  1. I wonder if they're ACErs who wanted their own backyard coaster without doing all of the hard work.
  2. Awesome job to SFMM getting the falls back up and running! Oh, and Kristen is still amazingly cute.
  3. EPCOT part 2! And I end this update with FIRE! thanks for looking, and come back again when I have some Hollywood Studios pics up. This is what happens when your bored, you take 15 second exposure photos. Exclusive night shot! There we go! Hmmm this isn't Disney enough... Now that I'm awake, let's go ride Test Track again with no wait! oh yay, nap time! *le sigh* freaking France and their insanely hot employees. I would have let him stuff my crepe. I see you Mexico, no sneaking over borders today. Oh, maybe because back when Disney cared with Micheal Eisner in charge, they made sure the "Magic" wasn't ruined when they built Tower of Terror at the then MGM studios near by. This building looks slightly familiar... Seems like yet another thing to just roam around in Off to Morrocco, I just ran in and grabbed a few pictures, so I wasn't able to explore much of it. ooo Matsuriza is playing YAY Hello Panda! I sure did buy a box. awwww bears are so cute! Not shot with an SLR, but still pretty Very tranquil Definitely a great place to just escape for a bit I liked this pavilion a lot as well (you notice a theme here?) After a shot of Sake, it was off to the rest of Japan! Someday I will see teh real thing in person! oh, and POSTCARD! Must be cold. How you doin'? I loved itay, but again I wish it was a tad larger. Postcard! gee, thanks. it was still fun to play giant monster *raaawwwwwwrrrr* It wasn't working Cuckoo cuckoo Yup, I'm the Queen. That's what I'm talking about! I had a blast just walking through all the shops Hi Soren! This was just a cool shot. I liked this display Seated Buddha Even in the shop the detail is something usually only Disney (with foreign financial backing) can do. the Jade Sculptures were pretty impressive too. Especially this one... a half scale replica of the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest near Beijing The detail in the buildings was pretty mind blowing Cute little statue *Flashback to Hotel Ling Bao at Phantasialand* I really want to go to actual China now. Must... Resist... Jokes... This area was really well done as well. China!
  4. YAY EPCOT! Ok now some of you will absolutely hate when I say I wasn't as impressed as I probably should have. That said, World Showcase was my second favorite Disney Florida property (right behind Animal Kingdom) and Future World definitely felt dated. We started off the morning freakin' early and went to have some breakfast before catching the Bus over to EPCOT. I really wasn't sure what to expect, but all I knew was that it was supposed to be extremely good. While I definitely wish I had more time at every park, what I did experience left a lot to be desired. We hit up Soarin' first, which was the same attraction I've been on a million times here at DCA, but a few in my group never did and they had the same reaction most people do and were in completely awestruck. We then rode Living with t he land which was way too long, and headed over to Spaceship Earth. Since it was my first time I never got to experience it before, but I liked what I did get to ride. The little video at the end was pretty funny especially with the goofy face I made. next up was Mission:Space which I loved. We did orange and it was much better then I was actually expecting. Then we headed over to Test Track which was ok, nothing to spectacular, but it makes me really excited for Carsland! A quick trip on Finding Nemo (which I did like better then the subs) and we got the theme song, "In the Big Blue World" at the end stuck in our heads. next was a trip into our imagination, and I'm really interested in seeing the other two incarnations of the ride. At that point World Showcase opened so it was off to Mexico to start our trip around the world! I liked the Mexico Pavilion and the ride was fun, I liked the song they played and the Margarita I got was surprisingly not as good as the Ritas you can get at DCA. Next up was Norway and one of the biggest disappointments of the trip, Maelstrom. I've been wanting to ride this since I was a kid watching Walt Disney World Inside Out (as well as a whole mess of other WDW rides some of which are now gone or changed) and while it was fun, it was a bit disappointing. I fell in love with China, and got to experience my first Circle-Vision movie. Over in Germany I had a great time just browsing the shop, and I wish Italy had a bigger pavilion. We didn't have much time to explore the US, as we had to be over in Canada by 4 for our reservations at Le Cellier, so we decided to just move on. We spent a lot of time over in Japan and I got some Hello Panda cookies (MMMMMMMM) and we watched Matsuriza (the Taiko drummer group) for a bit. We wandered past Morocco as some belly Dancers were having at it, and stopped in France for a bit to buy some wine by an amazingly hot guy (I had a picture, but it got lost somewhere). We passed by the UK and it made me miss Lou (our wedding is still on right?) and finally made it to Canada just in time for our reservation at 4. I'm really weird (if you haven't figured that out for yourself yet) and I'm not the biggest fan of steak or big cuts of meat like that, I don't like much sea food and can't handle really spicy things; I ended having a big plate of the kids macaroni and beef lol. I did have some Choup (Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup) so all was well. After Dinner, We headed over back to Future World to get some re-rides on Test rack and Mission Space and we rode Ellen, but she literally put me to sleep, that wench. Coming out very refreshed, we headed back to Canada to grab our viewing spot for Illuminations and I met up with a friend who works for Disney. We ended up taking a quick stroll around the World Showcase and I met back up with the other friends i was there with. I finally got to See illuminations after many many many years of highly anticipating (and memorizing the soundtrack) which wasn't as good as it could be (which I'm sure it was when it first debuted) but I'm so glad I got to see the inferno barge in person. After a long day at EPCOT it was back to the hotel to get some sleep. Next day would hold Disney's Hollywood Studios! Troika Troika Troika! Having a lot of ghetto people in my life this made me laugh! Hello Little guy! I would have been pissed if I had to wait any longer. One of my favorite buildings. Ooo Ooo I see something back there! This came out freaking awesome! VIKINGS! mmmm Fiesta Margarita, I even ordered ti in Spanish. I impress myself sometimes. Blue bayou-esque restaurant in the "dark" I was definitely a fan of how they did this Pavilion. Hola mi gente. oooo Mexico that's what I'm talking about! hi United States. Mmmmmmm Big Ball that's not blue. reverse waterfall WEEBO! "In the biiig bluueee woooorld" "Oh, let's name the zones, the zones, the zones. Let's name the zones of the open SEEEEAAAAA!" 'Ello Mine Mine Mine awwww they have a Hector sized dummy! Whoo Hoo no line! There we go, much better. Was a decent ride. The pre-show was boring though. fail... Please don't have an Aneurysm. Please don't have an Aneurysm. Please don't have an Aneurysm. Please don't have an Aneurysm. the movie was pretty meh, but the set was cool. freaking LOVED this ride. yeah, just got that right before they disappeared. Awesome mural Best. Sponsorship. EVER! eh, we got time and it's a ride. oh... no comment... First stop is Soarin' for the giant screen simulator virgins To boring. Didn't ride. me and a huge ball, glad there's not two... oooo pretty Oh, so that's what park we ended up at. FINALLY! or maybe not... Damn I love Disney Mickey got a facial They knew I was coming lol Los Tres Caballeros It was early + still recovering = Crooked picture This actually looks like something not at a Value resort t3h gh3y Damn that guy can blow. It almost looks like the wilderness Don't forget my name beotch! Funny enough, I stayed in the Broadway building at Disney's All-Star Music resort
  5. I guess it's kinda like a Rorschach test, and we all know what kind of results your giving. You just say that cause I give you eye candy lol. I would hate to meet a guy who could use that as that kind of ring... That's one of my favorite pictures only because of how weird it actually turned out. OK, so I have the pictures ready, I just don't have enough time today to post an update. I'm also doing something that's a little bit different and hopefully will go over well, at least it's taking up way more of my time then it should! Stay tuned!
  6. I love you Lou, let's get married on Mount Prometheus. 2010. GO. On a seriouser note (I'm tired and made a neologism, get over it!) I will definitely get an erection or pee my pants (maybe both at the same time) when I finally get to make it over to Tokyo Disney. Amazing trip report and thanks for posting pictures with people I know and actually enjoy in them.
  7. The pictures are still on Screamscape, just go through the main site and it's under the 4/28/08 12:10PM update. Scroll past The Simpson's stuff and there they are.
  8. OMG That was just pure awesome! I'll definitely be picking up a copy in a few weeks. Robb and Elissa, you both do great work witht he DVDs and that segment alone really captured the craziness that can go on in a TPR trip!
  9. ^^ I so would love to be there for that.
  10. I love the "Family" shot! Keep it going woman don't lose steam now!
  11. That was me buying yet another refill lol. thanks for the kind words (from you and everyone!) They're pretty much the same as the ones posted, just about five times as many lol, I'm a bigger camera whore with alcohol apparently. I can think of at least four people that would give you one for free lol. lol I only bought it cause it was on clearance and it has the stretchy rim ( no jokes please lol) but I've grown quite fond of the little bugger. Quick update on my 5th Day in Orlando, it was a trip back to Sea World to get the missing credit,s see some more animals and head over to Disney for the next four days! So after getting completely plastered at Universal the night before and not getting back to the hotel until around 3, it was up at 9 to get packed and checked out to start my day and transfer over to Disney's All-Star Music Resort. We started with a trip over to best buy for a new camera Battery for a friend and ended up eating at Whataburger for the first time, which tasted exactly like IN-N-Out to me and was heaven. We made our way over to Sea World again took another spin on Kraken (which still ranks like fourth or fifth on my floorless list), watched the Dolphin and whale show again (still didn't make any sense!) and I got my Shamu Express credit. During this time I also finally got to see my Sea Cows! The Manatee exhibit at San Diego's was closed when I went so this made up for it. The Alligator's was not an impressive exhibit compared to all the others parks I went around too). We headed over to Shamu's Happy Harbor and I got my Shamu Express credit and I also go to ride my first rockin' Tug. I also highly recommend the Jazzy Jellies which is a Zamperla Samba Tower, basically teacups (that can spin REALLY fast) that go up a tower. We headed out after that. My overall impression of Orlando's Sea World was that it did feel bigger then San Diego's, but San Diego's had a much nicer feel to it. SWSD felt much less corporate then Orlando and I'm pretty sure it all has to do with Orlando using the lagoon to create more of a traffic loop and central focal point that modern amusement parks try to use instead of the hub concept. I also feel like San Diego has better exhibits, like the money that Orlando uses to add new things, San Diego uses to spruce up old exhibits. Orlando is still a great park that can add a lot more then SD (Stupid Donna Frye!!) and I can't wait to visit again in the next few years as it grows some more. After a failed attempt at eating at Chuck E Cheese (and damn that's an expensive place to eat, I think it was like $30 for a large pizza or something ridiculous like that), we ended up at Denny's and sat at a penis shaped table with an awesome waitress who actually said the phrase "mouth orgasm" and some old guy with a dreadlocked bead wig on, who I think was either really drunk or literally a bit crazy. My Orlando friends then drove me to my new hotel where I was meeting other friends for some new Disney fun as it was my first trip to WDW and i took way more then enough pics there. Pardon the smaller update this time around, but the Disney pics (I averaged about 150 pics a day at WDW) should make up for it. Even if you';ve seen the park like a million times by now. Only part of the madness that happened at Denny's (and I was sober this night!) Pretty Much the whole ride ZOOOOOM this was the really awkward banked section of the ride Another Postcard! Sea Cow!! I love Manatees, they're so cute in a fat, lazy way lol. What a beautiful creature this is. The bird was pretty too lol. Stupid Sun! Postcard! These are VegasFish (Jellyfish I re-named cause it looks like they have neon lights chasing around their bodies) Here are the eels *blech* Kinda looks like a really High Def TV Above, Below, and all around, the sea encompasses those who Journey to Atlantis (was that corny enough? they should pay me to write this crap) Totally missed the gift shop/ Aquarium last time so we went in for a gander this time. i really liked how they pulled off the water and animals literally on every side of you. Baby Rays Mmmmm The closest thing to In-N-Out without being In-N-Out. I could feel my arteries clogging and I think I gained 2 pounds with that first bite. The Medium and Large cups at Whataburger
  12. ^I can totally imagine all of that! That video was amazing in so many ways and Kristen is beyond cute.
  13. Having been on both X and Baco, I can say that I had much better rides on X then I did on Baco. It really was the train on Baco too as the night rides were much more enjoyable then the day rides and I contribute it to not being able to see anything on baco at night. Intamin just needs to never make those types of trains again lol.
  14. ^It really does though, not so much now at Magic were they don't normally run at optimal efficiency, but it can make a huge difference between hitting interval or not and it's not the ones who just toss the shoes on the other side; it's more the ones who walk over, place their shoes down furthest from their seat, then walk back. Over time it really adds up.
  15. ^Apple's internet browser. Stick with Firefox (or my personal favorite Opera)
  16. Get AdAware and Spybot S&D. and stop surfing the porn!
  17. Oreo's are vegan, Who hate oreos??? Seriously though, while I enjoy my meat (*snicker*) I definitely feel for you guys. It's definitely not easy and while I don't agree with it, I'm definitely more then educated enough to know why some people do it and there are many different reasons which is why I do ask "why." I also know that quite a few very yummy things (like oreos, seriously) are Vegan thanks to a friend who tried to go Vegan and him directing me over to I can't believe it's vegan so I know a little better about the junk you can eat.
  18. ^My guess would be around 7-8 minutes per gig on the highest settings for the camcorder (it's the VIXIA HF10 correct Wes?) And that TV will probably run you about $70,000.
  19. BWUAHAHA That's an awesome pic Jon. Awesome TR Jaime, I really, really, really need to get over to that side of the country! Goliath looks like a blast.
  20. Awesome TR! It's already putting mine to shame, and I haven't even strated the WDW yet!
  21. Thanks for the kind words everyone, I'll get to my final thoughts on Sea World after the next update (with a few more pics from the park) but for right now, it's time for Universal Studios and Drunk Hector! So the only other time I've been in Florida was in April of 2005, and the only thing I managed to do out there was Universal for five days. It was buy two get three free so I figured why not and it made my flight cheaper even adding in extra hotel. So when it came time to plan out this trip, I figured I wouldn't be heartbroken if I missed Universal this time around as I would be back in Orlando possibly two more time this year. As luck would have it due to having amazingly awesome friends I managed to get an extra day at other theme parks in. Now the only new thing to me would be The High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride!â„¢ and the rest of the rides and attractions were all repeats. I basically ran around and did every major attraction at both parks all day later being joined by some other friends and we stayed for Mardi gras where today's performer would be Gretchen Wilson. I ended up having a bit too much Voodoo Juice, but I had the time of my life and came out with some interesting pictures, some of which will not be posted here lol. Onto some pics! "Do I make you Horny, yeah baby!" Thanks for reading (and hopefully laughing at least once! Sea World part 2 is up next then it's off to Disney!!) We went over to Pat O'Brien's where I discovered I lack a gag reflex sometimes I don't remember taking this picture but it's nice enough to include. Maybe he'd like a necklace of some sort. I'm sure I could find some beads he could earn at least. bye bye #4 I was taking a picture of the stage I swear I think that was like Voodoo Juice #3 This is the lovely lady that kept taking my money. Gretchen Wilson came on after the little parade they had I wasn't drinking yours I swear! Nicest guy you'll ever meet! Best Bart ever. I wanted a few of these books! it was fun inside, we looked around at all the cool junk they had for sale. Good to know. I was really excited to see this in person! He ran and got us some hats to wear, silly little guy. After riding ET, we stopped in the store and I found a new friend. We picked up some Tilt and headed to the parking structure (this was after we already parked, don't drink while driving kids) After a quick change of clothes, we decided to eat at Cici's again and I saw this right across the street. lovely looking establishment. After meeting up with some friends, it was off to Spiderman (not as amazing as people like to think but still pretty amazing, my #2 favorite attraction ever behind Disneyland's Indiana Jones) and I didn't realize I still had the galsses on until we were walking out of the park so I could change at my hotel. Me being a dork again This is me soaked, it doesn't look like it you say? That's because I'm literally wet everywhere, no dry spots at all. Did I mention it was a little chilly out? I love water rides, and I'll usually ride them if it's new or a favorite so of course I decide it would be a great idea to hope that I'm not "the one" that gets all the water. Oh dear lord, the cheerleaders were around, funny enough, they were there in April 2005 as well. Boo! I love Express pass so freaking much! I basically walked onto the back row while the rest of the ride had about an hour wait. Hulk ispretty meh overall though. Tic-tac-toe Joe was a pervert, in order to get the bottom middle square take a real good look where you have to rub. Not that I minded, but there were kids around! aww they got me A parents blessing, the Kid tiring section of the park This was a fun little ride. I probably won't ride it every time unless someone else wants to, but it was still fun YAY credit! (ok, not really, I do count ride credits though, not just coasters so it does still count) How about this one? I'm sure no one has ever seen this one! I wonder if anyone else has ever taken a picture that looks like this? Backside of Awesome, Sadly I missed Poseidon's this time around, but I had Templo del Fuego last summer so I'm good. If that guy on top doesn't say "Best theme park restaurantt" then I don't know what does get your good looks now before it becomes either Gryffindor or Slytherin (Not saying anything, just an obvious themeing choice to me) "How's it hanging?" "Low and to the left" Is that kinda like 69ing? For some coaster geeks it's the closest they'll come. HAHA you missed! I wonder how much longer these guys will be there I love me some Vekoma YAY new ride! IF I squint it feels like I'm back in Spain While I would have loved to have seen the show, I've heard it's basically the same one they have at the Venetian in Las Vegas which I saw last December so I'm good this time around.
  22. http://www.solarexpert.com/Shell/Aerial-Tour.html According to thos pics (near the bottom) it's actually on top of the station for Santa Monica West Coaster. http://www.mercurynews.com/weirdnews/ci_8935788 that article has a little more news on it. Apparently, the only thing actually being sold is the hub, not the base.
  23. wow it looks like a park finally has some shirts I'd be willing to buy!
  24. Damn those bears at the end were scary looking! Awesome trip report, I can't wait to get to the park (or that side of the country really) and check it out for myself.
