In a surprise turn of events, a settlement has been reached between Gentign Malaysia Berhad and 21st Century Fox/The Walt Disney Company... The park will retain the rights to some Fox intellectual property but cannot use the Fox name in the branding of the park that was formerly set to be known as Fox World. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/thr-esq/disney-fox-settle-billion-dollar-dispute-malaysian-theme-park-1226936

You managed to pack a lot into two days to make a pretty amazing trip! You hit the trifecta of German park's I'd plan to visit if I ever made my way to that side of the world! Thanks for sharing this great report with us! -
I really love that even when Tokyo Disney gets a ride from the stateside parks that they amp the experience up with a unique queue, story and ride experience. Soaring looks like it really is the best version of the attraction... As pretty much every experience at Tokyo Disney is when compared to their worldwide counterparts. Thanks for sharing this great report!

On Thursday night TPR was invited to check out Villains After Hours at the Magic Kingdom! This recently-launched event runs from 10:00 PM to 1:00 AM (with event admission granting you access to the park starting at 7:00 PM) with special entertainment, food and merchandise! Like with Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, the event’s capacity is substantially lower than the normal park capacity, enabling majorly reduced wait times across the board, including for rides like Peter Pan’s Flight which typically has a 75-90 minute wait during the normal operating day. Villains After Hours manages to pack in a lot of event-exclusive content once the 10:00 PM mark rolls around. Villains Unite The Night is a 25 minute show in front of Cinderella Castle with no shortage of projection effects, fireworks and pure fire! Maleficent the Dragon also roams the parade route at intervals throughout the night. This float from the daytime Festival of Fantasy parade really stuns at night, lighting up the dimly lit Hub and Main Street USA buildings with its constant jets of fiery breath. Besides the entertainment at the event, Disney has managed to plus two of their signature attractions, Space Mountain and Pirates of the Caribbean in unique ways. Space Mountain operates in total darkness with a sinister new soundtrack—seriously, the experience of having no sight in the ride (not even the launch tunnel) is amazing! And for Pirates of the Caribbean, some new pirates have invaded the attraction, roaming the queues and interacting with guests while they wait to board their ships... Keep an eye out for a familiar face to show up in the ride, making an appearance only during Villains After Hours! Something that will surely appeal to guests of this event is the inclusion of unlimited popcorn, ice cream (Mickey Bars!!!), sodas and bottled water, available to be picked up at kiosks throughout the park! Honestly, this is a pretty clever way of coming up with a unique set of unlimited offerings to compare to Halloween’s unlimited candy or Christmas’ unlimited hot chocolate and cookies... I could argue that this is the best value of the three! For those looking to indulge in a few more unique culinary options, there are purchasable offerings throughout the park that are exclusively available to event guests. While mostly sweet (brownies, tarts, etc), there are a few savory choices like the Evil Emperor Zurg’s Noodles and the buffalo chicken nachos on black bean chips. There are also several unique beverages including a bubbling strawberry soda, a chocolate-rimmed Fanta Orange/Coca-Cola hybrid and a frozen mocktail that can satisfy your thirst for a drink beyond the standard bottled fare offered at the unlimited kiosks. With minimal wait times, unlimited treats like Mickey Bars, some awesome entertainment and a few unique enhancements to classic attractions, Villains After Hours is definitely worth your time! If anything, this event manages to make the wait for the Halloween Party and Christmas Party seasons much easier to handle, as this similar offering takes pages from those established books and yet, still stands on its own as a unique and exciting new event! And the back... Here’s a look at the Villains After Hours event guide! We tried the Headless Horseman Browkie early in the evening and it was delicious! We’re back at the Magic Kingdom for Villains After Hours! The main event starts at 10:00 PM but access to the park with an event ticket starts at 7:00 PM! Some guests have gotten into the Villains After Hours spirit with some excellent costumes! Don't you wish you were riding the Tomorrowland Transit Authority Peoplemover right now? Enjoying a ride on The Magic Carpets of Aladdin! Space Mountain offers a “villainous adventure” during Villains After Hours where the coaster flies through total darkness with a sinister soundtrack! I wasn't going to ignore this chance to indulge! Unlimited popcorn, ice cream, soda and bottled water are available throughout the park at no additional cost during Villains After Hours! Event-exclusive food and drinks are available throughout the park. Villains Unite The Night brings the villains together to fulfill a prophecy of evil, transforming Cinderella Castle in the process! Time for some fireworks! A few new pirates have arrived at Pirates of the Caribbean for a Villains After Hours adventure! Villains Unite The Night really is a combination of a stage spectacular and a fireworks show with as much pyro and fire as is used here. Sampling the Villains After Hours-exclusive Hades Temptation Mocktail over at Tortuga Tavern! Pirates prowl these corridors... Really fun to watch! Watching the show from farther back gives you a greater appreciation for the amazing transformations through which the castle undergoes. I really love this look! Helping Buzz Lightyear defeat the evil Emperor Zurg on Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin! This really adds a fun element to the queuing experience! Such a cool effect! It is never too late in the evening for a ride on Splash Mountain! FIRE! The mix of projection effects, fireworks and pyro makes this show a true spectacle! Fireworks all around the characters onstage! With each villain's arrival, Cinderella Castle transforms. Maleficent the Dragon roams the park at set times throughout the evening, lighting up the night with her fiery breath! And with each villain, minions arrive to show off their skills. Making her final loop of the night... The Hub transforms into a giant dance party before the Villains Unite The Night show kicks off! Feel the heat! I'll never get tired of seeing this up close! And here's the money shot! We had a fantastic evening at Villains After Hours! Short waits for the rides, unique entertainment and a great experience overall! Be sure to check this event out for yourself! Time for some unique Villains After Hours fun in the Hub! The Doctor Facilier segment is a real highlight! Other Disney Villains (Bowler Hat Guy!!!) assemble at the Main Street Train Station to send off guests as Villains After Hours comes to a close... Nighttime rides on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad are the best! This show gets really hot at times! It really feels unlike any other show you'll find at Walt Disney World. There's something ridiculously cool about seeing the dragon roam down Main Street USA at the wee hours of the night. Whens villains unite, there's some wicked fun to be had! Did I mention there was fire in this show? There’s plenty of event-exclusive merchandise to be found in the park! Wait times throughout the event are exceptionally low when compared to what you’d find during the normal park operation.

Last night TPR was hosted for an evening preview of Late Nights at Enzo's Hideaway Tunnel Bar and The Edison. These new evening late evening menus offer an incredible value for guests enjoying Disney Springs, with generous portions, great prices and plenty of delicious food to enjoy! Late Nights at Enzo's Hideaway and The Edison run Mondays through Thursdays from 10:00 PM to midnight with limited menus offered during these times. We started our time at Enzo's Hideaway with a demonstration of how the bartenders craft two of the signature "Giggle Waters" offered in the Tunnel Bar. Quality limoncello! And these folks have nailed it! There's a science to crafting fine cocktails... You can't go wrong with an abundance of cheese! Two of the delicious signature Enzos Hideaway “Giggle Waters” are the Limoncello Gimlet and the Luciano Spritz! How about some meat? Some fresh olives, grapes, honeycomb and almonds to pair with the meat and cheese boards. The Chicken Parmesan Sliders were absolutely delicious! The Fontina in Carozza (fried cheese!) is a great twist on the classic fried mozzarella! Time to head over to The Edison for The Edison Late Night preview! What better greeting than a serving of Clothesline Maple Bacon! The two drinks we sampled were the Electric Lizard (left) and The Fluoroscopy (right). Rum or vodka respectively. Pick your poison, both are great! Late Nights at The Edison run Mondays through Thursdays from 10:00 PM to midnight. For $5 you can get this Philly Cheesesteak, a bacon cheeseburger or the clothesline bacon! The bacon cheeseburger is a great value for $5! Thanks to Enzos Hideaway and The Edison for hosting us for a fantastic evening of late night bites and drinks! It is really exciting to see some late night offerings pop up at Disney Springs... And for the value, I'll definitely be revisiting both of these menus... I mean, how can you not where there's clothesline bacon and fried cheese? This atrium may be familiar to some Pleasure Island fans... Our preview finished with an amazing Cherry Cheesecake Trifle. We spent our evening at Enzos Hideaway and The Edison previewing their new Late Night menu items!

Great to hear! This has looked like it had the potential to be among the best "remakes" Disney has put out... I'm even more excited to see the film after reading this review! Thanks for sharing!

SFNO/Jazzland Discussion Thread
jedimaster1227 replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It looks like the Six Flags New Orleans/Jazzland saga is nearing the end as local officials target demolition of the former park. Six Flags New Orleans closed after Hurricane Katrina flooded the park in 2005 and save for a few attractions Six Flags pulled from the park in the first few years that followed, the remainder of the property has been left untouched. Several companies have attempted to resuscitate the park but it appears that with none of those efforts moving beyond paper, the local government has begun the process of moving towards clearing the property and starting over with new, non-amusement park usage. https://weather.com/news/news/2019-07-05-new-orleans-six-flags-demolished-hurricane-katrina -
Coasters having expiration dates?
jedimaster1227 replied to Samuel's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Even if that were the case, Universal has already proven that they were willing to rebuild a signature steel coaster from scratch to maintain (if not pluss) the experience. There is nothing to say that they couldn't have done the same thing if they really wanted these coasters to live on... This situation is simple enough to pin it to the factors that are apparent--Universal and JK Rowling made the determination Dragons no longer had a place in The Wizarding World and the land was more valuable to be used for a different attraction. End of service life was an excuse to pull the plug despite the fact that they extended the service life of a comparable attraction in the same park without challenge less than two years earlier. -
Walibi Holland Discussion Thread

I appreciate the effort they made to retain a few elements of Robin Hood... Other than that, the theming seems a little underwhelming if not disjointed. I don't quite understand why random LOVE signs have been thrown around the coaster including on the most picturesque element of the coaster's structure.
