Hard Rock / Freestyle Music Park Discussion Thread

More vendors need to sue...the "board of directors" are obviously just sucking the bank accounts dry as they "work to find investors" before filing for bankruptcy. -
How did everyone's school do? I'm thrilled USC landed Seantrel Henderson, as OL is a HUGE concern (3 seniors this year). The skill position players are also ridiculous. Would have liked another LB, but there's no way I can complain given the circumstances!

Hurt Locker & Up in the Air were both awesome movies. I'd be happy to see either of those win.

^^^^I've been working as a line employee and in various leadership roles at parks since I was 16. Granted I'm only 24, but still. If I was given a speech like this, I would be like "WTF is this persons deal?" You make very valid points, but it's way too over the top for me. -

Hahahahahaha. That's really all I can say. The only people interested the property are 3 failed developers. Amazing. -
USC has an amazing skill position class coming in, but are still in desperate need of LB's and OL. I'm not expecting much from this years class, considering the new coaching staff is not yet complete and only had like 2 weeks to try and reel people in. Just keeping the commits Pete Carroll and Co. lined up is good enough for me this year, and will result in a top 15 recruiting class due to the skill position players.

It makes me nauseous, and KT knows this and laughs about it. I'm so proud of her!!!! -

Very rarely does a ride open without experiencing a difficult first summer. No amount of testing can completely correct that. There's just a natural learning curve for everyone involved. -

This collection is really cool! Over the last few years of TPR trips, I've made it a point to buy any sort of cool Disney theme park toy/model/etc. I've found. I'm jealous of this awesome collection. Keep the updates coming! -

Helicopter rides are both terrifying and awesome! You certainly ended the thread on a high note! I've only visited that area once, and I was blown away by how much random stuff there is to do. Thanks to you, we all got to experience all those random attractions! Good luck with the move. Thanks for all the updates! -

Why will the testing take "a good while." Premier (and the the vendor they use for ride programming) have plenty of experience. -
The answer Tim gave was something along the lines of "Six Flags agreed to go with the ASTM standards...", which based on some interpretations of the standard, could very well be true. Revolution was build before the ASTM standards existed, so there is a chance that OTSR's were the only way to modify the ride to meet those standards. The only thing I can think of that might apply to Revolution is the standards on the reach envelopes. Not 100% sure on that one though.

^I get that. But I don't think the iPad does enough to differentiate itself from the iPhone, iPod Touch, or even laptops/desktops to make people who already own one of those go out and buy an iPad. It doesn't even do flash (and probably won't---why would Apple want you watching shows for free on Hulu instead of buying them on iTunes?). However, I do like the form factor/concept of this device. Like I said, if they get a next generation version of it running some form of OS X---then I will consider buying one. They'd really be on to something if they could have an iTunes like store that could sell you versions of real software titles to run on the tablet---not just iPhone apps.

^^I bought one of those too! And a seat from Alien Encounter. I don't know what I am going to do with either of them, but it seemed like a good idea to buy them at the time.
