I stayed at the Econolodge a couple of times and its pretty good. You can easily walk to the front gate so you can save on parking. It's not as nice as the Wingate but a bit cheaper.

Positives - SFoT Titan on the helix, Intimidator 305, SFMM Goliath before the braking Negatives - El Toro, New Texas Giant, Skyrush Laterals - The Original Texas Cyclone with 4 seat cars and no dividers, any wild mouse - the laterals on those rides are brutal.

Looks like this years water challenge may be a bit more difficult. Perhaps that new topper track will help.

I think I need to make a trip to China now.

I need to remember to carry some zip lock bags for the electronics.

Got my plane tickets booked, rental car reserved, and my passport ready. All that is left is to book my hotel and to figure out how to do the water challenge. It was next to impossible at last years Deep South Bash.

Just got my ticket, my plane ticket, and car rental done. All I got left is to rent a hotel and try and figure what to do Sunday. Last years bash was a blast. Can't wait.

^^Great tips. I too will be at Kennywood for my first time this Saturday or Sunday after attending Coastermania at Cedar Point. Does Kennywood have any FastPass or FastLane type of services available and if so are they worth it?

Now I am pondering if I really want to drive back to San Antonio and torture myself one last time on the Rattler. I think the last time I rode it was about 3 years ago.

Great report. I usually find operations pretty good at SFoT. That incident at the New Texas Giant sounded quite horrible.

^ I agree. The FastLane system is my favorite one so far. I really like not having to reserve times to come back and being able to ride as many times as you want. Having Fastlane riders get inserted into the station is great and allows you to choose your seat. I tried it both in Kings Dominion and Carowinds and loved it. I skipped the system at Hersheypark since you are allowed to only ride once per a ride. Which is not worth it for the price they charged. Plus the roping off of fasttrack seats is just a horrible system. One operator at Stormrunner just let the Fastltrack seats go empty when there were no fasttrack riders and not allowing people from other lanes to fill seats.

I agree. These things are not pink things. The old ones were nice and refreshing, these were not.

After riding sooper dooper Looper on Tuesday, I will have to say that the new trains are sooper comfortable. If SFMM got these it would be amazing.
