Superhero movie is actually better than most of those _____ movies. It wasn't created by those guys, but by the people who did airplane, and naked gun. This one actually had a story, unlike those other ones, and I actually got a few laughs out of the movie, unlike the other _____ movies. I'd rather take a cheese grater to my face, and then cover it in lemon juice, than watch meet the spartans again! But superhero movie had some great jokes, and I enjoyed it! 6/10 "We are gathered today to say goodbye to Lucile Adams" "Goodbye"

What stinks is that they will find somebody else to direct. Somebody less talented. Someone like Bret Ratner (IE X-Men 3)!

Geauga Lake Discussion Thread

Two coasters I am very happy to see being torn down to scraps. Rides on both of these were horrible for me, and once on each was enough. (Though strangely I rode villain twice, don't know what I was thinking) Hopefully the wood/steel go to better use, AKA being destroyed! -

Phoenix in the dark... Not as awesome as twister in the dark, but still the definition of craziness! -
Photo TR: Enchanted Forest, Oaks Park and Thrill-ville USA

Holy crap! Thanks for this trip awesome trip report. I had been to Enchanted Forrest/Thrillsville about 8 years ago, when I lived in Oregon, and remember it being the best thing since sliced bread! Just the theming was amazing, and to this day I like any type of walkthroughs, so I was in heaven. Also, I remember being scared out of my mind on a ride at Thrillsville, my change flying everywhere, and my mother yelling STOP THE RIDE! Ahh, this brings back memories. Again, thanks! -
Wet paint does not taste good! (Do not believe what they tell you in school!)

Yeah! It was one of the employees, and it looked exactly like the one in the movie. Down to the suit and all! People were talking about it all through the next preview!

Was it really dark? I keep hearing that it's so dark that it's disturbing...is that true? It was darkish (if that is a word, it is in my book), but nothing shocking or disturbing. Remember, the movie is PG13 and cost around 150 million to make. They are not going to make a really dark movie, because they have to make their money back! It was at times actually humorous. There were more laughs than shocks. PS- While the trailers were playing, an usher was checking the theater. There was a knock at the exit door, at the front. He opened it, and was ripped out the door and the joker ran in, locked the door, and ran around the theater laughing. It was one of the most surreal moments at the movies!

I liked it, but I think I'm the only one. I love M Nights movies, even Lady in the Water Yet again, I am strange, and tend to like most movies, so that may have an element it that. Just saw the midnight showing of The Dark Knight. I really liked it, but it wasn't amazing, nor the best movie of the year. The acting was good, the action was great, but there was something just off about it. I'm thinking the main thing was that it was to long. So much could have been left out. I don't think Harvey Dent should have been in the movie at all. Also, while Heath was great as the joker, it wasn't anything mind blowing, at least to me. He seemed more comedic, than threatening. But I still really liked the movie! I gave it an 8.8/10. Only Wall-E and Wanted has beat it out this summer, which is great!

Midnight showing for me! I'll try to get my review up after I get home. Here's hoping it doesn't let me down!
-
No, because rock is not really my bag of tea. Have you ever been to the movies more than once in a day?

For the summer, I try to keep mine up to date with summer movies.... Hey, I'm here for the beer. Do you know where it is?

As others have said, this is quite a sad sight. I was younger when this was six flags world of adventure, and the park really blew me away then. Especially this area, which was themed quite nice. And then, going back in 2006, and seeing the state of the park, including this area, made me sad. It was like a part of me was dying. Rest in Peace Geauga Lake, you will be missed. PS- Thanks for the amazing pictures. Not much has changed since my last visit.

I'm guessing at least 145 for the dark knight. I think it has a chance to be the number one opening of all time, but who knows. It's always a strange game. This weekend I saw Hellboy II. I liked it, but It wasn't as great as I thought it would be. It was visually amazing, but had some pacing problems. I hated, Hated, HATED the love stories. However, the troll market scene was one of the most amazing things I've seen in the theater in the last few years. 8.5/10

The strange thing is that they did allow single riders when we were there. However, matt sat on the inside, by him self, and lets just say his ride wasn't very comfortable. I did ride looper, but as I said, If you value feeling in your legs, it's not the ride for you. Lets just say I'm not going to be lining up for it's autograph .

Yeah, lets just say that I was about to join that lovely group of company, and loose my lunch. I think it should be renamed, to the lovely sound of Clothes Washer: The Ride!

Pretty much $3.99 everywhere in the little town of DuBois, PA.

What if they are there with thier family? What if it isn't because they are big, but because of some other physical ailment that has nothing to do with how big they are? Sorry, people that just assume because bigger people on a scooter doesn't belong in a theme park bugs me. They pay to get in also. Anyway, great photos, but no flying turns photos? I too, also want to get to this park. Sorry, I didn't mean to offend anybody I saw the same people all day, by themselves, so I assumed they were alone, but I didn't think about family. Again, sorry:( PS- I took some flying turns photos, but there were so many on the internet, that I didn't post them. Two (hopefully) awesome rides in one shot! The final lift, all the way into the station. From afar, it still looks great.

Hey Guys! Last monday I met up with my roommate from the Behemoth/Ravine Flyer 2 trip at knoebels to get to know each other and to ride some great rides. Though it rained, we had a great time. General thoughts follow: Phoenix in the third row is beyond awesome, and is now in my top 3 wooden coasters. Twister is a crazy mess of track, and is crazy fun! If you value feeling in your legs, do not ride looper. If you are so fat that you have to ride a scooter, you should not be at an amusement park! If you see an older guy in a knoebels uniform waiting in line for a coaster, talk to him. He's a great guy. Knoebels food is great, and will not break your wallet. Crew were ridding flying turns, but was not open yet. The flyers are still one of the best flats ever! Enough with the talking, lets get to some pictures! I leave you with my favorite picture, even with a tree in the shot. As soon as I took this picture, some crazy guy started to walk toward me, so I slowly walked away! Best go-kart course ever!!! Nothing here...move along... Hey, it's footers for a new coas....never-mind, they're just boxes. Now that is a real amusement park meal! Ahh, it cant be over already. I'm riding twister in the rain, twister in the rain... Not even the rain can stop the all powerful Twister! Are you driving a lemon? People descending into phoenix's dark and quite fun tunnel. All hail the almighty Phoenix! How's it hanging at the apple? I love the expressions on their faces! Where's superman when you need him? New for 08- Wipeout, and you can see how popular it is. Good to see I'm not the only one with this problem! Noted! Hey, we're here, and incase we forget where we are, this sign will help us out.

Theme Park Review Podcast?
ms13 replied to coasterboi's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'd love behind the scenes, but I think there should also be an equal amount of good old fashion TPR antics. First you show behind the scenes, then you show what effort results in in a pov, ect. Just think, a combination between the X2 video and the ghetto fair! Behind the scenes of a carnie! Sounds like an awesome time! -
The Mist- Holy Crap this was a great movie. We need more horror movies like this, and less like Prom Night. For once I actually got into the movie, and was rooting for/hating characters. Every actor does an awesome job in this movie. And that ending. I knew what was going to happen, but I still yelled at the screen in disbelief. I give it an awesome 9/10. BTW- If you get a chance to see the Black and White version, do! It was even better than the color version.
