coasterlover420 Posted July 6, 2006 Posted July 6, 2006 This is pretty much what it sounds like. Anyway, basically you make a recreation of ANY roller coaster, then I create a sort of ballot and everyone votes for the one they think is the best. Then the winner wins some sort of prize (TBA. You can help me decide what it will be ). I will have a running list of the people that have decided to join: rcoasters coasterbuzz36763 thefitness TheKlockster Vekoma Fan Boy coaster mad worm colincoon CP_RULES xX-Linde-Xx Angry_Gumball (Red=dropped out) (Green=submitted) When you are finished, email the track to me (coasterlover420@hotmail.com) and I will put them all into one post at one time. I will set up a due date sometime soon.
rcoasters Posted July 6, 2006 Posted July 6, 2006 Even though I'm crap at NL, I might participate ! It would make me get some more experience with the editor.
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted July 6, 2006 Posted July 6, 2006 I'll give a whack at it. Do we need to use 3DS objects for like a station or something cuz i can't do crap for castom supports.
viking86 Posted July 6, 2006 Posted July 6, 2006 ^Does it say anywhere that you have to use 3ds objects??
coasterbuzz36763 Posted July 6, 2006 Posted July 6, 2006 can someone send the corkscrew recreation at Alton Towers that is a premade track to me?
coasterlover420 Posted July 7, 2006 Author Posted July 7, 2006 ^I believe it comes with Jakizle's Rita recreation.
BiCoastal Kid Posted July 7, 2006 Posted July 7, 2006 Also, if it's premade, why do you need it for this thread?
thefitness Posted July 7, 2006 Posted July 7, 2006 This is a dumb Question But how do you know how tall the lift is in the editor?...when you click on the peice and at the top it says segemnt ***ft that is the length of it right? or is it the hieght?
Worm Posted July 7, 2006 Posted July 7, 2006 You click on Statistics in the coaster drop down. or other way round... Anyhoo, I'M IN!! Are we allowed to use AHG? cause i hope not, cause i suck at it!
BiCoastal Kid Posted July 7, 2006 Posted July 7, 2006 Okhow do you know how tall it is then? Or if you're in the side view, you can tell how tall it is by the grid. Also, I'm sure AHG is allowed, just not required.
coasterlover420 Posted July 7, 2006 Author Posted July 7, 2006 Any enhancer is allowed! To tell how tall it is, if there is a node there, highlight just that node and click "N." If it's not a node, you just have to guess. or do some of those^ things. BiCoastal Kid, you seem to be following this thread rather frequently. Are you in?
CP_RULES Posted July 7, 2006 Posted July 7, 2006 ^^If you are on side view, isnt the Y-Coordinate height?
coasterlover420 Posted July 7, 2006 Author Posted July 7, 2006 ^Yes, but if it is hard to tell because there isn't a vertex there, you need to guess (it is usually pretty close)
BiCoastal Kid Posted July 8, 2006 Posted July 8, 2006 Eh, no. I just like to read the NoLimits threads. I have no means for making a good recreation right now.
