^^There were groundsworkers there all day working on stuff. I imagine the whole area will look very different in only a matter of weeks. ^Not at all Jow. As empty as the park was, it was mostly kids that were pulling their parents begrudgingly onto the ride. I think the angle of descent really helps make this a much more family friendly ride. All I can say is that I enjoyed it, and my kids are salivating over the chance to go on it in as soon as possible. -

^The lift is probably the most intimidating part of the ride. You really feel exposed. IMHO I loved Pilgrunge. It is a super fun water ride. They desprately need play and spray water cannons, which I'm told they are adding this week. Woo Hoo! If'n ya ain't wet yet! Ya will be! Excellent TR Erik! I had an awesome time with you guys over the weekend. I'm so glad I could make it. Tell tha tall kid I said Hi! Guy "Oh my god I look ultra mo in that first picture!" Koepp -
Great pictures JZ! It was a pleasure meeting you and hanging out at your home park! I had a great time at KI this weekend. Perhaps it was the newness of never being there before, but I really liked the place a lot. A fun selection of rides and coasters, with one distinct high point, a fun rampage through the woods at night, and a couple of... ...ummmmm... ...well, shall we say less than high points. 1st and foremost. The highpoint. Yeah! Diamondback is a very nice coaster. It will probably enter my top 10. Possibly my top 5. Loads of airtime, and a different ride throughout the train. Super fun ride during the day. Awesome ride at night. Also, huge props to the crew. They pump people through this thing. Seriously, the longest wait we had was a 2/3rds full que at closing on Saturday and only a thirty minute wait. This thing eats people for lunch! Just fantastic! Come to think of it, all ride operations and park employees were doing a stellar job. So kudos and all that stuff for the valiant effort! Moving on! The fun rampage! While I'm sure Beast in it's heyday was an awesome coaster, for me in modern day. Meh, it was fun. The back is quite brutal on the wheel seat, and it is horribly trimmed to hell. Not the worst wood on the planet (cough... ...Texas Rattler... ...cough!), just not great. However, a night ride in the middle is exciting, and real cool through the woods. I'm not bagging, I totally sympathize with you Beast lovers out there, as I often hold Colossus in such high regard because I was one of the fortunate few to ride it in it's heyday. So I get it, and I understand your love. But my rides on it were not amazing, just fun. However, I will give it this. It is the best wood in the park, and that's saying alot for a coaster that is 30 years old in a park with 5 wooden coasters. But I digress, on to the less than high points. Son of Bitc... ...er... ...Beast. Is craptastic! It's a novelty that has lost it's novelty. It's forceless, uninspired, jackhammering fun. It's only redeeming value is to get off it and question why God! Why? It's not the worst wood on the planet (cough... ...Texas Rattler... ...cough!) It probably won't crack the 50% mark as far as my wood coaster count goes. However, watching that group of kids get ejected from the park for line jumping did ease the pain. Will I ride it again? Sure. I don't have to which is nice. Oh! and if the line is short. And now Steaming bag of Firecrap! My very first Vekoma Flyer! How excited I was to be able to compare this to the B&M flyers I have been on. With no fanfare I will make this bold statement! This ride is so bad that if I never ride a Vekoma flyer again I won't shed a tear. Will I ride another? Maybe? But no more than a 2 train wait with a dual station. I just don't have the patience to wait for this kind of beating. At least in my martial arts class, I can punch back. Got tha credit! Done with em'! Those were the high and low points as far as rides go. Honestly, I love the coaster riding and stuff, but I really go to spend time with friends and family. It was great to spend the day with James, Erik, Chuck, Tall dude who I can't remember your name, and PKJZ. Erik, Chuck, Tall Dude, as always it was a blast hangin' wit ya'll! I can't wait to get together and do it all over again. James & PKJZ, thank you for being the gracious hosts and showing us around your park! I had a blast, and I look forward to doing it again soon! Peace! Guy "And a great time was had by all!" Koepp

^Oh I figured as much. Those things are gravy makers! A park would be stupid to not invest in them. They probably pay for themselves in a matter of days. I know in my lifetime I've pumped hundreds of dollars into the little monsters. Guy "Cause nothing says love more than soaking the last dry person in one of the boats. : " Koepp -

Mmmmmmmmmmmm! Mesa Grill! How I miss you so. My answer to the Falafel question is most likely not. I think she might try it. Only problem is, when she finally found something she would eat, it might not be on the menu the next time she visited. She likes consistency. Mesa grill is anything but that. I rode this thing yesterday. (Pictures coming.) I can tell you it is a thrilling fun family ride. And you will get soaked. Especially in tha front seat! The spray you get going down the hill will totaly drench your upper half. The wave at the end will cover the rest. A poncho was the best investment I made this day! Guy "They need pay and spray water cannons though." Koepp -
Fixed!

Rode Diamondback 4 times today. Front, middle and back. All incredible rides and distinctly different. Awesome coaster! Easily in my top 10. All in all, it was a great day! I was able to whore the whole park in a little under 4 hours. that includes the Little Bill coaster! Ask James Dillman. It was hilarious! Thanks for showing me around the park James and PKIjizzman. (Zach) I had an awesome time. I'm looking forward to tomorrow. Guy "All I need is the Racer Blue track." Koepp -

I say Yes Falafel would indeed eat here. Not because of this particular dish. But because of just about anything else on the menu. Hell, I think Elissa would even eat here. I even think they have a plain spagetti and peeled hot dog menu item. -

It looks like a very nice interesting new park. However, it seems very spread out. Hopefully it does well enough to start to fill in some of those very sparse areas. Great pictures Hanno. If the heat was getting to you, it wasn't noticeable in tha pics. -

Mmmmmmmm cool refreshing Coke. You know, science has proven that sodas do not quench your thirst. But, the fizzy bubbles will power a lift hill. Looks like you all are having an awesome time! Jesus never served me lunch. But he did mow my lawn every Wednesday back when I lived in LA. But, I had to pay him $75 a month to do it. I like to think he was taking that $75, multiplying it, and then feeding thousands of people with it. Guy "It makes me feel better about myself knowing my $75 is feeding thousands." Koepp -

New Vekoma Flyer in China 2008
Guy T. Koepp replied to speedracer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^Well played young man. Well played! Seriously though. If they put a train the size of a B&M flyer on this track. The lead car would be arriving at the station just as the tail car was leaving it. I still think it looks uninspiring.
