  1. That makes sense. Which also makes it surprising under the new regime. Do they require activation at home park? Didn't look far enough to find out.
  2. St Louis still had napkins and utensils out for customers yesterday.
  3. Holiwood Nights is back. Lines today were short all day. ERT was a 2 or 3 train wait on Voyage, and walk on for the others. Day 1 I got 5 or 6 on Raven and Legend. Roughly 20 laps on the Voyage with over half at night in the dark trimless. Such a good time today.
  4. No, I really don't think that was the case. Seems at least a couple emmployees were in the park with a stack handing them out to anyone. Breakers had stacks as well. Good any night of the event Ive also heard Costermania was an absolute shit show.
  5. Employees were literally giving away Wild Frontier tickets in the park tonight. Sales must be stellar!
  6. New parking setup at Dollywood is seriously a head scratcher. Arrive early and it's not a problem. Hope it doesn't rain because you'll get very wet walking to the tram station. Seems strange they moved it so far out. Otherwise, park was dead today. Longest wait was maybe 15 minutes on Firechaser. LR was a 10 min wait most of the day and was running good. Drop Line is still closed but now has seatbelts installed.
  7. Pretty sure they use a non-3D video now and it seems to be less blurry than the old 3D stuff (or they just turned off the 3D setting). I don't really see anyone complaining about it. Most people seem to prefer it without the 3D.
  8. Many Six Flags parks have removed the 3D from Justice League this year. People seem to prefer it without.
  9. Lighting Run is the worst line and slowest loading. I'd start with LR myself. It's rare people wander all the way to Storm Chaser. Lines are never long back there. Same for KY Flyer.
  10. Just an FYI, but I didn't know BGW had a coaster tour on Wed/Sat. $80 to see some control rooms and maintenance sheds. You also get to see the drop track in action and stand near it.
  11. Sometimes less than 30 min. More along the lines of a weekday or Sunday at other parks. But, it's also really hard to tell. These are the times I've seen the last couple of years on FB groups folks post about how empty and great the park was that day.
  12. CP is traditionally fairly quiet the 2 weekends leading up to their Halloween event. During the week mid/late June should be a bit quieter. Groups are heavy end of May and first part of June as schools end.
  13. I would get up early, drive to KK and have a great day. Then, decide if you need more time there. If so, you can split between the parks since you gain the hour you spend driving between them. Then, decide again if you need another day at HW before driving back home.
  14. https://www.visitkingsisland.com/blog/2022/may/brady-bunch-actor-barry-williams-to-narrate-the-story-of-kings-islands-first-50-years-during-parks-brand-new-nighttime-finale "The 14-minute show is four times longer than Kings Island’s traditional evening finale with the immersive experience featuring fireworks, 200 synchronized drones, fire bursts, laser projections on International Street and an all-new song created just for the celebration."
  15. I'll be there. They seem to indicate it would be limited to 500 or so this year. Lines for Voyage last couple of HWNs was fairly long so hopefully it's quicker this year. Also walking all the way back on Voyage to the spaghetti bowl again this year. Obv a lot of hate for the lottery, so no telling how they handle it next year. It's just too popular right now. They also made it 2 days with no option of only Fri night and Sat. Made the price this year $125 which is a big higher than before, too.
  16. It's June 3 weekend. Had to enter and get selected in a lottery earlier this year.
  17. Perhaps a little roof on the top like Lighting Rod is the answer. Also agree that the show Yellowjackets is good stuff.
  18. The Boofet with early access to Ghostrider was excellent. I did Scary Farm in 2019 and HHN (Orlando) last year. Wife and I both enjoyed Scary Farm better. The puppet show is excellent and not something I thought I'd enjoy. The Hanging, if it returns, was pretty cool even if I didn't know half the jokes. I'm hoping to make the last day of Scary Farm this year and then spend the next day or two at Knotts and MM. In 2019, the were absolutely dead both days. Sat on Xcelerator for 7 or 8 laps without leaving the station.
  19. Park is going to building a new RMC single rail currently set to open March 30, 2024.
  20. Had no idea they were doing that. Beats my old homecoming dances for sure. Good use of the space.
