I'll freely admit the A's have had a great year. But I have to give the edge to the O's manager, a guy who took over a team that many had tried and failed to do anything with over many, many years. He got them playing better in the second half of the season last year, and this year has managed to get great play out of a team consisting of lots of young and/or no-name players. Yes, I'm a local, and have watched this team struggle for a LONG time, but I really think he's done an amazing job, especially given what he has to work with. dt

Really hope more parks start offering this. I too wonder if this will make the service cheaper, sinc you're using your own hardware. dt

Another close game, and usually the O's are unbeatable in extra-inning games this year, except against the Yankees for some strange reason. It could also be a weather related reason, as the temperatures in this part of the country have suddenly dropped, and they figured they might as well announce it as closed as to not upset anyone making a trip out to ride it. In any event, this is a non-issue, as it's three weekends. No big deal. I do love internet engineers. I had no idea junior high schools offered such advanced degrees. dt

When watching the Liseberg coaster video this morning, one of my first thoughts was "this is what SFMM should be building". Talk about a missed opportunity. I'm guessing they went with FT because it will be easier to market its EXTREEEEEEMEEEEE elements to the 12 year olds the park really only seems interested in serving. Another thing to note is that Liseberg is one of the best parks in the world, and SFMM is, um, not. Quality over quantity wins every time. dt
