I'm taking a semester or two off from the university to go to community college. That way I pay less and can get my math out of the way...since I've failed Calc III. This semester is to make up for bad grades in the past. So now I have: Calculus II (Which is Calc II and III at the university) US History I (Retake, did poorly due to overloading myself) Vector Statics (Retake) Economics - Micro

Being a roller coaster engineer would be like being a mechanical, structural, or electrical engineer. I don't imagine it would be much different, besides the fact that it's much harder to be a roller coaster engineer over a more generalize industry. I'm an engineering intern in the film industry, initially interested in roller coasters but I later found my interest was in engineering altogether. You probably want to look into what it takes to be an engineer...decide what you like in engineering and take appropriate classes like physics and math. Get hands on with maintenance too...even if it's just fixing your car. You really must love engineering, not just coasters.

I'm staying open minded until election day. I feel like I will have a better decision on my hands if I follow both candidates equally, tally the pros and cons before I vote and make my decision in November. To make my decision now, IMO, will hinder my vote. I may like Obama now, but later on I may like McCain.

I know I've seen a few news casters interview citizens about Obama after he finished a speech. A few of them didn't even consider him due to his name. So I wouldn't put it past some people.

Wow, dragsterfan420 that was a lot of typing and I almost skipped over it and ignored your rant. But being that this is my first election that I will partake in I decided to read your post... I'm not going to argue for or against either candidate right now since I don't have enough knowledge on either one. But I would like to say this...single minded rants much like yours really make me sad. I hate to see people offer up "dirt" on the other candidate while they never offer what their candidate will do. Election time should bring upon civil debates, not slanted opinions fed to others as "fact". After reading your post I don't believe that is the 100% truth. It contains information that you have interpreted and regurgitated and I'm sure your sources are regurgitated. It's hard to come by truth in today's society. Now I would gladly research both candidates and offer an opinion to this debate, but if people are going be single minded and rude then this thread will not be alive much longer. Just thought I would point out... Change does not mean "new". the Obama campaign hasn't said that they will offer the country new policies, just a fresh change from the Bush administration. So what if the policies are old. If they work for the current situation then so be it. As for this quote, "There is nothing new about his (and the rest of the Democrats) policies.", you can't generalize that all Democrat policies are old. And once again, it doesn't help your argument to be single minded. Offer up what the Republicans have that's better than the Democrats. Neither party is perfect. Anyways, that's all for now. I'd like to learn more though and look forward to everyone's thoughts.

Awe man, what am I supposed to do now. I wanted to flame. In all seriousness I don't think the ride looks half bad. I feel that the only people complaining are those that took the hints and clues too far and were let down by expectations that would never have been met.

Yay, I get my car back today. The mechanic is willing to take $100 off the final price if I pay cash. The grand total is just over $500, not too bad considering I left that car there for 5 days, had the transmission serviced and my main seal replaced. My car should run much better now, I hope.

Not to most teens who have their parent's pay the phone bill as they rack up the minutes and texts like it doesn't matter. No, most do not think of the charges and consequences. I've heard of a few people that talked on the phone or text while over seas and they had to pay a few hundred to a few thousand dollars...same idea.

For all those saying Space Mountain at DLR is their favorite Vekoma, it's no longer a Vekoma. Design and manufactured by WDI and AMEC Dynamic Structures. And if I recall it was never a Vekoma...but I'm not sure on that. As for my favorite, I don't really have one. They just don't amuse me. I guess I would go with a Roller Skater or Gadget's Go Coaster at DLR.

Just wait, it gets even better... Took my car in before work and had to figure out the Burbank bus system to get to Universal Studios. Thought I had to take 2 busses and a train but there is a magic bus not listed online...that goes directly to Universal City! Thanks a lot. Anyways, the mechanic says he's surprised my car hasn't caught fire. Apparently I've leaked about 3 quarts of oil and I'm lucky it didn't get on the catalytic converter or my car would be toast. He can't get to fixing it until next week but I'm advised not to drive it...just leave it there. Just to get to the main crankshaft seal he wants $570 in labor, then $10 in parts and finally another few hundred for putting it together and storing my car... HELL NO! My dad is looking at doing it ourselves this weekend...I hope so. I don't have that sort of money.

So I'm biting the bullet and taking it in... I knew that when I got off the freeway after work to grab some food and noticed my car in a cloud of smoke as I stopped that it was time to take it in. I've been avoiding it to save money from the last repair ($900 for an extensive service and to repair my manifold) but the mechanic advised me that it wasn't an important fix as long as I had oil in the car. When I called him today he yelled at me and claimed I should have done it immediately, as if I had money. Here's to hoping I don't get raped up the butt for this...
