderland. They didn't have a standout coaster, but the park was really nice and well maintained and operated, unlike my last couple of visits to SFGAd. Of course, I like my location and don't plan on moving to PCWo anytime soon (at least not until Paul finishes funding Canaba and forms his own country)

I've even told all my friends how bad the place is and to save all there money for our SFGAdv trip at the end of august... First - How would you know if you haven't been Second - PCW has a great selelction of Flats and a wide variety of coasters - not the best ones, but coasters none-the less Third - Have you offered them any constructive criticism? - I've been multiple times this year and have seen the best operations ever - no stacking of trains, ride ops having fun and paying attention to guests, shorter lines, better quality food the list of improvements goes on. As for bad experiences - I had one, contacted the park via email and received a call later that day to apologize and to let me know that they would be correcting the problem. They also thanked me for my message and stated that they cannot improve without valuable guest input. Lastly - PCW has the highest attendance of any seasonal theme park in North America - I don't think that you are sending them any sort of message. As for the park - it is getting better. I'd like to see some more installations in the next year, but remember record breaking and big does not mean the best - Thunderhead, Everest, Balder - great rides, not the biggest or fastest. Sorry about the rant - just something to think about....
Gnome
I don't think the paramount names will be dropped as the Cedar Fair site currently has them listed as Paramount W/e, although thats not to say it won't change, but I find it highly unlikely. ParkTrips
I see the Rubbermaid stock has been up and down but overall pretty flat since the announcement in May... have they not trashcan'd up the Paramount Parks yet??? pgathriller
I thing PGA will be needing some work. My name is pgathriller and that was when I loved PGA. They removed Greazed Lightnin and the Stealth which were my two favorite coasters at the park. Then they remove 2 great Huss rides (Triple Play, Orbit) which were my favorite flats. What have they added? A water park and the Survivor ride. The water park is pretty good in IMO but PGA has a real weak coaster and flat ride variety. Im hoping Cedar Fair tries to improve there lineup of rides. I don't know where they can add a new roller coaster without removing one. I would be happy enough if they added a couple of decent flats. I still enjoy Invertigo, Top Gun and Vortex. I once thought they should tear down Grizzly and add a new roller coaster but I realized it's a great family roller coaster and it should stay. So all in all if Cedar Fair adds atleast 2 decent flats I will be happy. I mean as for flats this is all they have- Delerium- A great ride Beserker- LAME- do they still have it? Stunt Tower- My favorite drop tower Flying Eagles- Not much care for this ride Centrifuge- A decent ride I wouldn't mind seeing a Huss Top Spin installed. I think Survivor the ride was a good addition just because it's a good family ride but it doesn't make up for all they took out. I don't know why they removed the 2 Huss rides. PGA IMO has turned more into a family park over the years which is good in a way but they don't really have much for thrill ride seekers. So after writing my opinion, I'm really interested in what other people are hoping happens to PGA. EDIT: I just read this topic- http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=27573 PGA should buy one of these! lol. Would that be realistic?
