  1. A long time ago, I found one of those crash clips for RCT3 on youtube, that had TIny Tim's "Tiptoe Through The Tulips" playing in the background. Unfortunately I lost the link, and I haven't been able to find it since, which is a shame, because it was hilarious.
  2. Apologies if these have been posted elsewhere, but this all reminded me of what I found a couple of years ago...
  3. My jaw dropped when I saw this headline... I've never been to KD, but now I really want to go. Forget Intimadator! Screw Volcano! It's all about the singing mushrooms for me!
  4. This is terrific! I see a lot of impressive haunts where I live, but this just tops all of them. I hope he can get the money and space to expand this ride in the future.
  5. As somebody who joined this forum just a couple of years after Robb and Elissa were married, it's hard to believe that this much time has already passed since then. Perhaps it's because I still watch all of the coaster expeditions on my Ipod at work to this day, and the wedding still feels recent. Congratulations on 10 years of marriage to both of you. And what better place to celebrate this occasion than Epcot? Still my favorite of all the Disney parks that I've visited.
  6. Usually when I eat out, I like to go to a little place in downtown Ithaca called Maxie's Supper Club. They serve excellent raw oysters and peel-and-eat shrimp for appetizers, and also make an excellent shrimp and grits dish. I hear the steak's good too, though I haven't tried it yet. There's also a great selection of pizza places, including Italian Carry Out (ICO as they're sometimes referred to) which is right around the corner from my house. They make a delicious white garlic pizza with sausage and pepperoni called the Joey. They also serve great subs, including the meatball parm and roast beef, which are both made from scratch. As for chains, I sometimes like to go to Moe's or Chili's if I'm in the mood for Tex-Mex. I don't really eat fast food burgers anymore, but I'll go to Wendy's if the mood strikes. There's also a Cracker Barrel, not too far from where I live. I love to get a big breakfast from there, every so often.
  7. Oh, and if you're looking for more good eating in Pittsburgh outside Kennywood, be sure to hit Primanti Bros. downtown. Excellent, loaded sandwiches.
  8. ^ Thanks for letting me know about these. Usually, we're too tired to drive anywhere else after Knoebels, and go to either the Cracker Barrel or Ruby Tuesday that are right next to where we usually stay, in Buckhorn.
  9. Hershey, PA is also home to the "What If..." restaurant, which I heartily recommend.
  10. Surprised no one has mentioned Dinn yet. As for my vote...RCCA leads the way!
  11. The only reason Arrow loopers are painful is because of those damned OTSRs that they insisted on adding to all of them. I actually admired their drive to try and do things differently from other companies, corkscrew clones aside. I miss multiple inversion coasters, frankly, which seem to be lost in an age of "airtime, airtime, airtime!" coasters, as I call them, and single giant hill rides like Kingda Ka. As for Vekoma...the less I say about them, the better. I'll give them the Disney coasters, though.
  12. Perhaps, but for right now, I'm enjoying the moment for this season.
  13. ^ Me too. Even if the bucs lose, I can still be happy with the fact that they made it this far after all these years.
  14. The NHL is the only league I can think of where teams have actually moved from the South to the North. Not only the Thrashers to Winnepeg, but another Atlanta team, the Flames, going to Calgary.
  15. I'm all for Seattle getting an NHL team. Imagine if the Whalers were reborn there. Seattle Whalers has a nice ring to it too, I think.
  16. ^ Maybe they should skip overtime, and go straight into the shootout. I know a lot of hardcore fans are upset by the concept of the shootout, but one thing that discourages potential casual fans for hockey is ties. Americans HATE ties (This is why soccer hasn't really caught on), so I applauded the decision to get rid of them in the NHL. While we're on the subject, I'd like to throw out other ideas to the NHL. - Focus more on the northern states. I know the south is hot property now, but they are football and NASCAR through and through. With a few exceptions (Tampa Bay), nobody gives a damn about hockey down there. I wanna see the Quebec Nordiques and Hartford Whalers rise from the ashes, just like the Winnepeg Jets! - Shorten the playoffs to single knockout. I know it's blasphemy to mention this, but I really do think the NHL (and NBA) playoffs go for way too long. Only hardcore hockey fans still want to watch hockey in the middle of June. The only sport that warrants a best of seven series in the postseason is Baseball. The NFL playoffs and NCAA basketball tournament are terrific, because they always leave you wanting more. - No more lockouts! I apologize in advance to any hardcore fans I might have offended. I'm just a casual fan who worries about the survival of the NHL.
  17. Yes! Bucs win tonight, and with the Nationals' loss, they're now going to the playoffs for the first time since 1992! I never thought I'd live to see the day. I've been waiting for this since I was 12.
  18. I hope this is the last time I see Melancon on the mound for the Pirates in a long time. Blowing the lead TWICE in a single week in the 9th inning? Inexcusable. It pains me to say this, but the Bucs don't look like a playoff team right now. They a need an effing bullpen first.
  19. Here's a terrific tribute to the Epcot Center of old.
  20. OK, this is so dirty, but incredibly funny at the same time. NSFW! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I9yHFAAhUq0
  21. Next time you go to Kennywood, go north to New Castle, PA. It's a 45 minute drive, but it's worth it, because New Castle is home to MP Coney Island, where some of the best chili dogs and chili fries I've ever tasted currently reside.
  22. I have so many favorites. This is just a few of them. - The Dick Van Dyke Show - Everybody Loves Raymond - Are You Being Served? - Keeping Up Appearances - Tales From The Crypt - The Simpsons (90's to 2001 era) - Married With Children - Mad Men - The Young Ones - Doctor Who (Old and New)
  23. I'm more of a sausage guy in general when it comes to breakfast meats, and I'm very picky when it comes to bacon. I love it crisp, but I also like it to be thick cut, with just the right amount of fat on it in some spots to give it that nice bit of juiciness.
  24. I recently re-watched my Blu-Ray of Re-Animator. Classic splatter film, 'nuff said. I also recently saw Hatchet 2. I loved the original, and this one was just as dumb, and brutal, and over-the-top fun. It's played straight, but the kills are almost cartoonish in how crazy they are. It's an interesting juxtaposition. Halloween is fast approaching, and I love horror movies. The more far out and gruesome, the better.
  25. Interesting. That's still a lot of money though. All it does really, is remind me of how expensive it is to go to MLB games nowadays. Baseball's the kind of game that doesn't translate well to TV. You really have to be there to understand its appeal, so it's a shame that a lot of people I know can't afford tickets to a professional game. At least we still have the minor league clubs around here. Oh, and congrats to your Dodgers, Joey, winning the NL West. I may be a bucs fan, but I fondly remember seeing the Dodgers in the 88 world series, where Kirk Gibson hit that famous homer.
