  1. Same layout, lots of the same props/sets, yet a completely different feel. Darker/scarier tone. Only downside is they are still having issues with keeping lots of actors in there. But if it's fully staffed, it's a solid maze.
  2. Beat me to it. Ninja and RRv can (and do) valley in high winds. Heavy rain forces rides to drop to one train too for safety since the drive tires lose traction.
  3. New York or Chicago------>any city on the other side of the Atlantic will work.
  4. ^It's because you haven't seen Mallrats.
  5. ^I've seen worse at Disneyland. Many times. And KBF. And USH. And lots of other parks. Sh*t happens. It's impossible to keep a park clean all the time.
  6. ^His sister is pretty hot though.
  7. Stop talking about movies!!!! Talk about Magic Eye pictures instead!!!!!
  8. What's next: too much alcohol is bad for your liver?
  9. Sounds like a sales pitch to me. But hey, if you are going to take ideas from (or buy rides based on concepts at) a theme park...Europa Park is a great place to start! The park has themeing on par with any Disney park, awesome rides, and the hotels were awesome too.
  10. Man...why can't this meet be at SFMM? That's so much closer to my house!
  11. My favorite picture is the Jet Stream one where the panel operator isn't even paying attention to the lift approach area like he should be. But on the bright side, he did have a grouper...which is more than I was ever able get at Jet Stream.
  12. ^So by your logic, you canceled your card with that bank? Because they didn't fix the issue either...just blamed it on SF and said it wasn't their fault SF didn't conform to their authorization charge policy. By your definition, that would fit the bill as "pushing customers away" as well. My understanding is that the $.01 charge is a pretty common authorization charge amount too...I've seen it on my statements numerous times.
  13. I want to say that 12 is the maximum amount of cars they can run, so that's 192 guests.
  14. It's all about the bottom line. I don't think SFI would care if only 10 guests came through the turnstiles as long as they made money. Could this downward attendance spiral be a huge problem? Absolutely. But attendance isn't the only indicator of how well a park is doing. If they can't hit their goals of increasing in-park spending, and attendance continues to drop...then there's trouble. But no need to panick yet. Case in point: Universal Orlando reported a profit with a 3.6% drop in total attendance for the resort.
  15. ^Blame the job environment? I put up with SFMM for over a year and never once pulled out my cell phone while on the clock. That was minumum wage with supervisors who treated me like crap, and usually meant at least 2 hours up at the top of the lift or drop at Jet Stream with nothing at all to do except my extremely boring job of watching boats. So yes...I blame you.
  16. Since donkey balls probably taste better than Budweiser, I'll read that as a backhanded compliment. Glad you had fun at USH. Stupid fire causing everyone to stop on the tram bridge and starway landing.
  17. Anything after Memorial day weekend will be crowded. Manageable, but you'll probably be waiting a 1/2 hour or more for the E-ticket attractions. Most local colleges are out by then, plus some school districts as well. Plus, IIRC, many midwest/east coast schools are done by then, so "tourist season" will have started as well. Also, Nemo opens right around then. So annual passholders will be out in full force if Nemo is operating. If pirates was any indicator, that will make it nuts (pirates had like 1- 1/2 hour waits the first few weeks until passholders started getting blacked out, then it went down to like 15-20 min). So in other words: full. You're one saving grace is the big school districts (LA public schools and I believe OC public schools) are not out yet. So that will keep it from being insane.
  18. That's got to be the creepiest thing I have ever seen. Seriously. Someone needs a life. Badly.
  19. They are by far the worst live band I have ever seen. Jay Z totally saved their asses when he did his set with them after their normal set.
  20. ^Those are the standard Universal construction wall signs. Anything that is walled up (whether it be a new planter or a new ride) has one of those signs on the wall.
  21. You should talk to your Imagineering friend more often if you really believe that. Why wait for Hollywood Dreams when they have 3 B&M's on property, plus ROTM? Or I guess all the surveys they do are worthless? Or all the other measures they take? Using your logic, I guess they were crazy to build IoA (no big coasters prior to that, no real water rides, spiderman was first of its kind, etc.)?
  22. ^I know I did! Ticket number 1.2456567! I'm so excited for opening night!
