First Defunct B&M?
thrillgeek replied to 11slataus's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
You all beat me to it. Led Zeplin or Vortex at CGA would be my guess. With how many coasters CGA has lost in the last 10 years (3 I believe) It's a big possibility it could be Vortex. -
Worst Lift Hill View
thrillgeek replied to Coaster Curt's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Although it's not open yet I think Gold Striker at CGA will have a terrible lift view. I mean you have an enclosed tunnel at the top. How could it get any worse?? -
I really wanted to vote for Yolo but I agree with others. It just doesn't seem as intense and fun based on the pics and video we have so far. I'll be riding Yolo later this year so I'll be able to at least get my opinion on that ride at that time. Gatekeeper I really don't see myself going to CP any time in the near future unfortunately.

thrillgeek replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Trying to be patient for an update on pricing and all. Just kind of hard when I got the requested time off work already and am so excited to go! My first and only other WCB was 2010 and this time I'm looking forward to enjoying this event with my lovely girl friend. We are also getting Disneyland AP's and going there for the week after this event. -

That 2nd pic on the last page posted by Robb sure makes for a great background on a phone or computer! Looks great so far. -

The BEST roller coaster view EVER???
thrillgeek replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
That sure is some breathtaking views from the coasters! -
Just wanted to share my thoughts on Superman after finally riding it yesterday. First off not only did I ride it, I was able to get 6 rides on it! The crowds all day were super lite. Longest wait was about 20 min because it broke down. Now for it being the day before 4th of July I was expecting a little more people but hey I'm glad they stayed away. Now the ride itself really blew me away! I'm sure I'm one of the few but at the end of the day I decided it beat out Medusa as my favorite in the park. Yes it's super short but it was just so intense and different from all the other coasters in the park. I think I ended up riding every row except the 1st which I was kinda bummed about. Either way I agree with what others were saying about the airtime in the front. It's way more intense than I had ever imagined on a small compact coaster like this! It's so intense that my brain was still trying to recover from the fact I was nearly ejected out of my seat that I didn't really get to enjoy the heart line roll at the top. Overall my favorite part of the ride is the extreme pop of air at the top and the really disorienting G's at the bottom of the cliff hanger drop combined with the non inverting loop right after. Going backwards into the non inverting loop was also really fun and disorienting while also giving a surprising thrust of air. I really doubt capacity will be a huge issue with this if they dispatch as quick as they have been. With such a small station and all it's seems like less than 20 second dispatches! I love it! To sum things up this ride is now my favorite in the park and I look forward to night and rainy rides on it durring the winter!

I enjoy the older classics way more than the newer ones but yes I do. Do you have your nose pierced?

Flight Deck at CGA during coasting for kids -
I forgot to post about this last week. My girl friend and I went to SFDK last week. We got there around 11 and went straight to Roar knowing the line would be long and only get worse later. With school buses in the parking lot we knew it would be a long day. While in line for Roar however it got worse. A group of about 5-6 girls were in front of us. They realized after being in line for about 10 min they couldn't bring their backpacks on the ride. They than proceed to jump the Q-Line right in front of a park employee! They than come back and hop the railing again right in front of us! I yelled to the employee to enforce their line jumping policy and he said "What is that?" I explained to him the policy and he said its ok they can do that. I was so pissed!! If Six Flags does this at all parks I'm never coming again when school groups are there.

Spent 2 days of last week at SFDK. This week went to Coasting For Kids at CGA and Water World yesterday! Haven't had a 2 week span like that in a while! Also in 2 weeks riding Superman hopefully.
