  1. I am most excited about the gondola and the "minnie" vans. Transportation from the value resorts has always been "meh", so this is HUGE.
  2. Traumatizing might not be the best word, but the point still stands: you should be expected to dress appropriately for where you are at. You go to the beach or a pool expecting swimwear. You do not go to a theme park expecting that. Also, as far as restricting what can be worn on waterslides...anything that creates extra friction is a potential hazard.
  3. The exterior doesn't have to be finished for employees to preview the ride.
  4. 100% agreed. I just think in 2017, where Wonder Woman has grossed nearly $350 million in the U.S. & crossed $700 million worldwide, Disney saw an opportunity to change the narrative on a popular character to make her more of a "hero" instead of the kidnapped prize in an auction... People are over reacting. Doesn't really change the story. Can't call the ride "classic" anymore since they added all the movie references. Audiences perceptions change over time and Disneyland is not a museum.
  5. Almost 2 weeks is plenty of time. Looks like it's just a bunch of small stuff like pouring cement and painting that can easily be done. So long as the ride is ready inside, I don't doubt those dates.
  6. Food looks great. The patio looks like someone's backyard.
  7. I remember them hosting a POG tournament and giving that out during the weeks it was running.
  8. Yeah. I'm digging the raids as well. I will probably stay away from Gyms until they make the incentive better to keep a pokemon there. I have a blissey I haven't seen for 2 days, so I can't even collect yet.
  9. 100% yes. Unless its a local park I can visit frequently, I will spring for the upcharge to make sure I get the most out of my vacation.
  10. 5000 cp croconow. Easily defeated with a group of 6. Failed with a 30000cp blastoise when the group of 4 wasn't strong enough.
  11. Raids down to level 28 now. Just did my first one. I like the new gym system since around me it was all level 10 gyms stacked with blissey
  12. Gym's went live today for me! Raids are for level 35+ players for now...
  13. I'm not sure if SFMM has ever been annexed into SCV and might still be considered located in the unincorporated area of Los Angeles. I have known for years SCV wants SFMM within the city as its a cash cow for the city but far as I know LA has never let it go. If you have a site that says different please let us know. It's in Unincorporated LA County. Not the City. And SCV may get their wish, as Six Flags may try to avoid LA Counties minimum wage increases by pushing for an annex.
  14. Not excusing Six Flags' tardiness, but you do realize neither MM or Disney are located LA City right? Neither is the football stadium. It's in Inglewood. And mud when digging a giant hole for a stadium isn't ideal. I would say that anyone who has ever gone through the permitting process in LA county, LA city, or any of the smaller cities throughout the region can tell you that it is AWFUL. My guess is someone in the permitting office for LA County or Santa Clarita has a bone to pick with the park and makes them jump through extra hoops. And if you're the park, you can't really fight back since they control your fate.
  15. I absolutely LOVE the KidZania concept...it's so cool. The adult version is essentially all the one off experiences you can already do. For example, in Vegas you can drive an exotic car (or NASCAR car at the speedway), fly in a trainer fighter jet, fly in actual boeing flight simulators, shoot just about every weapon imaginable, crush a car with a tank, play with heavy construction equipment....
  16. Sounds like we are getting close to legendaries with the pokemon go fest and the new gym system!
  17. Disney has announced the first of what I am sure will be many more changes to ease congestion prior to Star Wars Land: Adventureland shops closing. Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost & South Seas Trader will be closing to become indoor seating for Bengal BBQ.
  18. I'm guessing they won't want the marketing they are trying to do for Haunt drowned out by this new ride. Knott's has a history of Q4 announcements, so I am not expecting that to change.
  19. They will likely announce it in the fall after Haunt. Relax.
  20. Geese poop can carry diseases, so it was probably the right decision given that it was so much. Sucks for those guests---hope the park took care of them.
  21. That's a tough one. Ref did what he was trained to do (blow whistle when lost sight of puck), but he also pulled the trigger too quick. Not a true "blown call", but a crappy snap decision by the ref.
  22. I make of it that it is a construction site for something.
  23. It is what it is: a children's ride. I'm sure parents who have kids who can't ride anything else will still appreciate it.
  24. They've had them throughout the years when the movies have come out (and just had Po for Chinese New Year), just never a consistent presence until now.
  25. Universal announced some upcoming additions and entertainment offerings: -DreamWorks Theatre attraction replacing Shrek that will feature Kung Fu Panda -DreamWorks characters added to the park -Hello Kitty to be featured as part of the under construction replacement for Cartooniversal -The Christmas offerings at WWoHP are coming to Hollywood as well
