I don't recall the Terminator future being shiny. Yes there are machines but it is set in a post-apocalyptic world of death and destruction. The rough and out of control feel of a woodie seems a perfect fit to me...

Obviously you can't please everyone, but I didn't expect to see a laundry list of complaints just hours after the coaster was announced... Seems like the #1 complaint is the terminator theme and we've known about it for how long? As if all this complaining is going to magically make the theme disappear.

DBru is too worried about the world ending in 2012...he can't keep track of present events like the kraken incident. Duh.

He was talking about The Simpsons Ride and X2... While the Orange Stinger revamp seems underwhelming, I believe making it a part of the pier will be great. The orange theme was quite lame.

Shouldn't that be Southwest? True, but I think that are locating it based upon the park entrance, looking into the park. Anyways, the coaster looks good and I look forward to SFMM having it's very own Kentucky Rumbler...I loved that coaster and hope terminator will be no different.

I think you can blame it on a crappy maintenance program more than the wood. The GCI guys know how to compensate for wood deformation, it's up to the park to hire skilled carpenters to maintain the coaster.

Are the all caps lock posts really necessary? I don't think any other ride has gone backwards.

Throwing up has always freaked me out. I just get the feeling that I will choke or suffocate and I don't do well with stomach pains as it is. I also fear being surrounded by fire...I feel that is one of the worst ways to die.

I'm usually busy so I don't have time to follow a series. And I'm not a fan of over hyped shows so I will never watch Heroes or Lost...I've tried and it wasn't entertaining. I like shows that I can watch without needing to see the previous episode or season. I like South Park the most and watch it regularly.

Maglev trains can't take the sudden curves that you find on a roller coaster. That, and a hefty price tag, will make sure we won't be seeing a Maglev coaster anytime soon.

I don't see the problem with that. Why staff a ride if it won't be busy until later in the day? Though, and hour after park opening seems a bit harsh...maybe 30 minutes after would be better.

I don't care for the sliding. It seems like a waste of time and energy for a scare. It requires too much room too. I prefer chainsaws...
