I was at the park today - not a good day. I should've known when I approached the parking gate and it took 25 minutes to clear at 10am it would be bad. Something was wrong with the computers, so I heard. I didn't see any crane near X2 when I drove in. Lot's of 1 train operations today: Apocalypse, Tatsu, to name a few. Deja Vu and Collossus still closed. Gold Rusher wasn't open as of 1:30 for the day yet. Superman ran very little and inconsistently. They were attempting to run the left side today (I was there until 2) unsuccessfully. No rehearsal rides for me today after wasting nearly a hour total waiting 2 separate times. It needs a lot of work before the G.P. gets there next Saturday. This will be a mess...

I rode Superman today - Sunday 3 times . The launches were sporadic compared to yesterday's (Saturday) rehearsals where I got 8 rides in a little over an hour. Saturday they were using the left track. I was watching from the Goliath hill and they were working on that side which is what I think your picture is of. The car was at the base of the vertical hill. This was around 1pm. Finally the that car was returned to the station. They then started using the right side, but numerous troubles needed to be worked out. Looks like some stuff needs to be worked out to make it more reliable and ready for the GP. I know it's a works in progress.

Did it look like the figure was repainted, or does it look like it may be sitting there for a while? Just wondering if they rehabbed it and are just waiting to add it back to the tower. Maybe for Opening Day? It was hard to see, but I think "Sup" was repainted. My last trip to the mountain was in Mid January and Superman wasn't back there then. I can't say when he appeared, but he's there now. I rode Pocky several times this morning and saw him there.

enter the new numbers there, hit create and it should be updated. Might need a refresh on your machine to show the new numbers... Thanks I'll try that. I didn't look in ClubTPR - no wonder. Great quick response.

I've looked all over this morning to try to find how to change the coaster count in my signature. I've even done a search for the answer including FAQ. Can I do this? I got the credit SEFK now.

I'm hoping the statues come back to the loading platform. It looks weird without them. I'll be back for more rehearsals today. It's as noisy as before, I guess that's the nature of the beast. Most of my rides yesterday were in the first launch row with 2 seats. I looked to the side at the top of the hill and I was even with the brakes up there.

I too was at "the mountain" today. I studied all night for my Superman rehearsals. I got 8 of them. I was there around noon when they started. This ride is just amazing! I've never gone 104mph backwards. I was told they clocked it this afternoon when I was there. I also complemented Neal Thurman (on the platform) for revitalizing an "old ho hum" ride. Riddler is back to 2 train operation. "Pocky" aka Apocalypse is down to 1 train for annual maintenance according to the posted sign. I got my reps in early today. I found the Superman figure that used to be on top of the tower. He is sitting on the ground next to a$$man to the west of the "Pocky" lift hill. You also can see a lot of track and cars for the Green Lantern there also. I hate to end on a bad note, but here it is. Today's crew at Goliath was one of the worst I've ever experienced. Their dispatches were so slow and irregular, it was unbelievable! They had 2 trains running, but the queue line was barely moving during the hour I waited to ride. Superman is a must ride for all...

I too was at Knotts Friday at the open. As said before Ghostrider was a "delayed opening." This took about 45 minutes. I finally rode it in the second row and it was rough! Both Monte & Jag were down it that corner of the park. When I got back to Xcelerator, they had a hoist with the catch car pulled out of the track. This was about 11:45. I'm not sure what happened since Thursday night, when I rode the last train at 6. There were no maintenance guys anywhere around to be seen. It finally opened at 3:00pm, and went down at 5:20. Not sure what that was all about, but the later closure had 3 maintenance guys there. I left at 5:45 as it was getting too cool to just stand at the station. I'm sure it was back up since they had a private event last night that ran until 1am. Riding Silver Bullet and Jaguar gives you a good view of the construction of "breaking wind." It seems very congested in that area. All things considered it was not a good day Friday at the Farm.

That's disappointing for me. The third hill airtime was my favorite of the entire ride. Soon we'll all know when it reopens for the season. -
Agreed, the back is my favorite seat. I was there for media day. I rode it in the last row for my first ride. They were still doing landscaping at that time and there were a lot of "displaced" bees around. I'm allergic to bee stings On the last pull up to the spike before letting slowly down into the station, a bee got between me and the restraints. You guessed it, I was stung. I then headed to Mayo hospital's ER for a shot of epinephrine to stop the swelling. Not a good visit, but I still enjoy Vu each time I'm at the Mountain.

Thanks for your response. I'll probably be at the Mountain next weekend and hope to ride it if it's running. My only thought is I liked riding the original Superman (and all coasters) with my arms up. If you're on an end seat (which I like) you can't do that with these new restraints. The exception is the first row of 2. Is that correct?

Trust me Mean Streak is terrible and getting worse every year. One woody you need to ride is Blue Streak. I absolutely love it. Gemini is also fun and Sky Hawk always scares the $hit out of me every time I ride it. One last one if you like "ear boxing" - Mantis by Millie. All those rides will keep you busy.

I found with the trims in place that the 3rd hill yielded the best airtime. Now that the trims are off, please don't add anymore. -

I remember being at a Coastermania event and Monty Jasper - (I'm not sure of his exact title) Director of Maintenance for all Cedar Fair parks made a statement that Rebel Yell will never run backwards again. For me I could care less. I don't do coasters backwards unless you're talking the New Superman at Magic Mountain. -

I love Rebel Yell, and can ride it all day and have I get there in the late summer to ride and find it great. One disclaimer, I ride it in the front seat only. From personal experience Hurler is brutal (I can endure only 1 ride) , and Grizzly isn't too bad although this past summer I rode it at night and read a post here on TPR about hitting your fingers on one of the over passes. It was dark and guess what - OUCH! For me Rebel Yell gets my vote. -

I'll tell you one thing. Cedar Point won't let another coaster in the chain (Cedar Fair) go faster then Millennium Force. I'm predicting 92 MPH. That will work... -

Okay Robb, I guess I'll call you the "Coaster Grand Poo-Bah!" I guess now I'll need to stop calling it In-Trim-adator. We'll see what it's like this year !!! Besides you can't spell listen. -

This is a L.A. thing! Now it has become a "Cedar Fair thing." They put one in at Knotts last year, and they're always busy. -
Do the arm guards include the last row? I can't really see from the picture you posted, but I'm guessing yes. I hope not since I always like to ride with my arms up. Looks like that won't happen anymore on Superman. Oh well, at least the backwards launch, increased speed 100+, and to the top hopefully will make up for that. Middle seats look like hands up!
