  1. Yeah, if you want a site with the best people on it, go to CoasterSims.com I'm over there and all, have been for a while, and I've seen a lot of people's tracks start out crappy and then get better with advice and such. About NoLimits though, if you don't have the patience to actually sit down and shape every piece of track, then buying it prolly isn't the best idea. However, if you want to just ride coasters that others have built, NoLimits is the highest quality and most widely used coaster simulator/editor out right now. Either way you win. The tools, as mentioned, are the new "wave" you could say in NL. There are math programs, which can pump out perfect elements(A guy at CoasterSims is currently developing a newer version of his that will allow you to create the entire layout first and then alter heights in the same program. It will use clothoids too, which is nice!), but you have to be a freaking whizz, or just play around with numbers like I do for now, haha. There is a track smoother, but it doesn't work out pumps, but smooth out major jerks in the track, but often distorts your track to weird ways that you don't necessarily want. The Heartline Tool is nice as well, but the problem most people have is with the inputs, but once you understand where to get those from it's probably the best way to make a smoothly heartlined track. The thing with it is that you have to build your track to put into the program, leaving ample spacing for smooth banking transitions, and not using any heartlines so that your bankings don't get over exaggerated. All in all, NoLimits is a pretty solid offer. It does take some practice, but once you get used to it it's actually pretty simple to play around with. It's worth the money alone to be able to ride all the rides out for it and such.
  2. There's a difference between "nerds" and "herds", Robb.
  3. "Look, Mom! No hand! *scarf scarf scarf*"
  4. Zero-G is obviously the highest point. http://www.rcdb.cc/p/picmax/universal-studios-islands-of-adventure/incredible-hulk18.jpg
  5. Well, that's kinda nasty...
  6. Wes wins. Next round.
  7. Isn't there going to be a Star Wars TV series? I can't wait for the stench that will bring upon the earth.
  8. To increase guest satisfaction, Disney has now incorporated new "special needs" vehicles into their Tower of Terror ride.
  9. BAH, double posting nonsense.
  10. ^ I wouldnt NM Rattler, since the only reason it doesn't get many rave reviews is because not many have ridden it. I'd say: Mantis Disaster Transport Thunder Road BTR @ SFGAm
  11. I believe this should be in the "Ask Alvey" section.
  12. ^"Ohhh, the tears of unfathomable sadness, mmm, yummy!" That episode was awesome on so many levels.
  13. I miss the underpants gnomes.
  14. Dude, yes, Cornball DOES rule. I didn't go to it expecting much, either, but when I got off I was just amazed! Those final humps have some crazy air, and that drop down to the water is just awesome. Not to mention that lat-filled helix! So I skipped a word, gimme a break. haha
  15. Hahahaha, I thought the same thing! I think it was a typo.
  16. In a twist of event, our brave Alvey has somehow lost his right thumb in the clutches of the enemies ankle! Will our digitally disadvantaged friend escape? Find out next time!
  17. A little late, but I suppose Holiday World's staff is running Raven's two trains well?
  18. That site makes me want to kill myself.
  19. Yeah, if you have RCT2 already, just get NoLimits. The only thing about RCT3 is that it's 3d, and crappy 3d if I may add. RCT2 does just fine for doing a park sim. NoLimits is best if you want a realistic representation of the actual rollercoaster.
  20. ^Lots of tweaking. Unless you use some of the math-based track generators out, the only way to do it by hand is to have a lot of patience.
  21. ^Well, apparently not, seeing as you've been registered longer than he has.
  22. If they wanna keep making ice cream flavored cokes, the only natural step would be to make neopolitan coke.
  23. Man, I hope Nick doesn't castrate HER... that wouldn't be pretty at all. I mean, I remember watching him try to mount a TV to the wall, I can only imagine what kinda of damage that man could do to a woman's nether regions.
