Photo TR: Holiday World & Indiana Beach
Rockman89 replied to Real's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
I remember last time I was at Holiday World the ops didn't allow re-rides. Every single time we woulde run down the exit ramp and back into through the line. Anyways, nice trip report. -
I'll have to try both the front and the back seeing how mixed people's preferences are. I'm heading down there for Friday.

Discovering new music via coaster videos
Rockman89 replied to AllisonY2K's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Are you sure that wasn't from a trip to any Six Flags park? It just randomly starts up on speakers throughout the park. There's no rhyme or reason to it, but one second you are enjoying your day at the park and the next, the Vengaboys are rudely informing you of their recreation preferences. -
Coasters at Night
Rockman89 replied to Erik Johnson's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Of all the coasters I've ridden at night, the only one that truly seemed to change a ton for the night was the Beast. Maybe it was just the trains, but my ride in the day was rough. Once night fell, I went for another ride and it was much smoother. It was pretty cool in the dark, too. -
Robb had a good post a while ago with the Google Earth locations of quite a few amusement parks linked in. I'm sure someone'll put the link up, but for now, have you tried Google Moon? http://moon.google.com/

Rockman89 replied to it's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Any coaster with an intensity rating over 10 is too intense for me. -

I got excited when I first looked at the picture, but then I realised it couldn't be a Pretzel Loop. Silly Intamin. -

Avatar Theme Week! Going on NOW!!!
Rockman89 replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Mine was quick, but here's a (slightly) exaggerated rendition of a typical ride on anything Vekoma. -
Thank God Sony designed something other than a computer. I'm a little confused about the idea of seven controllers. I mean, c'mon, 7? It's a good number for fairy tales but not for splitting the TV screen. BTW, more info and pics @ Gamespot: http://www.gamespot.com/news/2005/05/16/news_6124681.html?q=1&tag=gs_ps3_topslot_click

Some official word on the new XBOX 360.

For all that time they claim to have spent on design, it's ugly. It looks like my computer. It's not supposed to be a computer. Where's my Apple console? I want my multiplayer Photoshop! -

That's Phantom's Revenge. The woodie looks like it's a GCI of some sort. -
Everyone should have one of these
Rockman89 replied to Cdn Mndbndr's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yeah, it origionally was found after the story on Negative G. http://www.negative-g.com/BlueFlash/February2002/Blue-Flash-2002-2-1.html There's another homebrewed one in Italy that I saw a movie of recently, but I can't seem to remeber where it was at. -
The Official Amazing Race Thread!
Rockman89 replied to Meteornotes's topic in Random, Random, Random
That was definetely the result I was hoping for. The Survivor couple was way too cocky and selfish. Just watching the show you could relate their relationship to a middle school one. ("It's all about my needs being met.") U & J had a much better attitude. The other couple was stuck on other issues rather that the race, and rightfully so. -
As long as we're on the topic of picture you scroll through, I present to you the Zoom Quilt. It's pretty addictive. http://www.eviltree.de/zoomquilt/zoom.htm

Mostly here, Screamscape, and CoasterBuzz (like some of the others, just for the news). I sometimes check out Westcoaster and Negative G.
