  1. This is great, on my trip to Boston I may actually check out SFNE (I've never been) just because of the cost-lowering. Does SFNE due the empty pop can thing for an additional $10? -James Dillaman
  2. ^ Or even something worth riding! Even if it was smooth as glass, the layout just leaves so much to be desired. I don't mind riding a rough woodie, as long as it's a good coaster! If SoB wasn't rough, people would find themselves asleep by the end of the second helix. -James Dillaman
  3. Glad that's done. I drive around mason for my job, and I made sure to request that night off Good that he made it, but it would have been better if he jumped every trash can from cedar point! Nah... wouldn't have made that jump. -James Dillaman
  4. ^ Not to mention that Superman: Krypton Coaster is a much better ride Glad to see they're landscaping the rides moved from GL. I think this will fit in better in its new home than it could ever have hoped to at GL. -James Dillaman
  5. These things happen. How long has wildcat been running? How many circuits has it completed without incident? These things happen at lots of parks, you just don't hear about them usually. For instance, just in the 2 years I worked at KI, we had fingers lost on the Beast, a child hurt on a flat ride, and a death after riding Top Gun (not directly ride related, it was a heart attack) -James Dillaman
  6. Read the whole thread if you want to know for sure... Oh, and for the last time, It IS a hyper!!! -James Dillaman
  7. ^ not games, only a loser would work there j/k -James Dillaman
  8. I've been collecting pledges for 2 weeks, now, and my Dad offered to drive up with me (saving me miles on my car and the cost of gas). Is there going to be a table where we register at? My dad and I are planning on enjoying the park on Saturday, May 31st, and then he'll drop me off for the event Sunday. I haven't heard from Clint since getting the pledge forms. -James Dillaman
  9. ^ People rode the Beast with casts all the time when I worked there. -James Dillaman
  10. A cast is one thing, a sling is another. If it is a forearm cast, she shouldn't have many problems, but if it encompasses the elbow, or must be contained within a sling, she might have problems with OTSR's. -James Dillaman
  11. ^ Are you kidding? That would be a news story! "Drag queen rides Xcellerator over 25,000 times!" -James "who wouldn't click on that blurb to read more?!?" Dillaman
  12. Any more hints/updates, James? Can't reveal anything. Cedar Fair is really doing the Press Relations thing right this year at KI. Don't expect anything to come out until after the RK jump next week. -James Dillaman
  13. It looks a lot like the construction of the Dive Machine Splashdown areas if you ask me... -James Dillaman
  14. Yeah, and if it isn't open by Spring Conference (this coming weekend), they're gonna have a lot of angry ACEers on their hands... Yeah, but when are ACErs ever happy? j/k Anyway, I can't wait to see the first PTR's from Indiana Beach when they open for the season. Construction photos on TPR of this ride have been few and far between to say the least. -James Dillaman
  15. Did you know: Much of the support structure for the Big Bad Wolf was actually built by Schwarzkopf? -James Dillaman
  16. There was one great picture of TTD, though (The one with all the clouds). Although my eyes hurt from looking at the giant images. -James Dillaman
  17. Did you know that for a little while before Flight of Fear was opened, the (then) backwards Racer had one more dip at the end before the brakes than the forwards side? -James Dillaman
  18. I concur. I asked a couple people I know about it, and I think this'll be good for it. Not at all like the Stunt Coaster. That one isn't even in the middle of a lake, as it was origionally themed to Italian Job (It's supposed to look like the L.A. River). -James Dillaman
  19. Best time to go to KI is next year... -James Dillaman
  20. ^ Just as long as it actually is a splashdown. Backlot's is just simulated, the cars never come in contact with the water. Of course, this is B&M and that was Primier... -James Dillaman
  21. I just hope it's different from the lame "splashdown" that Backlot coaster does right next to it. -James Dillaman
  22. Although, the gist is right on the proposed layouts, the details are off. I wouldn't be looking for a lot of bunny hills, and the ride will most likely use more of the terrain behind The Crypt back in the woods. Also I will also be surprised if there is a splashdown. What I have seen didn't confirm it, but it also didn't rule it out. They weren't very detailed drawings in terms of anything besides the track itself. If Johnnyupsidedown says he heard there will be a splashdown effect, I trust his sources, so look for that. -James Dillaman
  23. NOT a Dive Machine. It's A Hyper. There will be a lake, though. You have to remember they took out Swan Lake. Also looking at Maverick, which is similarily themed in terms of the section of the park (Frontierland - Rivertown) Water is used but only for the ride to go over. -James Dillaman
  24. Wow your brother looks a lot like you, Joe. Great pics. In case I don't talk to you before then, have fun at Holiday World next week. -James Dillaman
