When in doubt, call the park! I'm not sure how much that would help... but Robb - with a rep that you have I'm sure they'd tell you.

Coasters with high G's
Golfie replied to martinb's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I just did an inquiry based research project on this.... at 6 g's, you could black out :O ^ However, if it's only for a split second, that won't do much. When you drop into a chair, you pull about 10.8 g's - food for thought! -

Most ride ops on one coaster?
Golfie replied to jALIg's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
On Gwazi at BGA, there were about 3-4 people in the building looking at the station and about 6 people checking the restraints/operating the ride. -

Geschwindigkeit Zug (NL)
Golfie posted a topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Geschwindigkeit Zug - Speed Course in English is a new Intamin Rocket Coaster designed by Adrenalyne design. This ride features a 0-80 MPH launch up a 200 foot top hat and then a high speed crash course through ejector air hills and crazily overbanked turns. The second Ejector-air hill of Geschwindigkeit Zug Geschwindigkeit Zug.nltrack Enjoy! -
That ride is AMAZING! Not only is it a great design, but the detail on the supports are breathtaking. I hereby name you king of supports! 10/10

Raging Bull?
Golfie replied to BrownStreak's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
I've made it in RCT3... but not RCT2 - it would be tough to make it in RCT2 because of all the overbanked turns. -
Are there any parks open in the winter?
Golfie replied to Jumboshrmp's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think that if conditions are right, Mt. Olympus in WI Dells has one woodie running. -
There's one just like it at SFGAm called Ricochet... I'm not sure what this one's called, though.

Worst Arrow coaster
Golfie replied to CP_fan_boy's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've only been on two arrow coasters: Demon @ Six Flags Great America Python @ Busch Gardens Africa I'd have to say that Python was the worst. It has a really rough double corkscrew (but what arrow coaster doesn't?) The only thing that saves Demon is its suprisingly smooth first drop and double loops. However, Demon at SFGAm has BRUTAL corkscrews. The trick is to keep your head pushed up against the back of the headrest, but at the bottom of the second hill, your head flies forward and it's nearly IMPOSSIBLE to get your head back. -
Favorite Restrants.
Golfie replied to IwantRevenge's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I like: B&M Hypertwister Restraints Huss OTSR's (on their disk rides) B&M Inverted Restraints (kind of) B&M Flying Coaster Restraints (comfy!) I don't like: B&M Inverted Restraints (you can't put your hands up!) Arrow OTSR's -
Best (and worst) "Sounds" on a coaster
Golfie replied to Jon Sabo's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think we can all agree that everyone loves the B&M roar I also like the sound of an Intamin ride Launching -
Most Disappointing Coaster!
Golfie replied to Beate's Freak's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
So kill me for saying this, but... Raging Bull This is because it had little airtime (which a good Hyper Twister should have, IMO) and... yeah. I'm not saying that it's a bad coaster - the overbanks are REALLY fun! However, there's almost no airtime. If they just got rid of the fin brakes on the second hill, the ride would be a LOT more fun! -
Best (and worst) "Sounds" on a coaster
Golfie replied to Jon Sabo's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I love the sounds of Arrow brake runs and the B&M roar - also when they make the faint "clackity-clack" sound at the bottom of high hills. The sound I don't like is the constant "BANG! BANG! BANG!" of an old ride when it goes through turns... it freaks me out. -

Thanks! I'll probably have a few more SFGAm photo updates later this year, so keep an eye out! We usually always go on the carousel... I don't know why we didn't this time. I was going to say something when we were leaving, but we were all starving (we left the park at dinner time because we got everything done that we wanted to do) even on superman, I was STARVING. -
Funniest Ride Experiences
Golfie replied to Coasters 4 ever's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
When we were riding Superman: Ultimate Flight, the people infront of us had bare feet and they just went swimming so their feet were really pruney. We were laughing all the way up the hill. -

I'll probably be getting some extras from SFGAm this year - I already have one that's in mint condition. We left it in the car so it didn't get wrinkled or folded. I'll let'cha know if I get more.
