  1. Have any of our German friends seen any updates on this? I'm heading that way at the end of the month and a link to the German forums would be much appreciated.
  2. The lights certainly aren't the most exciting addition but it will probably keep families there a little later, which means extra dough. And I wouldn't get my hopes up regarding new phases at SVV this summer. I think that they're additions will be a bit more modest.
  3. My bad. I just assumed that it was the large one. Either way the car is badass.
  4. It's an Intamin and that is one of the coolest coaster cars EVER! Intimidator 305 would have looked nice with stock car trains that looked like this.
  5. My wife and I are heading to Germany for a couple of weeks in May/June and we found a much better deal for collision coverage through our current insurance provider. It's basically $70 for the add on policy and the coverage offered by the rental company was going to be $9/day ($135 for the whole trip).
  6. What's with all of he head knocking whiplash talk? Extreme laterals aren't going to knock people into each other. Both people would flop in the same direction. And if people can survive rides like Hades and Voyage I'm sure that they would survive I-305. Unless rickets have become a common disease in the mid-altanic region. I'm certainly happy that they're not Maverick restraints but an open t-bar MF style car would have been ideal. Do the straps on Tornado contain a metal strap or are they just the nylon?
  7. I remember reading a couple of years ago, that Phantasialand opened at 9:00 am, but the rides did not open until 10:00 am or later. Is that still the case? I am planning at the end of May.
  8. I did this a couple of weekends ago and it was pretty cool. The park was dead so we walked right on and had the course to ourselves. The harness takes away any fear that I might have had with regards to height.
  9. I don't understand how a blog can much of an impact on excitement at all. The photos and animations are all I need.
  10. Where did the family rating come from? If Prowler is family rated then I'd love to see what their other installations are rated.
  11. IMO it will weigh a lot more than two sections of DM track. That's a lot of lift hill between supports and the track structure on the lift is extremely bulky. The cranes used to pull it off will probably have some beef.
  12. ^I'd guess that you're right. The only other option that I can even see being possible is a temporary support placed in between permanent supports.
  13. Your park to park comparisons seem to be spot on. Nice TR.
  14. I approve. The layout tweaks make it look like the best of the 3 CF B&M hypers.
  15. This isn't a full on trip report. I was working on a video project for the park and took the DSLR along for fun. Here's a little late season Prowler love. 2nd hill 3rd hill/s-turn entrance Beginning of super awesome fun time/double down Double up through the lift Double down again
  16. Ummmmm.....what? Whoops! Prepare your necks for a karate choppin'.
  17. The wording on the Intimidator site, the quote from Kinzel at the press conference and Pilgrims Plunge. The PP animations had the same restraints that you see on the Intimidator videos and it wound up having the new overhead lapbars. The guy that does the animations apparently hasn't figured out a way to reproduce the new restraint system.
  18. I don't think that a design could ever exists that doesn't bum people out. A 300' mega-lite is underwhelming? Enough said. And hasn't the OTSR issue been thoroughly debunked by now? It's safe to assume that our necks won't have to worry about transition karate chops on this ride.
  19. Diamondback rips me out of my seat at least 4 times.
  20. It's open. http://www.coastercommunity.com/schlitterbahn-vacation-village-opening.html
