  1. People will continue to be drunk and stupid until the end of time. And real criminals will continue to take advantage of situations like that to commit crimes until the end of time as well.
  2. It costs money to maintain it properly... Believe it or not, outside of Superman, no park in the ride draws as much power as Roaring Rapids does for its pumps. Expensive to operate, and those pumps are not cheap themselves to maintain. Wouldn't shock me to see them remove it just for that reason.
  3. They all look fine outdoors. A giant building would be ugly.
  4. Anyone who would prefer a close game must enjoy stress. Blowouts all the way.
  5. I doubt you'll be held there long enough to experience discomfort from being left "dangling" for awhile.
  6. If it’s days were number it would likely be off to another park already.
  7. I'm sure they know people who bought the pass now would be upset the price went down in a few weeks, so I actually think it's smart to tell them to wait. Hook them in with a deal, then keep them there when that deal expires. My membership price has gone up by a dollar or so, but it's still so cheap I don't even care...
  8. I believe The main thing you’re paying the premium for is the cruise line making sure you’re back before they leave. Book on your own and you’re SOL.
  9. Perhaps there are so many “loopy rides” because guests enjoy them?
  10. It's about time That area is extremely dated with lots of dead space. I’d guess a new ride would occupy deja vu and the slingshot spot with apocalypse getting refurb.
  11. I assume they’ll be taking the first section of the lot that isn’t handicapped and making it preferred. If they reconfigure the roads and grass areas up front, that could be prime parking real estate as well.
  12. Realistic answer: crane rentals aren't cheap. My guess is that was intentional to get the tallest crane needed offsite quicker.
  13. The biggest problem with VR coasters continues to be that the processing power to make it actually look real does not exist in that form factor yet. I could deal with low capacity if it was truly immersive and changes the experience in a good way---but all the VR coasters still look like N64 games.
  14. I am sure most of their visits come from passes now, so good on the park for trying to squeeze more revenue out of that.
  15. FT only has 1 train onsite. The other one is gone for inspection / maintenance. This is what happens when you have so many coasters but not enough staff in the cycle shop.
  16. People will most definitely buy whatever they build unless the economy tanks. Developers can't build housing fast enough in so cal.
  17. Parking is expensive at all theme parks because they still have to pay property taxes on it and have a captive audience. Doesn’t really have anything to do with pass sales. You charge what the market will allow you to. I had to pay $50 to park at the cotton bowl if I didn’t want to walk a mile and park in a sketchy shopping center parking lot.
  18. To be fair to the park, I am sure it is buried in the fine print that some benefits are subject to change.
  19. They left themselves a lot of wiggle room with “almost” and “whenever possible.” The 7.85 price is only if you buy 4. 8.95/month for single ones.
  20. So...just like knotts. Why would knotts do the opposite of the industry trends? They left millions on the table being late launching fastlane, which was one of the reasons The mass exodus of the “old guard” at cedar fair. Don’t think they’re going to make that mistake again. Any free public parking by knotts is subject to being towed since it’s all private property in the area.
  21. So it's like almost every other shopping center that charges for parking?
  22. I have never seen a line since they’ve remodeled the place. And there’s bar seating now too. If you are sitting in a restaurant for 2-3 hours you either had the slowest service imaginable or are eating your food in rabbit like portions one tiny bite at a time. You better be continuing to order stuff if you’re sitting around that long. Educational tours will still visit independence hall and keep it a profitable part of the property.
  23. As a USC fan, I can attest to the fact Atlanta blew that game in a way only Steve Sarkisian could.
  24. I hope they're getting a full refurb...the boats easily fill with water because there is so much crap (mainly soggy paper items like maps and receipts) that block the drain.
