^ Merlin actually approached SeaWorld recently about buying the Busch Gardens parks, but because they're the most profitable parks in the chain, SW wasn't willing to let them go. But with the SeaWorld parks clearly struggling to turn a profit, I'm sure the chain wouldn't mind offloading them.

I've never stayed there myself, but I've heard several forum members recommend Econo Lodge North. It's right across the street from the park. I've stayed there twice and am staying there again in June. I tried to get a room there for CoasterMania, but it was booked solid, so I'm staying over at Comfort Inn River's Edge, about 20 minutes away.

I wonder if they'll look into buying some of the SeaWorld parks. SeaWorld San Antonio is but a 15-minute drive from SFFT, and if the SW parks really are doing poorly, I'm sure SEAS would be happy to offload it. SeaWorld San Diego is another possibility, as it's a 3-4 hour drive from SFMM.

I stopped by the park for a couple of hours this afternoon. Helpful Honda Express is open again, but Revolution is still closed. The park was dead, as is typical during the week, so everything was running one train (two trains, in TC's case) - which is perfectly fine, considering the crowds. In about an hour, I got in quite a few rides, but just barely missed the last train of the day on Riddler, even though I was already halfway through the queue when the park closing announcement came over the loudspeakers. Oh, well.

Great report! It looks like you had a blast, and makes me really look forward to riding it myself. That's interesting about the loud lift hill. I've always considered Twisted Colossus's lift hill to be loud; was it even louder than that?

Chaining yourself to the train will virtually guarantee you'll be the first to reach the 100-ride milestone. Of course, you won't be able to get a chain and padlock past the metal detectors. But since there's nothing above them, you should be able to just hop over.

DUDE!!! That ride looks fantastic. CoasterMania can't get here soon enough.

I'm going to try to stop by SFMM after work tomorrow to ease my X2 withdrawal. Other than that, I'm planning on going to KBF a month from now to ride Hangtime. I'll also be in the Midwest a few weeks later for CoasterMania (which will be my first visit to CP), as well as first-time visits to Kennywood and Kings Island.

Goliath @ SFMM last night

I spent a few hours at the park yesterday evening. The park was pretty busy, and most everything had a 30-60 minute wait. Big shout-out to the TC crew. I know I come on here and sing their praises almost every time I visit this park, but last night's operations were the fastest I've ever seen them move. They were pushing people to hurry up and board the train, and were dispatching trains before the last train even hit the 2nd lift hill. When I arrived at the park around 5:00, I didn't see any racing trains. When I rode TC around 8:00, almost every train was racing. The trains that didn't race were held up by people who, after getting off the train, decided to stand inside the queue to discuss which ride to go to next. Meanwhile, the train was loaded up and ready to dispatch, and one of the ride attendants was trying to push the chatterboxes out the gate. As soon as they were out, the RA literally ran to her station so the train could dispatch. Meanwhile, every other crew that I encountered was made up of land snails.

I haven't yet ridden either of those, so I still don't know what you mean. Was it typical Vekoma headbanging, or did it have other issues?

Does the park have a list of what is offered at each restaurant on the dining plan? I know the map and the website list restaurants where you can use it, but what exactly can you get with it?

Was Stinger really that bad?? -- I only ask because it's pretty much a clone of Invertigo at KI, and Invertigo really isn't that bad. Is it great? No. But it's very re-rideable, and much better than a traditional sit down boomerang. I completely agree with your opinion of Invertigo. Stinger is not even close to it in terms of quality. Stinger was one of the few coasters I couldn't wait to get off as soon as it started going. It was horrible and will not be missed. What made Stinger so much worse than Invertigo?
