  1. Good point. My brother's a WDW CM, and he's taken several Disney Cruises over the last five years or so....each for 50% off, or something like that (don't quote me). Disney cruises are great, only if you don't mind the huge number of kids on board. Carnival's okay for a quick hop to the Bahamas, but anything beyond that deserves Princess Cruise Line. Anyway, glad you enjoyed your first trip on the seas, Soren!
  2. So then what is the clothodial, exponential spliningal force vector of the elliptical parabola of aqua?
  3. YOU'RE WELCOME!!!!! Just curious, what does B&M do right then, if anything?
  4. And let's not forget the one exception to all this "cosmetic surgery sucks" talk......breast cancer patients. A mastectomy should be the only real reason to consider cosmetic breast enhancement surgery, IMHO.
  5. ^ Proving once again that women never listen to what men want. Scott "my vote went to natural" B.
  6. Awesome stuff, Paul. Thanks a bunch. Did you just see the trains being offloaded into the makeshift station? I'm not gonna say too much, but those aquatrax cars sure look comfy, huh? Oh, before I forget, I'll pm you the link to the double secret webcam featuring bonus footage of Dick Kinzle cleaning out his office and CF's private off-site manufacturing plant for prototype trash cans. It's amazing stuff!
  7. Joe, point deduction for no In'nOut pics. Other than that, nice pics. I'm glad I'm not the only one who's not afraid to admit that XScream scares the living crap out of you! I can't comment on the other monstrosity up there, since we haven't been back since it was added, but I know I will never step foot on XScream ever again. I love the Vegas stuff. I'm anxious to see what had you so transfixed about the Wynn sign. And oh yeah, Treaure Island, or "TI" as they like to call it now ( ) used to have a much better sign, and a much better show outside. Oh well, I guess. Scott "I miss Vegas" B.
  8. Nice report. Photoshopped TRs: the wave of the future. Seriously, I've seen several examples of Photoshop work in people's TRs this season, and it's really cool to see the creativity. It adds a lot to what so many of us have seen over and over again already. Again, nice job.
  9. ^ Yeah, the finale was sort of a letdown. I was actually kind of pulling for the Southies. Either them or Air Force. I couldn't stand that one genius kid...the blond one. Eh, at least they only walked away with $500,000 a piece after taxes. I was really thinking it would be a bit more. Maybe next season if it gets renewed, which I hope it does. I think the reason it didn't catch on as much as we thought was because you actually had to use your brain on this show. Right away, that turns 75% of Americans away from the tv. If it doesn't involve bitching and moaning about multiple roommates, then America isn't as interested, unfortunately.
  10. ^ I agree with you 200% on that rant. Trust me, you're not alone on that one. Rumor has it (I'll call it rumor for now until I can provide a link) that the Wonders of Life pavillion is only used for certain private functions, etc., and it will soon be converted to another Nemo attraction!!! Oh, the freakin' humanity!! IMHO, Soarin' is a great ride.......one time. After I got off the ride the first time, I simply thought 'ok, you guys can bring The Land back now, thanks.' It's a great tool for California tourism, but that's about it. Hmmm, come to think of it, that fits right in with the new EPCOT Future World theme of eh, whatever goes. Scott "what's so 'future' about Future World now?" B. EDIT: wow, this thread got off topic real quick.
  11. I hear ya. You're well within the limits of sanity, my friend. Shhhhhh. If they start charging for it, my life will be ruined. Ruined I tell ya!!
  12. Nice job and great pics!! Is it a somewhat fair comparison to call IB America's Blackpool? The two parks always remind me of each other when I see pics of 'em. Besides Knoebels, IB is my most anticipated park for next year. Maybe we'll try to plan for that event next year!
  13. $20 says that's the next piece. Seriously, have some of you actually watched this all day? Just curious. Scott "and worried" B.
  14. Well, yeah, I forgot to mention that if you take away the stupid loop, it's one of the most incredible structures around.
  15. ^ Yep. And to think, two of the most beautiful are also two of the worst.......Mean Streak and SOB. Well, IMO, of course.
  16. I think that may have had a little something to do with it, but it wasn't the main reason. I'm picturing this flick as doing 10 times better in DVD sales than it does in theatrical release. Like Julie said, the "cult classic" thing makes me wanna see it for a good laugh, but like many folks out there, I'm not willing to pull the trigger on a $30 outing to the movies to see this crap. I'll just wait until it hits the small screen over and over again *cough* TNT, TBS *cough*. I'm just glad to see the trilogy final complete....Anaconda, Lake Placid, and now Snakes.
  17. ^ Sorry, I was too busy laughing at Mr. T dancing. And as far as that coffee cup goes, are you certain it wasn't aqua in the cup, and it wasn't sitting next to the trax, rather than the support?
  18. ^ Ah yes, good times. Nothing like getting jacked up for your shoes.
  19. This stuff is simply classic. I can honestly say I was never a "member," although there was plenty more that made up for it, unfortunately. I also agree that EPCOT was much better back then, than it is now. Don't get me wrong, it's still one of my top 3 parks to visit, but back then it didn't have to succumb to lame Pixar tie-ins, etc.. It took a huge chance at being a "permanent World's Fair," and I think all of us who visited it in those days still appreciate that. Anyway, great job, Ted. I'm also looking forward to embarrassing myself "retro-style" as well. Scott "BKs, " B.
  20. ^ I hear you loud and clear! I said it back then, and I'll say it again. If you wanna learn about The United States of America's early history, then go to Boston. Go to Philadelphia. Go to Washington, D.C. No one ever needed the lovable mouse providing an afternoon parade to teach us about Francis Scott Key or Betsy Ross! Would it have benefitted the local community, as someone mentioned above? Probably. Does America need anymore "dumbing down" of the educational system? No. If you've ever seen Jay Leno's "Jaywalking" segment on his show, then this is what I imagine the clients of the park to have been. And frankly, that scares me. I know this argument is pointless now, but hey, we didn't have the internet to whine about things back then, right? We're just making up for that now. Scott "Disney has it's places in American history. Virginia is not one of them." B.
  21. For those of you interested, I stumbled across this old article which I had clipped and saved in 1993. For the record, I'm glad this park never happened. I've also got a huge pullout section on the proposed park and the fight that ensued. I'll try and scan it, shrink it, and piece it together if anyone's interested.
  22. ^ Yeah, I had a feeling that one would surface. That's why I said "about" 12 theme parks. I've actually spoken loosely of Holiday World as a theme park in the past, and technically, by definition, I guess you really could consider it one. However, for argument's sake, when stacked against the parks mentioned in my post, it just can't realistically be compared. Yes, the different parts of the park are "themed," but the park itself obviously doesn't immerse you the way the others do, which is the main difference. Perhaps another "honorable mention" ribbon, huh?
