  1. It's probably just a mag brake before it hits the pinchers. I'm pretty sure that Silver Bullet and Patriot have them as well.
  2. They started selling them shortly after they gave them to the Mayhemers.
  3. Blog update with teaser vid. http://www.worldsoffun.com/public/news/blog/
  4. Just show up at the park on Sept 1st and you'll get to attend the announcement. http://www.worldsoffun.com/public/news/special_events.cfm?mode=story&current_root=149&story_id=221
  5. Today at Mayhem they confirmed the name is Prowler and they showed off the logo. The actual announcement is coming Sept 1st at 11am.
  6. It's 12 bucks. It's cheaper than even park events with a season pass discount.
  7. Whoops! Wrong forum, please move.
  8. Join us for a day of daredevilry and fun! Advance registration is only $12.00 for ACE members ($36.00 for non-members) and includes admission to the park, two hours of ERT, a catered lunch and more. Festivities begin with ERT on Mr. Freeze and the park's newest, most twisted scream machine to-date, Evel Knievel. Evening ERT will be on The Boss and classic Screamin' Eagle. You can download the flier or register online at http://www.ace18.org/daredevildaze Advance registration must be postmarked by September 1 or received online by midnight CT on September 7. Late registration is also available the day of the event.
  9. I highly doubt that they announce it on Saturday. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a teaser tossed out for the Mayhem attendees to chew on but an announcement without the media just doesn't makes sense IMO. And that $1.2 mill is probably for construction costs. A cheap GCI would be $6 mill.
  10. I don't see it as being obvious. I just can't picture a park announcing a ride at an enthusiast event. They will want to have local media there and would probably want to make a much bigger deal of it.
  11. This along with VooDoo have really impressed me.
  12. Half caveman half man? That would be hilarious. The could call it Shirtless Jive the Ride.
  13. Aren't all of their coasters originally themed?
  14. The blog has also been updated. http://www.worldsoffun.com/public/news/blog/index.cfm?year=2008&month=8&day=5
  15. It looks like the package is causing problems.
  16. The ghost town area is off on it's own and can only be seen while riding the train. Patriot in the back is my fav as well. A recent ride up front caused be to go blurry at the bottom of the drop and that's never happened before. Something seems different this year. I ride TW every time I visit the park and I don't find it rough at all. I don't love the ride because there's a couple of slow moving sections but the handful of air hills makes it worth the short wait it usually has.
  17. Patriot isn't anywhere close to 300' and had track on site right around this time.
  18. Here's some clues from the back parking lot at WoF. http://bradleyrobertson.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=69 It's pretty clear what's coming. This is the perfect time to get started. The area that's flagged is a dense forest. Patriot was actually started earlier than this and I would image that steel coasters are a bit easier to put together.
  19. Nice! That ravine looks absolutely ghoulish.
  20. Here's some clues from the back parking lot at WoF. http://bradleyrobertson.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=69
  21. Larger ferris wheel - agree Giant Huss - probably too expensive for a park this size Flying Swing - I would love to have one but Flying Dutchman probably would keep that from happening Tea Cup - not me cup of tea but a good addition New Log Ride - total agreement, but a lot of people would be pissed about them taking out an old ride Disco - can't agree with your assessment but it would probably be a popular ride. I prefer the Revolutions. Water Dark Ride - Fine by me.
  22. The Maverick stuff came in crates because it was built overseas and was shipped in those crates. B&M seems to ship all of the US fabricated track on flatbed trucks.
