  1. Screamscape is suggesting several SF parks will have HITP cut next year. If they aren't making money on the event, cancel it or reimagine it.
  2. No complaints about my visit on Wed Dec 8. Probably helps that no one else was there. Used the $10 QQ I purchased to skip a couple 10 min lines. Rest of the time everything was a walkon, even Cobra. Cobra and Fury also ran pretty much all day without down time.
  3. Is that confirmed? I was at the event last year. I got the feeling Rodeo would be the first event with ert on it from what I heard. But, speakers weren't that great in the pavilion.
  4. I really wish they were doing this longer. OR....can someone whisper to Jeffrey this would be great for Coaster Rodeo? I hope we see these pop up more places. I'd love to give it a try. Sky Coasters are tons of fun. The new Fun Spot lay down swings were interesting enough. I'm all for it.
  5. Lockers are not required for any rides. The ride ops will often take your stuff and put it away for you while you buckle up.
  6. One of Wicked Twister's spikes is now gone.
  7. Lightning Rod started running 2 train ops again today.
  8. Also, a bit more perspective on Dollywood. We had some severe weather here. I'm talking trees down, back roads blocked because of damage, etc. They have trouble staffing the park without many of their employees blocked at home because they live in rural areas. In addition to opening later, they also warned staffing would be worse than normal and many things would be closed. And I realize it's anecdotal, but I went to HHN in Orlando this year. The day we went they were calling for severe weather and had Tornado watches in effect. Even locals were talking about how it wasn't going to be typical Florida rain on this day. It ended up raining for about 20 minutes around 5pm and that's it. Place was empty until the rain passed. Crowds were back to normal by 8 or so. I think it's fine they took a chance and opened. People can make their own decisions.
  9. I think it's a bit crazy how they flipped on reservations, especially considering it's the opposite at SDC. You can make reservations but they don't matter and you will have to wait when they hit cap even with them.
  10. Manta paint looks good but still a lot to go. Good day at the park today.
  11. 246 foot hyper coaster incoming for the 23/24 season. Word is the model has inversions, too.
  12. Interesting. Been trying to get that credit for a few years now. Not sure that brings a bunch of people to the park but better than nothing?
  13. It's running. It's just goes down now and again like every other coaster. Last month and most of this season have been fine.
  14. That's swiss cheese. Seems to confirm a new giga from everyone's favorite swiss designers.
  15. I can agree with the last comments on Mindbender. Trims were scaled back a good amount today versus a month ago and it was running better. Park was fairly dead today. Beautiful day, low 70s. Took some extended family that's never been before and we all had a good time. Front row of one of TC's trains is broken and it's locked down. I'd say given their track record, it stays broken until the off season.
  16. Lots of The Beast retracking going on now days. Part of the big helix is completely missing. First drop is basically gone at the moment. Good to see them putting some work in. Some good pics on reddit.
  17. Can you elaborate on this a bit? Remember any prices? Do it at the park or online member portal? Thx.
  18. Yes. Nationwide for entry and parking. San Antonio typically has the cheapest prices. Active upon purchase.
  19. Looks like new passes are everywhere now. $60 (at SFoG) gets you all parks with parking for their BF sale. SFoG is in the cheaper tier for passes so prob $10+ more at some parks.
  20. I've been told Dollywood is removing the tunnel. Sad to see a piece of history like that go. I remember running through there 30-40 years ago. Usually a good way to escape the heat for a second, too. Oh well.
  21. Another interesting fact about this new RMC: it's the first RMC not designed by Alan Schilke. Seems to be headed up by Joe Draves.
  22. Looks like a fun ride. Can't wait to give it a try next summer.
  23. Typically they do not. They may call it a holiday sale but it will be the same price you saw the day before.
