  1. I'm doing a little pre-show before I work my yard haunt. I chase one of my friends with a chainsaw...hence I am dressed up as Leatherface. As I chase him I interact with the crowd. I'll try to find som pics from last year, and this year we will have lots of pics and a video.
  2. I'm getting tired of rooming with an Ex-Tatsu Crew Member whom is uber obsessed with World of Warcraft, YouTube, the Game Show Network (GSN), and his MySpace. I think I might kill him soon.
  3. They were meh...to me they feel rushed and much too short. I didn't get scared, but I didn't expect to, I never do. But I did expect to be startled at least once. I can remember everything from last year...where every person hides and such. It sure doesn't help that the most startling thing they do is shake their dried beans noise can. But, on that note I enjoyed the night. I didn't wait for a single maze thanks to the Fright Passes and the atmosphere is awesome. I liked seeing SFMM putting some effort into changing their look...cuz I'm so bored of their normal day after going 20 some times last year. Entertainment really tries hard to pull this event off, but unfortunately that is under the rein of SF. Hopefully the future holds a better event. Plus, I went to the park with Jahan...feel sorry for me.
  4. Probably the engineering aspect...in combination with the feelings you experience while riding them.
  5. Its seems like everyone is applying their goal/dream of becominga ride designer to what is readlily available to them now...I find that awesome. A lot of people use No Limits, as did I, but I found physical means to hold me over. I like to build and design working models. I have many draftings of mechanical devices for use in my models. My current project is of Xcelerator at Knotts Berry Farm. I am using the CoasterDynamix system to build it. I hope my venture in college will help it become successful. Here are some pics I have so far. I have done more but havn't taken the time to post pics. Click Here for Pics You will see various structure, schematic, mechanical, and design pics.
  6. Dude Mike, stay off the Cupid Hot Dogs. I saw you run in there, get a hot dog and then you shoved it down your throat. You could poke your eye out. Lol.
  7. AH! You and Jahan actually did it! I thought he was kidding when he told me...thats hillarious. I can't wait to see that video. Anyways, I found this to be a nice trip report. I havn't fiished reading yet, but I plan to. Very nice pics though.
  8. LOL... Pretty nice there Guy. I don't in any way find this question stupid. All he wants to know is why they have the turns desgined that way and what is its purpose. Many have already said that the turn helps fit the coaster in the area it is alloted. As far as the way the turn is desgined, it doesn't have to be like that, it could just be a turn with friction wheels or with a slight downward angle. I'm sure thats how they started and then some smart and innovative person thought "How can we make this better"...and presto, we have a sweet turn now.
  9. Well then I misread your post.
  10. You have to convert the video file...what is the format of it right now? Sometimes you can find a free converter, but usually it costs some money. You just look for a "INSERT FILE TYPE HERE" to AVI Converter. I think AVI is the standard for Windows Movie Maker.
  11. Well then I must not have gone deep into editing on the two becasue I have been able to make better videos with Premiere than with FCP.
  12. I'm not trying to use it for coaster editing...there are certain effects I have always wanted to try in a movie and Combustion makes it easier to make them happen. Afterall, this is the Video Editing Thread...if it were the Video Editing ofr Coasters Thread, then I wouldn't have posted that. You don't need effects for a cool coaster video, theres a coaster in it!
  13. I have tried almost all of the consumer video editiors and a few of the prosumer versions. If you can get anything, as far as money goes, get Adobe Premiere Pro. I use it cuz its simply the best for me. If you can't afford that (or find a site to download it from), I would suggest the Adobe Elements as gnome mentioned. Very nice editor. As far as working with a Mac, I don't see the point. I can understand trying to rid yourself of Windows and its problems, but if you are doing it just to work with Final Cut Pro, you are wasting your money. Adobe Premiere and Final Cut are almost exact copies...one works for PC, the other for Mac. But, Adobe Premiere did come first, and thus gains my respect as the better product. But Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, Ulead VideoStudio, and all the otehrs only edit your videos. As far as special effects go, I would try out Autodesk Combustion. I havn't tried a lot with this...my computer as of now is not good enough to handle it. So only try to use this if you have a upper end computer. Not as good, but still demanding, is Adobe After Effects...this should work out just fine.
  14. Define perfect... Anyways, neat model...I'm following it a little on SSC.
  15. I think Jahan asked this over AIM, but if a parent comes and signs me in, can they leave? Like my parents will let me go, yet they are not coaster enthusiasts...thus will not sleep at SFMM.
  16. Robb...I was searching through police records and I found something. Remember almost 18 years ago you were thrown into jail for humping a street pole in the nude while drunk? And you were locked in with some hot chick? And she got frisky on you when you were sleeping? Well, she had a baby. You want to know who that hot chick is? That was my biological mother, making you my biological father. So...can I go to the Tatsu Campout with you, father?
  17. ADMIN EDIT: I've created a new Tatsu Media Camp Out Thread. Please see follow this link for the up to date information: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=24889 --Robb
  18. The closest coaster to me, whether I walk thorugh the entrance of the park or not, is this baby.
  19. Your mom is so fat, I swerved around her with a full tank of gas and I ran out .
  20. I would reccomend the Sony VX2100 or PD170...
  21. ^^Build up a very strong relationship with PR by "helping" them through the night, doing WHATEVER they want, and be open for NEW EXPERIENCES...just like Robb did. J/K...but you do need to build a relationship, get out there and let yourself be know,.
  22. I would really like to ride every coaster I havn't ridden, but I'm not made of money and able to take a trip to Europe or Japan for a month of just coasters. I would say the top ones are Millenium Force, Expedition GeForce, TTD/Kingda Ka, and Storm Runner. Wow, all Intamin.
