Weight Management Support/Enouragement thread

According to the scale at home today, I'm down to 246.2; using that scale two weeks ago, I was 247.6. I feel like I've hit some kind of plateau and I'm not sure how to get off it. I've been trying really hard to stick to my new eating habits, and I've done very well with not eating pastas and stuff lately.... and yet I don't seem to be losing very fast now. -
The official SDC page on Facebook posted a no-crowd walk-through of the whole queue. I'd say the theming is at least on par with Wildfire. I am loving EVERYTHING about this coaster. Not just the coaster, but the renovations to Valley Road and the awesome merch (the FB page posted pics of the inside of the new shop) and the excellent costumes on the ride operators... This stuff is right up my alley aesthetic/theme-wise. I love steampunk/clockpunk!

I'm at 251, so I didn't lose (or gain) at all in the last month like I was supposed to be aiming to do. But this last month has also seen a LOT of stress at home, broken sleep, and more, so my new eating habits slipped a bit. And then this last weekend we were out of town, so eating out was something that happened at least once a day while there. I'm on a new anxiety med now, though, so hopefully the sleep disturbances will decrease. I am determined to get back to my healthy eating habits with no cheating. A week or so ago, I tried out a recipe I found for riced cauliflower & broccoli with cheese, and it was SO good, so I'm gonna be working to add more of those veggies to my diet. -
Not listening to music right now, but I've got "Mr Blue Sky" by ELO stuck in my head on a loop. My mom and I have been doing a Marvel movie watch-through, and only got 20min into Guardians 2 before having to stop the other day.... so the opening sequence/song is what's stuck in my head, lol.

Late last year, I finally got in to be tested for PCOS (PolyCystic Ovarian Syndrome), and sure enough, I've got it. So my OBGYN put me on Spironolactone and Metformin. The Spiro is to help slow down my excessive facial hair growth and acne, and the Metformin to prevent me from developing diabetes, which is very common for PCOS sufferers. He had to take me off the Metformin because my IBS made the side effects even worse than for others (my mom's on Metformin and not having any side effects). So, instead of taking the Metformin, he told me to do a food diary and bring it with me the next time I saw him. That was the start of my journey to a healthier eating style. I've completely cut sodas out of my life (except for the occasional no-sugar soda, but it's very occasional because very few diet sodas taste good to me). Instead of hydrating myself with four 16.9oz bottles of Lipton Citrus Green Tea each day, I'm now drinking Nestle Pure Life water (I can't handle my town's tap; I can't wait to move back to Independence, MO, where the tap tastes SO good) and supplementing with Powerade Zero. Instead of eating Hot Pockets and Totino's pizza rolls, I'm eating a simple sandwich for lunch and then either a bowl of lower-sugar cereal for dinner, or whatever my mom's made, depending on if it's something I like. We're gonna start adding cauliflower and broccoli to my menu; I tried a frozen mashed cauliflower dinner the other day and it was REALLY good. So, basically, the aim is to consume so few carbs a day that my body starts producing ketones and burning fat instead of carbs. Also, the Spiro also works as a diuretic and helps lower blood pressure. So, with all these changes, I've gone from 275-ish to 250. I'm now officially below the weight I was when I started at college in 2009. I've even had to buy a new package of underwear because I needed a size smaller! And my blood pressure is excellent, and yeah. Now I've just gotta get back in touch with my rheumatologist to figure out a solution to my fibromyalgia pain. She put me on Lyrica, but it spiked my blood pressure and pulse and caused super painful edema in my legs, so my PCP took me off it. I'll check in my weight whenever I get weighed at either my PCP or my obgyn; that's basically the only time I weigh. My mom's scales here at home just don't work as well as the doctor's scales. -

Now that I understand that I'm supposed to drag up above that line, my drag'n'drop is working as is the saving of my rankings. I'm using Opera on Windows 7. -
Well, I mean, it was about Branson at least; I thought maybe mentioning Branson in general might help steer things back to SDC in specific. The most recent updates I've seen/heard about are the demolition of that food stand. I can't wait to see what that area looks like come March! PS: My name is actually Joy, but that's okay; I've had people call me Tina many times because of my username.

In an attempt to bring things at least a little bit back on topic... Speaking of small airports, I flew out of the Branson airport in 2012, and I was absolutely charmed by that tiny place! It was like a mini-Bass Pro shop inside, and there was basically just one gate. We had to go out on the tarmac and use one of those mobile stairsets to board. I kinda wish more airports would do theming. It felt so inviting!

I watched a video today that reviewed The Edison, but the person also showed the interior of Maria & Enzo's, and my immediate thought upon seeing the interior was, "OMG, it's Rapture!" Someday I will absolutely make it back to Florida and check out all these new places at Disney Springs; the food looks amazing!

I got a $25 Amazon gift card for Christmas, so I bought myself a 12th Doctor Sonic Screwdriver keychain; a Funko Pop Loki keychain; and a Funko Pop of Elizabeth from Bioshock: Infinite.

It's 9am here and it's -1 degree. I had to sleep on the couch last night because our living room is the only room in this old house that actually gets warm and stays warm through the night. Not my ideal sleeping situation, since my stepdad gets up super early, but needs must. -

For Christmas this year, is Dollywood doing the "After 3, Next Day Free" thing? If so, does it start at a different time of day than 3pm? My friend is hoping to go to DW and would be wanting to go one afternoon/evening and then for half a day the next day. -

I am SO jealous right now. I've been obsessed with Miniatur Wunderland for several years now, ever since my German professor in college showed us a video from their youtube channel. I've been following that channel ever since. Miniatures are one of my Special Interests, as is airplanes/flying, so their videos about the airport are particularly awesome for me. Miniatur Wunderland is definitely on my bucket list of places to visit. This is a great TR so far! I'm loving all the photos! Germany is such a beautiful country! -
