  1. If I had to guess, they'll do the I-Box for Mean Streak and then end up with a GCI a few years down the line.
  2. To be fair, they could RMC Mean Streak and still have enough room for a Polercoaster (and a moonshine stand) in the infield.
  3. Bill seems to feel as strongly about the flume as I do about the rapids next door - now that's a good rapids ride.
  4. Am I imagining things, or did the trims on Comet's second turnaround (above the station) get cranked up about 10 years ago? I remember being blown away by Comet's last run out and back when I was maybe 14-15, but ever since there's been very little airtime in the second half.
  5. To be fair, this potential Marvel land already has an E-ticket attraction in the Guardians makeover. What's to say that they don't build maybe one more E-ticket plus a copy of the Iron Man Experience from HKDL? Seems like they have plenty of room for that.
  6. I keep forgetting there's a new roller coaster to ride when I go this Sunday...oops.
  7. Wow, between this and that Energylandia ride, Vekoma is seriously stepping up their game. These are some of the most creative layouts I've ever seen!
  8. Voyage could be the roughest coaster in the world and it would still blow 90% of the rest of them out of the water. It's just that good.
  9. Ah, the joys of fragile masculinity. I'm inclined to agree with this, with the exception of St. Louis-style pizza. That stuff was good. But yeah, I don't think I would ever order pizza at Dollywood. It just feels wrong.
  10. The same thing happened with the stall on Twisted Colossus, and the outward-banked airtime hill on Storm Chaser. There are other differences too - the hill coming out of the first overbank isn't banked at all, and there's no small airtime hill after.
  11. ^That's probably pretty likely. I wouldn't be surprised if the people raving about those rides are just excited about not hitting the trim, and forming their opinion around that. B&M trims are set to keep a train at a very specific speed - if it isn't hitting on the first few rides or the day or on an empty train, it just means that train isn't going fast enough to warrant it in the first place.
  12. Praying for a Batman repaint - that blue they used at Magic Mountain is damn pretty.
  13. Paula is going to be so disappointed in you kids.
  14. EPCOT was the worst when you were a kid - the entire World Showcase walk was always so boring! Much less so as an adult, when you can ride the Three Caballeros ride after a few drinks.
  15. You can also walk out of the station in the normal queue and get to the front row that way too, if you don't want to duck under the railings or if the line is long.
  16. Liseberg just did it a few years back with their old observation tower.
  17. I've gotta hope that they didn't pass up the opportunity to sync them with each launching train!
  18. Seconded. We even have Old Bay beer. Maryland rocks.
