Great TR as always! I must also have a really bad case of ADD too, or it's just a tribute to the incredible designers. Been riding POTC for the last 37yrs, still such an amazing ride, still find myself noticing some small details that I hadn't seen (or just not noticed) before. The ride just doesn't get old for me, always leaves me in awe every single time, even after all these years!

It's location is so ugly! I used to love to look at pictures of Revolution because of where it was placed and how nicely it used the terrian. Now every decent picture of Revolutions loop has an eye sore in the background. Yeah it's a mess alright, a big beautiful mess of awesome bright B&M track! I actually applaud SFMM for choosing that hillside location, the stunning visuals while on Tatsu are far and away the best of any flyer, and some of the most incredible of any coaster! And if you haven't actually seen it in person for yourself, the giant soaring bright pretzel loop and helix towering over the entrance plaza is a much more spectacular visual and impressive park entrance than the 31yr old outdated sit down single looper was. As far as ruining Revy, IMO SFMM took care of that long ago. The ride is a pale castrated shadow of the incredible coaster it once was, sitting rusted up, faded and neglected for years, only recently receiving any TLC ONLY because of Tatsu being built around it. Loosing that view is actually the least of the atrocities committed to that coaster by SFMM, so I gladly give up that view of a now mediocre coaster for the total complete awesomeness that is Tatsu!

I think it's meant as creatures of the sky, not literally sky itself. Like the far back of the park with the four legged critters will the the Land area, then the middle with all the water critters will be the Sea area.

^ Personally I think it's a great idea. Leaves lots of great opportunities for theming open, all sorts of different kinds of flying creatures, both real and mythical, that can now be used for ride themes.

^ considering Medusa's parking lot setting, any theming is a welcome change. That's the one I'm looking forward to the most,

Screamscape confirmed the announcement next Wednesday. But here's the cool part for now, they'll announce the new theme for the park: Sea, Land and Sky! The front of the park with no animals will obviously be the Sky area, so going by those cool new colors on V2, just for fun I'm calling DragonFire or Fire Dragon as the new name/theme.

Interesting how on this mornings confernece call, although Shapiro made the point more than once emphasizing that SFMM will be kept in the chain, it was always followed by the words "for now". And his BS about SF realizing that it should be kept in the family, more like no one else wanted to inherit the mess for the price they were asking, "for now".

True (not that I would know! 8) ), still wouldn't want to be the clean up guy for this ride. With all that spinning, would be a pain to hose everything down! (wait, there's no plumbing out there, so I guess just air dry? ).

^ They appear to be a park management company, sorta like how SF only manages SFMW and Paramount/CF only manages Bonfante Gardens, they don't own, only hired to manage. I assume once the debt is paid off to CNL they'll outright own these parks.

^ also probably makes this the most interesting SLC ever built with all the interaction. Same reason Disney themes the hell outta their standard sit down family coasters, othewise they'd be just small boring gentle turns and drops instead of the fun crowd-pleasing park favorites that they are.

Before anyone jumps for joy about this sale, just try to find a website for this PARC in Jacksonville, FL. No website exist! They're obviously not a park operator, and a land devloper buying parks is never a good sign. Pretty high I imagine considering a majority of the attendees at this particular event are guaranteed to be on one or more mind altering substances .

^ Thanks for the video, just need the jackhammering to the spine and it's just like being on the POS! From the story I heard, KECO wanted a family friendly version for PGA, and this modified version of PKD's Grizzly is what we got stuck with, stupid KECO! At the media opening for Grizzly, ACE'rs gave such bad reviews to the press, ACE was banned from all future media openings until Top Gun opened.

Thats why KECO built the Scooby Doo's at all their other parks for, for the kiddies. Don't understand why they didn't do that for PGA too and build some decent wood for the rest of us. If PGA had other good wood I wouldn't care, but having this useless pile as the sole big wooden coaster in the park only serves to widen the already huge void in PGA's quality coaster offerings. Sure hope CF is smarter than past management has been and finally does what should have been done long ago to this pointless POS (PGA already has more than enough kiddie rides).

^^^ Yeah, didn't realize speculating was also against the TOS. Sad as it is, this is all we got going. Even with all our parks, will be 6 long yrs now since the last permanent new major coaster opened in any NorCal park. So unfortunately, yeah this is a big deal .

Now I don't feel so bad paying $70 for my SFMW pass! And I think the higher renewal price was just a error, SFMW's website orignally said the same thing, $10 more to renew. Only lasted a few days before the website was updated and now has the same price for both.

True I can't fault them for their belief, but I can absolutely fault them for unquestionably believing in a book written and re-written by man hundreds if not thousands of times over the centuries, picking and choosing only what they want out of it to validate their own personal agenda, all while unquestionably condeming anyone who doesn't agree with them.
