And that's a bet you'd lose. I been on NTAG. I also rode the old Giant, and despite it's condition at the time, you could tell there was an interesting coaster hiding in there. Plus, you can talk to people that rode the old Giant when it was young, and they'll tell you what a great ride it was, and how it was regarded as one of the best wooden coasters around at the time. You would be hard pressed to find anyone singing the praises of Mean Streak like it was ever one of the best wooden coasters in the world at some point. Again, there really isn't anything remarkable about it, and it's really not a "signature" ride, one that people immediately think of when they think of Cedar Point, unlike Texas Giant or Rattler at their respective parks. I just don't see what they'd get out of re-doing Mean Streak vs putting the money into something new. Like a new Intamin woodie (someone has to build one at some point!).
I always forget about the Georgia Cyclone. Yeah, that's a good call too. It was easily one of my favorite coasters when I rode it many years ago. Now? Not so much...
