ChrisHanKwansivus Gift Exchange 2012!
Guy T. Koepp replied to Brandy524's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Just to clarify, When you give the gift, you are Santa. When you receive the gift, you are a Santee? Right? Or would you say you've been Santaed. Ooooooo! How about Santatized! that's got a nice ring to it. -
^What is Flahback? Is this one I missed? I thought I had all the credits at this park. And all you people that mentioned Viper as a ride that should be removed. HOW DARE YOU! Vipey is the one Arrow looper in this country that is actually still in awesome condition. If anything, it would be the last multilooper to go. Besides, Magic Mountain has tons of room to add 20+ more coasters before they need to clear another to make room.

Hey Shane. Quick question here. As far as management is concerned, do you take into account what the other park opening across the valley will be putting in as far as attractions go? I ask this, as it seems that your team seems to be consciously trying to differ yourselves from them. Which would make sense to me, as you are both trying to capture the same market. However, you mentioned a while back that you came in on this deal after some, if not all, of the attractions were already planned out. Did your partners already know what "the other guys" were putting in and changed their plan already, or are you watching what they plan and countering, or +ing up your attractions to compete? Or, is it pure coincidence that your park is honestly shaping up to look infinitely better, infinitely nicer, and infinitely more fun. I'm just thinking out loud here Shane, and wanted to get your input as the operator. If you can't talk about these things, I totally understand. I know you can't just be throwing your marketing strategy onto the internet tubes for all to see. Just thought I would pick your brain. Regardless, I'm looking forward to seeing your project rise from the desert. It is looking beautiful so far.

Gröna Lund Discussion Thread

IMHO and I stress the O. This looks like something they would do. If not now then in the future. And let's face facts, they have shoe horned much bigger rides into much smaller places. If there is any park in the world that could define optimization of space, it would be Grona Lund. Possibly Blackpool. Or Magic Mountain. Cause everyone keeps talking about how they're always running out of space. -

If it were me, and it wasn't an item that you can only get there. I would stick with, "you all messed up." Not my problem. Oh. You F-up and you want me to eat the cost? And it's now gonna be shipped late. Sorry. I'll get it from someone who believes in customer service. Good bye. -
^I have been holding my tongue regarding this ride. But you just summed up exactly how I feel about it. Is it gonna stop me from getting a 6F season pass? No. Am I gonna go ride it? Yes. It is right along the lines of what I expected them to build. I am neither ecstatic or upset about this ride. So... ...win, win for 6F?

This is one of those posts that really makes no sense to me. (I'm not a moderator or anything so, feel free to delete it at will, as I am just spit balling here.) With that said, I respect your preference for "In the Raw." But then you had to go and subtitle your statement with a slightly biased jab. Is there any reason you couldn't have said, "I much prefer natural sounds over the music video style of the CE videos." This is a non-judgemental, non-pointed statement. Your statement sounds like you just had to say something about a music selection that you didn't exactly care for. Great. You didn't like the music. So be it. Does that really make it hideous? Not necessarily. What is hideous to one is Beethoven to another. As innocent as your statement probably was, did you take a moment to read how it sounds, not to mention who you were saying it to. (Robb Alvey, the owner of this site, and the producer of all these videos.) You may have well have said that he has hideous taste in music. Who really does this help? No one. Now again, I'm sure you didn't intend it to sound that way. But look at it from someone else's point of view and suddenly it does. Look, we're all in this internet thingy together. Can we all try to pay attention to what we are saying in words and how they will be interpreted by everyone that reads them. I personally love the music choices. They are fun, bouncy, and IMHO convey the tone and feel of a TPR trip. The Coaster Expedition videos are the reason I wanted to meet, become friends with, and go on trips with Robb & Elissa. I apologize if I pissed anyone off with that rant. That was not my intent. I gots nothin' but love and good times for er'body. And I'm just gonna shut up right now as I have probably already hung myself. Guy "There's 13 coils in a real hangman's noose, right? Good. I'll be in my closet for the rest of my life." Koepp

Photo TR: A Quick Trip to Brazil!
Guy T. Koepp replied to jray21's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
That's kinda what I thought. The weird thing was that I never saw it anywhere else the entire 10 days I was there. It was only at this place, it was a brand new building, and a very expensive restaurant in Brazil! Maybe the rich in Brazil just have servants to wipe for them so they don't know how to and have to use a sprayer when they aren't around? This would be my best guess. I know I never pass up a chance to have my ass drizzled with warm water then cleaned out by my servants. -

This looks awesome! Another reason for me to start saving for Scandi 2014. Do we know if this is going to be a magnetic launch type system or tire driven like Jet Rescue? -

I have a friend from Sao Paulo in LA. He says that the reason for the sprayer and little side cannister along with the toilets is because the plumbing in most buildings is pretty sub standard. You just give a quick spray and wipe with a small amount of paper and then throw the paper in the cannister. He remembered when he first moved to America how freaked out he was that we flushed our toilet paper down the drain. He thought he was in heaven that our toilets didn't clog. Anyhooooo! Awesome TR Joey. -
How have I missed 124 pages of this awesome goodness! I've just spent the last 5 days reading this thread completely. 25 a day. And can I just say, I am dying to get back on board a RCCL. Between getting their travel planner in the mail, and the posibility of unlimited daily drink packages! A TPR cruise needs to happen. Does anyone know if you can purchase it by the day, or do you do a blanket for the entire trip. Cause I generally like to take a day off between drunk days. I voted for A CE vid as there hasn't been one in quite a while. And they are very entertaining and fun to watch. I love the RCitR series, but the CE are near and dear to my heart as I enjoy seeing the people as much as the rides. Please tell me you will release on Blu Ray. CE in HD would be H, A, W, T! Where can I pre order?
