I've actually been there on nights they were taping these shows and needless to say the people waiting to get into the tapings were quite "interesting". Discussing organic quinoa recipes and the latest Maureen Dowd column, no doubt.

The farmer one stood out simply because it was a stark contrast to almost every other commercial. Beautifully shot and composed, just didn't care for the actual content or what ever dumb truck it was selling. The GoDaddy one was effective just because it got people talking. Would watch an hour of Paul Rudd, Seth Rogan, and Bob Odenkirk riffing, even if it is for a horrible iPhone rip-off.

Good luck to the company who has to tear it out. It's going to be one hell of a rim job.

Not exactly sure why they don't feature him, but the copyright for the Superman character, his suits, and his origin story are actually owned (as of 2008) by the family of creator Jerry Siegel. This may have something to do with it. Other elements, like Lex Luthor, are owned entirely by DC/Warner.
