  1. I have a splinter stuck under my left index finger nail. And I have to wait a few days until it starts to eject naturally until I can get it with a pair of tweezers.
  2. You may want to check out Dimmu Borgir (DIM-oo bor-GEAR). They are a Symphonic Black Metal band and the stuff from their newest album (In Sorte Diaboli) is great! (I'm listening to the album right now actually!) You may also want to check out Cradle of Filth (Symphonic Black Metal/Extreme Metal) and Children of Bodom. (Melodic Death Metal/Power Metal--Much better than it sounds actually!)
  3. Very nice! I like how it had a bit of a Symphonic Black Metal sound to it. It sounds almost like something I'd expect to hear from Dimmu Borgir or Cradle of Filth's keyboardists. Keep on making music dude!
  4. Interesting, maybe a haunted mine type deal? As for the .3DS objects, I'm not sure, I don't usually do .3Ds objects, I prefer to build most scenery with supports. (although if I needed them, I might make glass panels as .3DS objects, I just hate texturing and exporting with SketchUp/Anim8or) And I don't really know how to make my own environments, that program just doesn't seem to work for me. (Although, if someone wants to make one for me, that would be fine.)
  5. OK, I'm having a problem with my NLDC account, I can create projects, but when I edit them and go to save I get an error message. 'Sorry, this project does not exist.' Is anyone else getting this problem or is it just me?
  6. ^Thanks! And I will be putting up a video once it is done.
  7. YES! Yes I am! *dances like Michael Jackson*
  8. Well, I've done a little bit of work, (though I haven't changed the colors yet) and I have the first inversion (a corkscrew) and the 'real' first drop. Which is 150 feet tall and gets the train going at 75 mph. It must be intense to be on a floorless coaster going that fast! Anyway, picture time! I love how I was able to run the first drop right under the corkscrew. (It might not look like it, but this part DOES pass the tunnel test!) "Oh god, are we gonna go down THAT?" "Yep..." Progress thus far.
  9. That is part of Loefets track shaping .3Ds objects, you place them in the editor, and rotate/scale them to your needs and build around them. It makes it much easier to build things like perfect circles, parabolic hills, etc with them if you don't want to use tools (which I am not for this coaster, it is going to be all hand built, heartlined, and smoothed). If you do a quick search for "Circle Builders" you should be able to find the thread. EDIT:^Thanks for the kind words, Matt!
  10. Ok, well for some reason NLDC isn't recognizing any of my projects as existing when I try to edit them, so for now, I don't have a link to an NLDC page, but I do have pics and stats posted here. This WOULD be my NLDC description, but since I can't edit my projects as of now I'll just post it here so I don't loose it. What makes this coaster so unique? Probably the fact that it will be a floorless coaster that focuses as much on speed and airtime as inversions and forces that winds down and around a steep mountain. Stats: Highest point: ~226-227ft Elevation change: ~210ft Length: TBD Trains: Number of trains TBD, probably 3 or 4, trains are 7 cars long and seat 4 abreast for a total of 28 riders per train. Maximum speed: 75mph Ok, now for a more post-appropriate description: I've been toying with the idea of a terrain coaster for a while, but have never really attempted it in NL because all of my projects seemed to be a failure to me in some stupid way. But, since I have entered engineering as my permanent shop in school, when we were discussing the problem solving steps, at one point my teacher said "If your solution doesn't work, it is NOT a total failure, the only total failure is something you walk away from." Which made something click in my head and made me want to go back to NL, so I went home that day, and started designing a small X Car coaster, and found that I can actually put out a decent product if I take a little bit more time. I have since become stuck with an ending to the coaster, and figured that I might as well start a new, larger project while I think about endings for the X Car. And after a bit of thought I settled on this idea. But, anyway, enough rambling, time for pictures! As of now, I only have the prelift and lift hill, but I will try (key word here!) to update the project every 1-3 days until its done. Right out of the station, you have a nice little 15-ish foot drop. (Colors are temporary) Then over a small bunny hill (still needs a little work to get a bit of floater air) and into the turn entering the lift Going up! Almost there... Uh oh... Comments and Criticism greatly appreciated! Also, if you would like, names and theme suggestions would also help, since I don't have much of a theme down aside from the whole mountainside thing.
  11. Oh god. PLEASE no ABBA! I've been traumatized ever since my aunt forced me to watch Mama Mia!
  12. ^Hah! Thanks, also Nope. I too am a metal loving christian!
  13. Well, Matt, we both know that we have COMPLETELY different music tastes. I listen to a lot of Death, Speed, Power, and Black metal where songs DO go into higher tempos. Now I'm not saying single bass is lame or anything, because it is in no way lame. Some bands use it, most don't. I, personally, like the way it sounds.
  14. At a tempo of 200 BPM? (That would be 800 notes per minute for non-drumming nerds) Seriously, I'm all for using one pedal when you can, (or when you're playing blast beats) but at higher tempos you cant kick that fast with one foot unless you're George Kollias, Derek Roddy, or Hellhammer. Plus playing double bass is just plain fun! Also, I agree for the drum expansion, but it probably won't happen because most people don't know the difference between a Hi Hat, Crash, and Ride cymbal. Are you kidding me?!?! No one, and I mean no one would be able to beat the first song. The only person who could 5-Star any song would be Joey Jordison himself. I'd love to play the guitar cause Mick and James make it fun to play, but Joey makes it torcher. It would be just as bad if they made a Guitar Hero: DragonForce. --Chris LMAO. At least no one is asking for a Guitar Hero: Nile, or Guitar Hero; Dimmu Borgir. THAT would be torture. DB's drummer (Hellhammer) does 16th notes at 292 BPM (1,168 (!!!) notes per minute) on "The Chosen Legacy" and Nile's (George Kollias) does 16ths at 256 BPM (1,024 [yes, these values ARE correct!] notes per minute) on "Cast Down the Heretic"
  15. I know. Finally they figure out that you need a double bass setting for metal songs. Now lets see a Guitar Hero: Slipknot with an Expert+ mode!
  16. Dimmu Borgir - The Invaluable Darkness
  17. Nile - The Essential Salts
  18. I'm watching it now, it kind of freaked me out at 4:57 when he went "Jacob, you are..." consdering Jacob is my name.
  19. I thought the band was okay, but I have to say for your project video, the bass should have been brought way down and the guitar way up. (and I usually think bass needs to be brought up for most songs!) The vocals I'm not totally keen on, but since they are (apparently) a Death Metal band its something that is expected.
  20. Just saying, don't forget to add me to the list. (You replied to my post earlier and never added me.)
  21. I'll give it a shot. Also, as a judge, shouldn't you NOT participate in the competition?
  22. ^^He probably made the station on his own, but the drop tower and rotovator/turkish twist are CS ParkPack objects And I would think this is a hyper coaster by looking at the length, but I first thought it was a Rocket Coaster because of the 5 car trains. (If this is a hyper you may want to lengthen the trains to somewhere between 7 and 9 cars, Matt)
  23. I was freaking speechless when I read this. Hell, I'm still not sure what to say. Apparently this man was so distraught over he and his wife's divorce he decided to try and kill a good portion of her family at a Christmas party
  24. Just color the track that you don't want the AHG to effect black.
  25. How odd that this comes up a few days after I watched a show about women who did not know they were pregnant... But yes, this is by far not the first time something like this has happened. I just hope the child is okay, he/she received no neo-natal care, her mother probably drank like the pigs from Animal Farm,* considering she worked at a bar, AND she went into labor while on a Roller Coaster. *Thats a hyperbole, I'm NOT saying she is an alcoholic or excessive drinker
