  1. I was thinking the same. I would imagine it was kinda hard to narrow it down to the final few. I had flagged 25 that I really liked...narrowing it down to six was tough!
  2. Iger responded to Markey...and it's awesome. http://www.deadline.com/2013/01/disney-bob-iger-magicband-congressman-ed-markey-magicband-privacy/
  3. I agree it comes across as weird, but on principle if something potentially raises a red flag, doesn't it make sense for the government to ask the company? Remove this particular congressperson and this particular company from the equation...Let's say a big car company is going to build a new factory near a river, and a congressperson who is on an environmental committee sends them a letter to ask specific questions about the factory's environmental compliance. There's nothing really wrong with that. Would you rather the river be polluted before someone takes notice? It's basic watchdog committee stuff. I know there's particularly harsh sentiment towards Markey in this community, but everything that's happening in this particular instance seems like standard practice. It's only getting traction because there's a big name company attached to it.
  4. If you want to be 100% fair, he is on the House Committee for Privacy, and he has numerous of similar statements and letters to companies like Microsoft, Yahoo, Instagram, Apple, Facebook, etc. Here's an article about how he wrote a letter to Steve Jobs about wanting answers about the iPhone's geotagging stuff: http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2011/04/rep-ed-markey-wants-privacy-answers-from-steve-jobs-again/ This is completely consistent with his role. I know people want to call him an idiot shithead because he is an instigator and he proposed safety regulations 10+ years ago (that never went anywhere) but this letter to Disney is no different than anything else he's done in terms of privacy.
  5. ^ Haha nice! Love the Danny McBride cameo.
  6. I would worry about the glasses getting constantly wet because of the mist or spray from the fountains...people would be taking them off constantly to wipe them down.
  7. 40% of Twitter's function is fake celebrity accounts.
  8. ^ Nice update....hopefully the whole Boardwalk gets some new paint before the new additions officially open.
  9. I don't really care one way or another, some patents come to light, some get buried. It's fun seeing what companies come up with (Disney, Universal, Microsoft, Apple..whoever) but just saying something getting filed with the patent office means it's coming imminently is probably putting the wrong information out there.
  10. It's odd you keep insisting these patents will come to fruition...being such a big Apple fan you know companies patent stuff all of the time and it never happens. They're just protecting potential ideas from being used by other companies.

  17. The new logo feels a little like early 2000's clip art to me. Like it belongs in a Powerpoint slide or something. I dunno...not a big fan.
