  1. His name makes him like, double homo.
  2. I totally sat right about where you did when I went to the Indy 500 about 4 years ago! edit: yes, I know these are two completely different races/leagues.
  3. I completely agree.
  4. If you don't consider cheer leading a sport, you might as well not consider floor gymnastics a sport, either. They are pretty similar, just one is done in groups.
  5. Two, the reasons why I think that word is okay to use is because 1) she is one and 2) the first amendment. Three, politically correct people are the death of America. I think that just about covers it... It's not a matter of whether she is or isn't. You don't walk around speaking angrily about all those useless retarded people do you? Didn't think so. I would agree that it's a matter of respect, but more so, maturity. I think it's funny you censored yourself from using two racial slurs but its ok to use the word "spick".. though I personally would spell it "spic" as Hispanic doesn't have a k... however, irony aside, let's not argue and call names. I think we are all old enough to have reached some level of maturity. As said above, this thread will be locked if this crap goes any further. Continue on with your discussion about Rosie and how much she sucks. I didn't "censor myself". I wasn't sure how to spell it, obviously. Also there is a difference in referencing a word and using it as an insult. His point wasn't you're spelling, but the fact that you didn't give it that same asterisk treatment as the others, and if the asterisks weren't censoring then by all means tell us what they were doing.
  6. ^I like her for the same reason, but I don't think her humor or personality is quite right for the that show. They should try to get somebody that keeps that same energy about them.
  7. ^No. I believe the FVD formulas are your best bet here. I know red released a parabola formula with all the variable you wanted a while ago, but he'd probably refuse to release a now outdated formula. The purg is good for it too, and if you don't need a perfect parabola, you can use HSAK with huge intro-outro values and then the purg to rotates it on end like a hill top and it won't be anywhere near percfect, but passable.
  8. Romans 1:32 Which of these am I going by? Do these sinners really encourage others to do so, do they simply approve of the actions and partake in them when made possible, or do they all stick together to do what they do? That's a pretty hefty difference in my opinion when trying to determine what it means. Of course, this rendition of 1:28-32 from "The Message" is my favorite. Now, I've never been given a prize for being gay. This must be the version that the Phelps family follows since (this directed at those specific radical groups such as Westboro Baptist, and not respectable Christians) they obviously don't have a damn clue. Could you point me to the part in the Bible where it says to persecute homosexuals? I'd love to see the different ways that one's worded. "The Message" version should be especially fun. As it stands, that part doesn't tell Christians they they are the ones to put sinners to death, just that sinners deserve death.
  9. Wrestling ceased to be good when they added stories.

  11. It's really impossible to narrows it down to five, overall, but I'll list my five current faves. Yo La Tengo - "Sugarcube" Arctic Monkeys - "Leave Before The Lights Come On" Radiohead - "The National Anthem" Peter Bjorn & John - "Object of My Affection" My Brightest Diamond - "Golden Star"
  12. I agree. I don't know of many people who speak Hebrew or Greek. In fact, the translation of the Bible could be far off or simply false. Monks, who did most of the copying of manuscripts before the printing press, or up until somewhere around the mid 1400's, were known to have been instructed to change or add into a story parts of their "leader's", for lack of a better terms, beliefs. If they did it to many of stories from pre-Roman England, such as Beowulf, it wouldn't be a huge jump to say that thye could have been instructed to alter parts of the Bible. I know that sounds very "conspiracy theory," but it's just something to think about. Another thing, if you think about it, the Bible has only been available in popular vernaculars for a little less than 500 years, so compared to some other religions and their periods of popular understanding, Christianity is actually kind of a young religion.
  13. So basically, to summarize, "The 'killed' him because saying he was ill wasn't macho enough for the audience"?
  14. ^Nah, "thank you" because I understood what he was trying to say.
  15. Here ya go. Woody of Woodiness.nlpack Trackpackage version.
  16. Think of it this way. Do you think a baker makes a loaf of bread? Or is it the yeast reacting with all the other ingredients combined with the heat which makes it? The two can overlap sometimes depending on how you look at it. I think his problem is more with people believing certain details but then ignoring other parts or simply adding their own ideas into it, and not the actual idea itself. Like how the Bible says God created man and animals and everything terrestrial, and basically leaves it at that, but here we see many people seemingly having a belief that is "unscripted." I think, and yeah I could be wrong, but I think he has a problem with people saying they believe in the stories in the Bible, but then changing or adding on to those stories as if they were either left vague or simply incomplete. I know I've always found it odd how some passages are written off as "outdated" and then others are clung to so tightly, even though they were all supposedly divinely inspired by their god.
  17. Anyone who had Biology in school, and retained any of it, would also realize that somebody with 4 brains cells would not have a brain since said cells would have already deteriorated and hence would not be able to comprehend either idea of existence, but would still be able to make said post.
  18. Evolution. They do actually have very reasonable theories on how it all started. It all comes down to forming gradients. Of course, that random formation of a gradient that would properly lead to what we would call simple bacteria would be a huge coincidence. That's the idea I believe most, too. It seems very reasonable to me. I think that coincidence is the reason so many people choose not to accept evolution. They either can't comprehend such a minute coincidence(and not just for the gradients, but for mutation-based variations which are then "tested" through natural selection, also), or simply refuse to accept these coincidences because they want desperately for their existence to be something of meaning. They want their roots to be easily tangible so that the thought required to comprehend their existence does not detract away from something they esteem as something golden. They want their ultimate creation to be something quite simple. Heavy thought could cause frustration, and frustration distracts them from that glow. I, being a realist, go in the directions that logic or observable evidence point me. I do not however dismiss the possibility of there being something supernatural, but as I see no proof for their being one, I simply do not waste my time attempting to construct such a being. I'm completely at ease with coincidences, and being "existentially selfish", I can allow myself to live my life happily without needing a default explanation for that which I have not explored.
  19. ^For once, you totally made me LOL for realz. Problem: Dante only went through Hell once.
