  1. It looks really good, are you planning on putting up a download?
  2. You do know that's less than 1/2 hour a day, right?
  3. I actually gotta say that was pretty cool. It got disorienting as hell at some parts. Not exactly a coaster, but one of the more creative things done with NL.
  4. The problem is, the values vary a bit from person to person. I remember downloading one of BicoastalKids tracks about which he complained about an airtime hill only going down to +0.2 g. It got to -0.1 on my sim.
  5. Is it really that hard to spend an extra 5 seconds loading it to TPRs server?
  6. That was my first thought on Red Bull as well. Regardless I still prefer (any) Monster or Rockstar wildberry
  7. ^He has an nlPACK file. Not an nlTRACK file. .nltrack is the format that No Limits saves tracks in. .nlpack is a special file that allows the track, environment, and any 3D objects with the coaster to be saved into one file, making it easier to send tracks. To open .nlpack files, you need the NL Track Packager. Which can be downloaded (for free) at www.nolimitsdevcenter.net. go to the toolbox (Link is in the very top right corner) and scroll down. Download the packager and the nlpack file to your desktop, open the packager, file -> open package, select the package, and then follow the prompt that comes up. It saves all of the right files into the right places. Then you can ride the track right from there.
  8. Umm, as far as I know, that's not train spotting. No doubt there are people that like to do that, but Ive never met one. Train spotting (aka railfanning or foaming) is just going down to tracks to watch trains as they pass by. Some people just like to watch trains. Which is pretty much why people build model railroads, to watch (and operate) the trains.
  9. Sorry to double/necro post, but I'm trying to pull all the details together for my model railroad, (And now that I'm 15, it might be a bit easier to pull together funding ) and I wanted to see what you people thought of what I have. What I know is, I want to model 3' narrow gauge, with the feel of both Colorado (Denver and Rio Grande Western/Rio Grande Southern) and Alaska (White Pass & Yukon) narrow gauge. So far, i have a bit of a backstory for my railroad and I'm working on (yet another...) trackplan for the layout. Anyway, here is the backstory to the line: "The Whitehorse & Southern Railroad started life in 1921 as the Whitehorse & Delhi Railway, a predominantly a coal and ore hauling railroad, making use mostly of old 4-4-0 and 4-6-0 locomotives for power. These locomotive struggled on the steep mountain grades, sometimes requiring 3 locomotives to pull a ten-car train up the 4.2% ruling grade. The poor rail and ties on the railroad often failed under the trains and left the crew stranded in near-freezing temperatures until a work train arrived. The Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad, seeing potential in the line, bought it up and gave it a large grant of money to help improve line trackwork, including heavier gauge rail, and stronger made of Oak instead of Southern Yellow Pine, and fifteen new locomotives from Baldwin; these locomotives, designated C-19 by the D&RGW classification system, were dubbed A4-19 by the new Whitehorse and Southern Railroad. These locomotives were numbered 1-15. By 1931, the railroad had boomed, surviving the great depression, the line expanded its services to include general freight and passenger services. In this time the railroad had acquired 12 new locomotives, five A4-21 Class locomotives, numbered 16-20, which were comparable to the small fleet of D&RGW C-21’s, and seven A4A-28 Class locomotives from ALCo, numbered 21-27, these locomotives were nearly identical to the D&RGW K-28s differing only in the fact that they had 40” instead of 44” drivers. In 1932, the railroad bought its last line of locomotives; again, following in the footsteps of the D&RGW, the W&S bought five K-36 class locomotives, dubbed the A4A-36, numbers 28-32. These locomotives would be the largest on the line, and ran until the closing of the line in 1948. While most of the locomotives from the road were sold for scrap, the workers and officials of the lines were able to raise the funds to save four locomotives. While some vouched to preserve the entire A4A-36 line, it was agreed upon that one locomotive of each line be preserved. Today they reside in museums around the country, #19 at the Colorado Railroad Museum in Golden, CO, #30, at Steamtown USA, in Stranton, Pennsylvania, #21 at the Georgetown Loop Railroad, and #7 sees regular service among Denver and Rio Grande Western and Rio Grande Southern stock at Knott’s Berry Farm, in Buena Park, California."

  11. Just curious, what makes this Elissa-unfriendly?
  12. Once again, another legendary comment. You can't compare static and operable models. ZOMGZ Athearn bluebox F7B dummies run soooooo much better than Athearn Genesis F7As with DCC and Sound! [/train humor] Vekoma "Sorry, Matt, just had to!" Fan Boy
  13. I like the one currently on the front page. (Clean, No background, No dashes.)
  14. Ben-Wa balls?
  15. ^Don't forget Evergreen Styrene, Matt! http://www.evergreenscalemodels.com/ Also, to those who asked, Styrene is not foam, but the beady white stuff commonly called styrofoam technically is styrene. (Not true DOW Styrofoam I mean). Styrofoam is expanded polystyrene. Modeling styrene is not expanded and is more of a plastic than a packaging material.
  16. Only One No Life Spit it Out (Parts of) Liberate That's all I have to say.
  17. Nile - Cast Down the Heretic CAAAAAAAST DOOOOOOOOOOOOOWN THEEEEEEEEEEEEE HEEEEEERETIIIIIIC!!!
  18. ^ Needs to learn to use the shift key < Has the flu v Pleasures themselves to pictures of Chinese food.
  19. Aaron Carter's "Aaron's Party, Come Get It!" I would take a hammer to it, but my mom would freak. Also I went to an Aaron Carter concert when I was like 6 or 7 O.O Then 7 years later, after developing a hatred of that horrid music, I attended the first annual Mayhem Festival! Now I need to go this year so I have more good concerts than bad under my belt.
  20. BelgianGuy: I just got a chance to listen to your band, I thought it was OK, not entirely my type of music, but it was not bad. I just never really liked the whole Death Metal/Deathcore scene; except for Divine Heresy, they added a good Melodic/Groove metal touch to their music! Although, they really suck now since they kicked Tommy (Vocalist) out... He added a good touch with his clean vocals in Failed Creation and Savior Self. (You might want to go check out those 2 songs, they're great!) /ramble And to supplement "Her Ghost in the Fog" that the ghost posted, here's Born In a Burial Gown and Nymphetamine. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qhSe2Iwi74k
  21. HAH! You think -5*C (23*F) is cold! Yesterday it got down to 7*F (-14*C) with wind chills of 0*F (-18*C) AND it hit -12*F (-24*C) the other night.
  22. Black Metal Cartoon Network children's programming (its a helluvalot better than Nick Jr.) Watching Nicolas barker drum shirtless (Hey, he's a big guy, its amusing to watch his fat ripple plus hes just flat out awesome) Drumming on table edges with rulers...
  23. ^Its going to be terraformed. I'm holding off on the terrain until I finish the layout.
  24. From what I remember it was supposed to serve as a shelf for the weight of the train so it could disengage from the chain without putting excessive stress on it. Although now I believe they just speed up the chain when the train crests the hill to alleviate stress. But then again, I'm a half-asleep 14 year old, what do I know? EDIT: I was beat to the punch by ginzo.
