From what I gather, the park severely underestimated their attendance and season pass sales projections.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it was just a huge design flaw that no one realized until it was too late. I imagine them having initially designed a "non rider" path through the exhibit, but that possibly being cut from the budget because someone said "we can just send them through the exit." Then when they built it, they realized the humidity was causing trouble and went "oh crap."

I hope since it appears to be somewhat controlled (judging by the fact it goes backwards), there will be a pause for you to take into the view.

^Highly doubtful. EDC does way more than 64,000 people. The noise and traffic would make the strip miserable for everyone. They're not really "building" anything either. They just got approval to use it for events without going through the permitting process every single time. The biggest event I could see being held there is the Mayweather/Paqiuao fight if it ever happens.

The neighbors probably have more friends in high places than CGA does. Can't burn your bridges if you want to stay in business and keep any future expansion plans from being messed up.

^That's a great point: it comes with any enthusiast community who already knows every single bit of information about a ride/movie/game/etc. well in advance. Of course the expectations are going to be high.

Perilous Plunge was only good in its original form. Once the lady died, the ride wasn't worth the wait. The airtime was INSANE on the original.
