  1. I love how the second part of that URL just says entertainment. Like, I know that because the article is about Disneyland it falls under that category, but the story is so stupidly funny that it's accurate
  2. ^ and ^^ While the driving distances are far, my family has friends from North Carolina who mention BGW, KD, and CW whenever a theme park topic comes up. While a closer one would be nice, I think a lot of NC residents are aware of a lot of the nearby parks. Hell, you even have Pigeon Forge not too terribly far away!
  3. What is happening in this thread... I don't know whether to watch from a distance and quietly laugh or run away in fear
  4. Wow, thanks for the read! I'm super excited to see this whole project unfold At this point in time, the park has the only Herschell Mad Mouse left in the world (R.I.P. the one at Joyland) and the only permanent installation of a Chance Toboggan, so there are some super rare coaster types here! I hope they stay at the park for a long time.
  5. ^ Man I would love nothing more right now than to have it open by when I visit in March And it's starting to look more likely, they're making fast progress!
  6. Out of boredom, I was looking for used coasters and stuff like that, and I happened to come across this https://www.usedrides.com/rides/208851 It looks like a Top Fun Looper is up for sale, and the photos are of Rainier Rush. Could Washington State Fair be trying to get rid of this infamous ride?
  7. This is one of the coolest things I've seen! If you're looking for ideas for a great, small woodie, you should build a wooden Wild Mouse. Many enthusiasts sorely miss the Blackpool Wild Mouse, so the park would get a lot of attention. Just an idea.
  8. Amazing report so far! I'm excited to see it unfold
  9. We have about 8-10 inches on the ground here in Illinois, and on Wednesday, the high is -11. So not great.
  10. Black Skinhead - Drake I admit to being a fan of some rap music, and this is a pretty good one.
  11. I don't know if this has been posted yet, but there was a recent Goldbergs episode that completely focused on a school trip to Hersheypark. The two main characters rode Sooperdooperlooper as their first coaster (the show takes place in the 80s) and the reactions are pretty hilarious!
  12. Fantastic photos! Six Flags Fiesta Texas has always been reeeally high on my US bucket list for parks
  13. ^ Kings Island scrapped Firehawk... I guess those two B&Ms and two world-class woodies aren't enough to warrant going. No one should go to Ohio anymore at all!
  14. My school cancelled for tomorrow, due to 8-10 inches of predicted snowfall in Illinois!
  15. What an intriguing-looking ride! I'm excited to see some of the theming, especially in the queue line
  16. I think Nighthawk’s scrapping would be a much more careful process considering it is surrounded by water and many other rides, whereas Firehawk is practically in a field. Was Stealth's removal careful too? I mean, I assume it was because it was relocated and completely enclosed by other rides at CGA (well, PGA at the time) but was it a quick process, does anyone know?
  17. My mistake... I saw Skara Sommerland and thought S was the previous letter, and accidentally disregarded that the coaster itself started with T.
  18. Top Thrill Dragster (my photo. It's not great, but the only other photo I have of it is an empty train because of a break down)
  19. Does this even belong in Roller Coaster Games and Models?
  20. ^ My opinion on the ride exactly. I never like seeing rides get destroyed like that, but of course, with the possibility of that giga in mind, I'm intrigued for the future
  21. Can't figure out how to copy the link to a tweet, but it's taking some real nice shape! (Tigris, that is)
  22. Granted, but it's built at a cheap park and breaks down the day you visit. I wish for some nice cheddar croutons.
  23. If you want my two cents, stay at the Hilton Anaheim. I stayed at the Hilton Anaheim when I visited in June 2017 and it was a fantastic hotel. Not too pricy, especially for it's high quality, and the hotel itself is not only a short walk from the park itself, but the rooms facing the park give you fantastic views of all the rides and the park as a whole, and as a nerdy side bonus because I couldn't visit, I actually got some decent views of Knott's Berry Farm.
