  1. The Wendy's owner regularly posts here. From the great beyond, apparently... dt
  2. I'd be interested in a photoshop contest. It would force me to practice more with the program... dt
  3. ^It's the same guy. I joked at the beginning of the series that they had crashed on Sloan Island. Maybe Desmond's last name is Rambaldi... dt
  4. My huge problem with it was every interesting moment had already been show during commercails over the last month. I'll watch it a few more times, but I have to say I expected a lot more from the genius that made American Gothic. I haven't checked out Surface or Threshold. Worth watching? dt
  5. ^If you're going to quote Styx, it should be from Mr. Roboto... Dave "best album EVAH...well, not really" Thomas
  6. It indeed kicked much ass. And it looks like I was right about what was inside the hatch... dt
  7. Zork is the first game I remember playing on the Apple II... dt
  8. ^It's on here three hours before you will see it! dt
  9. After riding Balder and Colossus, I'd like to see the Intamin wood coasters become the new "it" ride. They are spectacular rides, and if Colossus is any indication, seem to hold up well over the years... dt
  10. The only part of any episode I saw of this was the last half of the finale tonight (we finished watching Rome and Prison Break on the DVR, and CBS was on the TV when we were done). The guy that one seemed to fit better with the band, but when the other guy sang "Wish You Were Here", he sounded GREAT! Hopefully he'll end up in another band or something. I think they should do this idea with another band that has a bit higher profile, like Van Halen. Or better yet, do it with Axl Rose and see if he can put together a version of Guns 'N Roses long enough to finish an album... dt
  11. Usually people are happy to be leaving PA... Have fun on your trip! Knoebel's rules!!! dt
  12. I always thought making new covers for the Robb Report magazine might be fun. dt
  13. The passholder nights are usually INSANELY busy. They might not have QBot available during it either, as it's a special event. Good luck... dt
  14. So if I get the US game and drum, will it work with the Japanese version of the game? Having played both, I like the Japanese version better. Although since either version involves hitting something, they're both good... dt
  15. ^My monitor now needs to have diet coke wiped off of it. Thanks... dt
  16. You know, ARN&R is usually pretty damn funny, but they have entered the comedy hall of fame with their latest updates. These past couple of days have killed. And there is plenty of comedy fodder in the picture and trip reports. Wes should really take a look at them... dt
  17. Children should NOT be allowed in Business Class! Or their ultra-annoying parents! And we got the same damn family of toads on both our flights!!! Dave "I need access to a taser at all times!" Thomas
  18. As far parks go, Hershey blows BGW out of the water. More to do, and more fun in general. Sure, BGW looks nice, but there really isn't anything amazing there (yeah, Alpengeist is tall, but is braked to hell). As far as history stuff goes, well, BGW is in Williamsburg, which is packed with stuff to do. If you end up going there, you MUST eat at The Trellis! Aside from really good food, it's the birthplace of the "Death By Chocolate" cookbook, so you can just imagine what the desserts are like! Hershey is not too far from both the PA Dutch country and the Gettysburg battlefields. Both of which are interesting if you're into history, especially the battlefields if you're at all interested in the Civil War. For history stuff, I'd probably pick Williamsburg, especially if you've never been there, but both areas are pretty cool from a history perspective... dt
  19. Well, if you're looking at October, I don't even think Hersheypark will be open. If it is, it will be limited operation. There's probably more to do in the VA area than the PA area, though if you could let me know a bit more about what sort of things you like to do, I could offer suggestions, as I'm really familiar with both (lived near Hershey for 26 years). dt
  20. I've been checking out all the Europe updates as you posted them. Dan's photos turned out great! That was an amazing trip. I'll have to post some of the photos we took at some point, as Mary took about a thousand or so... dt
  21. Yeah, Oakland is a place that you probably don't walk around at night in. Whenever people are hanging out around me, remind me to tell the story about the first time I visited Oakland. I have to act out parts of it, which is why I'm not typing it up now... dt
  22. Well, Oakland is not exactly a place where you say "wow, there is so much stuff i want to take pictures of here!". It's an OK place, but you need to go across the bay for quality entertainment. Jack London Square has some good food places, though. Sounds like you were busy. Hope you get some rest! dt
  23. I'm picking the unnamed Intamin Wood Coaster that is going to be installed at SFGAdv. Having been on Balder and Colossus this summer, if this ride is anything like those two rides, it will instantly become one of the best coasters in the US. I cannot wait to try it out next year... dt
  24. Opeth - Windowpane dt
  25. The stuff on the left side of the page is often the best, but this time it is amazing! Some of the funniest stuff that has ever been on the site! dt
