  1. Here's an update from this afternoon. http://www.coastercommunity.com/prowler9.html
  2. So the entrance is on the splash down side of the station?
  3. This shot is also from the official Prowler page.
  4. Major bent construction is done. http://prowler.worldsoffun.com/public/latest/index.cfm?gallery_directory=construction&startRow=331&maxRow=15
  5. Join us Sunday March 1st for a group Prowler construction tour at Worlds of Fun. This tour is open to active coaster club members and guests of club members (limit 3 guests per club member). Please keep in mind that the Prowler site is still an active construction site, which means you might get some dirt on you. There are also trip hazards and nails scattered throughout the site. There is no climbing on the ride and all tourists must stick with the group. Photography is encouraged. The tour will start at noon. We will cancel the tour for rain or extreme cold so please keep an eye on tour page for updates. We will also contact everyone that has RSVP'd if we do have to cancel. All attendees will need to RSVP by Tuesday Feb 24th. I'll keep a running list so please send me an email at jason@coastercommunity.com with your contact information, the group that you belong to and how many guests you're bringing. Tour updates can be found here Group Prowler Tour
  6. That is freakin' low. http://www.greatcoastersinterns.com/images/uploaded/384.jpg You could almost reach out and slap some cement.
  7. They could do it as an upcharge in the US. I would probably rather ride that they a sky coaster.
  8. Train #1 actually showed up this morning.
  9. There's a creek that divides the station from the rest of the ride. There's two bridges. One for the list and the other for the return to the station.
  10. Prowler is pretty much using a "waffle" slab. It's 5 foot deep trenches that connect all of the footers. It's probably a lot more concrete than the slab approach though.
  11. There's an update on the official Prowler page. They put the big ass bridge in last week. http://prowler.worldsoffun.com/public/latest/index.cfm?gallery_directory=construction&startRow=226&maxRow=15
  12. Hot damn! I love how it lays right on top of the walkways. I wonder if it will be sound dampened?
  13. I went out to pet the kitty yesterday and I took a camera. http://www.coastercommunity.com/index.php/prowler8.html The hop into the s-turn
  14. An update from the park. http://prowler.worldsoffun.com/public/latest/index.cfm?gallery_directory=construction&startRow=166&maxRow=15 Bridge!!!
  15. These are much better than a lot of old photos that are floating around. Great quality.
  16. Here's an update from this afternoon. http://www.coastercommunity.com/index.php/prowler6.html The last of the footer trenches Bye, bye footer trenches
  17. This is good stuff. Keep it coming.
  18. Here are a couple of cool shots from yesterday. double down through the woods wide angle drop shot
  19. The one that they're currently working on is the tallest.
  20. Another update from the park. http://www.worldsoffun.com/public/news/blog/ http://prowler.worldsoffun.com/public/latest/index.cfm?gallery_directory=construction&startRow=136&maxRow=15 Snow makes it better. Yellow snow makes it worse.
  21. The latest WoF blog entry shows them topping Prowler off. http://www.worldsoffun.com/public/news/blog/index.cfm?year=2008&month=11&day=25 There are also some new shots in the gallery. http://prowler.worldsoffun.com/public/latest/index.cfm?gallery_dire...&maxRow=15
  22. Those tall one's don't look like they would survive a lift like that. I would be really nervous standing anywhere near that.
  23. It sounds as if not spending money on mystery charm equals not closing your doors.
  24. I agree. The bents in the parking lot awaiting placement are between knee and hip height. The 2nd hill that goes though the lift isn't even that tall. The two bridges across the creek are going to take some time though.
  25. The weather was pretty nice yesterday so we headed up to WoF to see how the drop/lift are progressing. They are 3 bents away from the apex and those will likely be installed in the next couple of days. All of the track bed layers are in place back in the turnaround and workers have started making their way back to the lift area on the out run. http://coastercommunity.com/gallery2/v/Construction/prowler/
