Unless you really want to experience DC, I'd recommend cutting SFA, and driving straight from Ohio to Knoebels. Spend at least a full day there (though a day and a half or longer is recommended). Then continue the trip from Hersheypark onward. Regarding taking the train to the shore, I'd note that it only goes to Atlantic City which has just a handful of rides. Most of the good stuff (i.e. Morey's Piers, Playland's Castaway Cove) is far further south in Wildwood. I believe there is a bus connecting the Atlantic City train station to Wildwood but idk what its schedule is.

Remember kids: Coasterbill seems to be teetering very precariously close to the edge of troll from a good faith pot stirrer.

True, but I think the sight of the que spilling out into the midway keeps more people from joining since they judge the wait to be longer than it is, and thus keeps the wait a reasonable 20min for those who do join.

Those prices are gross, $44 for two hours in the park? It used to just be 35 just a few weeks ago. I wonder if they’re ever going to change their pricing model.

Shame, I was hoping the park would hold out long enough to visit one day. I wonder what will happen to the rides.

Agreed, rode Mineblower last August, had a great time, but it was rather rough. The airtime, laterals, and overall intensity were still there, and I have no regrets, but it was running rougher than I excepted.

I didn't wind up going to the park this weekend due to a schedule conflict, but I appreciate everyone's advice! I look forward to visiting this place in the hopefully-not-to-distant future.

I'm coming around to Almond Joy which I hate because it means that I'm getting old and turning into my dad. When I start eating peppermint patties I know I have officially become my grandfather. I'm I the only human that likes twizzlers and almond joy? ...but peppermint patties are among my favorite candies

I actually don't mind almond joys, but twizzlers are pretty dull unless they're the pull'n'peel variety.

I'd be really bummed to see the Crypt go, I really liked it during my visit this summer, and I had a much better ride on than on the one @SFGadv. Glad I rode it when I did.

A couple quick questions: -Which day of the week did you go? -How much did crowds thin out in the evening (if at all)? -Do you feel 2 hours enough to get a decent sampling of the rides? Thanks! I'm aiming to take the 5:10pm bus on a Sunday, since I'd be using the twilight ticket which is valid for 6-8pm that day. Are fare machines available throughout the complex or are they only at certain locations?

Granted! To pay for the increased maintenance cost, the price to bowl doubles! I wish the US had better passenger rail infrastructure.

I’ll keep it in mind. Gate 305 is on floor 3. According the maps floor 3 appears fairly straightforward, but idk how tough it is to get to floor 3 in the first place. The bus comes every 20 min, so if it leaves early or late that hopefully shouldn’t be too terrible. I’ll keep the advice in mind.
