  1. As long as you call first to make sure the park is open to the public, you should never have a problem with private functions on long trips. If you don't make sure the park is open on the day you drive there, the only person you have to blame is yourself. -James Dillaman
  2. I think you should probably save your opinion until after you've tried it. Judging a coaster by looking at it is missing the point. -James Dillaman
  3. It'll be strange to me to see the racer going forwards on the midway side. When it ran forwards before was a little before my time... -James Dillaman
  4. Great Photos from one of my favorite Six Flags parks! I like the Flight of the Conchords reference (unless it was unintentional). It's business time!!! -James "You know when I'm down to my socks it's time for business that's why they're called business socks!" Dillaman
  5. While it's sad to see any old ride go, at least the one near me (Kennywood) is still operating... -James Dillaman
  6. I don't think it matters. If you want to think of it as an inversion, go right ahead. The question I have is how much fun will this ride be? I'm also concerned it won't have the interaction with Lake Shafer like many of the other rides at IB do, but the uniqueness of the ride definitely has something going for it. The small footprint also is good news for IB. I'm sure I'll get up there this summer, so I'll save my judgement of Steel Hawg until after I try it. -James Dillaman
  7. um.... that's one of the creepiest things on here in a while. If people like that are going in there, I'll be sure to go to the restroom before I enter the park, because that's the last thing I'd like to walk into.
  8. ^ If that happens, just embrace that it's your time and remember that you'll go down as one of the most unluckiest persons in the world... -James Dillaman
  9. The layout doesn't really strike me as a dive machine layout, though... I would be surprised (if the layout screamscape had is correct, of course) if this turns out to be a dive machine. -James Dillaman
  10. In the up close pic of the bridge, the netting doesn't look that bad at all. I think you'll still be able to see through it just fine. I'll need to get out here sometime... this looks really good. -James Dillaman
  11. Wow, the construction looks much more large scale than I had thought from the picture. Seeing it pan by in the video rekindles thoughts that it will be something big. -James Dillaman
  12. I'll buy a season pass again for a hyper... -James Dillaman
  13. "First train EVER!!!!!" -James "Ah the fun at Tatsu Campout" Dillaman
  14. Could this be the most elaborate April Fools joke ever? -James Dillaman
  15. The only place for it is if they get rid of either Fairly Odd Coaster or Runaway Reptar. Seriously, everyone is entitled to their different opinions. I happen to rather like MF, differing from Ginzo, although I enjoy hearing ginzo's views on things, as he's been to more parks than I have, and is also 5 years older (That's right, old man!!) Just because Liz and Joe don't agree with you on everything doesn't mean you're wrong, just a different person. And I have to agree that IB is a MUCH better park in terms of enjoyment of your day than CP is. -James Dillaman
  16. as is the pathway by the parking garage of back lot stunt coaster...
  17. I gurantee it won't be a huss ride. -James Dillaman
  18. If they put in a good steel coaster, I could care less where they put it! They can have it fly thourgh the festhaus for all I care!!! A good steel coaster at Kings Island is long overdue. -James Dillaman
  19. "And, I know that I'll hear from them for this. But, throwing God out successfully with the help of the federal court system, throwing God out of the public square, out of the schools. The abortionists have got to bear some burden for this because God will not be mocked. And when we destroy 40 million little innocent babies, we make God mad. I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People for the American Way -- all of them who have tried to secularize America -- I point the finger in their face and say, "You helped this happen." -- Rev Jerry Falwell, blaming civil libertarians, feminists, homosexuals, and abortion rights supporters for the terrorist attacks of Tuesday, September 11, 2001, quoted from John F Harris, "God Gave US 'What We Deserve,' Falwell Says," The Washington Post (September 14, 2001) There's what the man said. That's what I based it on. That sounds like hate speech, blaming the terrorist attacks on feminist, gays, the ACLU, and abortionists. -James Dillaman
  20. Well it would make me think twice about going to any college that feels it needs to add a roller-coaster to attract prospective students. Besides, if the coaster would ever break down, LU would blame it on the fact that God hates the gays... -James Dillaman
  21. ^ This is a radical sect of christianity. It's like saying that islamic extremists are muslims. They technically claim to be, but the vast majority of Christians do not buy in to the idealogy of Mr. Falwell. -James Dillaman
  22. Deal. So when can we see some pictures of Swan Lake, or where it was...? -James Dillaman
  23. ... you go to amusement parks on days when they're predicting rain, just for the shorter lines.
  24. If you give me a ticket, I'll go! I'm not renewing my pass this year, and I'm not paying full price for a park with nothing new... -James Dillaman
  25. I agree with Holiday World. While I love the park, I prefer Indiana Beach now. Every time I go to Holiday World the crowds just get worse and worse. The charm the park used to have is somewhat lost when you're waiting an hour plus for every ride. Don't even bother going near Thunder Bumpers (The bumper boats) on a hot day in the summer! The waterpark has always been one of my favorites, but was I the only persone dissapointed with their "Action River"? It was just a bigger lazy river with a few waterfalls that didn't even hang over the river itself. Their water slides are great, but waiting over an hour for each is not fun. I think the park grew faster than they expected, and they are experiencing growing pains. When I used to visit, we'd always stop by Guest Relations and let them know what a good experience we had at their park. The last time I went, the woman at the window seemed to not care at all what we had to say, and while I expect that at Cedar Point, it just didn't fit my viewpoint of what Holiday World is all about. Family owned, of course, but I hope they don't forget the power of making someone feel like their opinion is listened to and if they had a problem, at least it was heard. I don't want to bash Holiday World, they are a wonderful park, but it's hard to deal with the ever increasing crowds without major park improvements in pathways, food stalls, parking, etc. -James Dillaman
