Mitch Hawker's Coaster Poll 2009!

^ From what I understand is that they are going to try to use them on Cheetah. But there is always hope that they will move the entire coaster to Valdosta. -
Mitch Hawker's Coaster Poll 2009!

The secret in riding the Beast is to ride it in a middle row of a car which is the non wheel seat. I think I am only one of a handful who still ranks it in the top 20. Yes, that is probably a bit crazy but we all have at least one or two strange choices in our top 20's right? -
Mitch Hawker's Coaster Poll 2009!

I really do love GCI and I especially love terrain coasters. With that said Prowler ranked #24 out of 83 coasters that I rated in this year's poll. Next to SFOT's Shockwave, Prowler was my most anticipated coaster to ride in 2009. I visited Worlds of Fun this past July where I rode the coaster a total of 6 times. Two rides were in the morning, while the other four were late in the afternoon. While I found to be a lot of fun, I still have to say that I was slightly disappointed in it. While it is true that the overall layout is a bit different than a conventinal GCI coaster, it still produces that familiar fast/smooth/out of control with a few short pops of air experience. For the record I ranked Prowler behind Kentucky Rumbler (8), Lightning Racers (12/13), Thunderhead (17), and Evil Knievel (18). Voyage gets my, "most improved coaster" award this year. In the last two polls it was in my lower 20's, but this year it jumped up to #7. Overall, Holiday World was my favorite park experience/visit I had all year. I am happy to see Boulder Dash (my all time favorite) and Ravine Flyer II (5) ranked so high. Those are simply amazing. -

I heard of a possible rumor that they may actually be visiting it during the midwest trip. -
He is talking about Worlds of Fun. If I had to choose, I would choose Six Flags St. Louis. I prefer the overall park in terms of rides and atmosphere. I found Six Flags St Louis to be one of the nicer SF parks.

Mitch Hawker's Coaster Poll 2009!

For me, Voyage was running a lot better this year than it did when I rode it in 2007. We rode it opening weekend and yes, it did rain a lot the night before. The coaster shot up about 25 places in my listing. Heck, Our rides on The Legend were also very good. Even with that said, Raven is still my favorite coaster in the park. -

Virginia vs. New England

Busch Gardens Europe is one of my favorite parks in the country. However, my favorite wooden and steel coaster (Boulder Dash and Bizzaro) are located in your other option. So I would choose SFNE and Lake Compounce. You can always hit Quassy for and hour or two between the parks as well. I think they are getting a new family wooden coaster for next season if I am not mistaken. -
Wild Adventures Discussion Thread

I will have to say that my visit to Wild Adventures was a much more positive one this year when compared to my visit two years ago. The employees certainly were a lot better, the park was cleaner, as well as they had pretty much every ride in the park open. -

Today was opening day of the robo-coaster ride. Maybe that is why nobody mentioned anything about it yet. -

I had an earlier version of the Walt Disney World book. It is pretty much exactly the same except Big Thunder was not built yet. Awesome stuff!
