  1. The massive new B&M wing coaster at Wanda City in the Chinese city of Wuxi has gone vertical. It seems the light blue and beige track seen at the B&M plant was not for Toverland after all.
  2. And look what's popped up at the B&M plant Full sized yellow dive machine track. Source
  3. Proper layout and some more pictures of the now complete ride http://www.zamperla.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/ZPL333_Zpress_June_WEB2.pdf
  4. So 8 years after the announcement it looks like this may happen http://www.zamperla.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/ZPL333_Zpress_June_WEB2.pdf The latest Z Press news letter from Zamperla says they've sold a Thunderbolt to Mason Robotland South Korea opening next year. Perhaps it is back on.
  5. The red track has started to arrive at the Colourful Yunnan Project in China for their wing coaster http://www.guoshanchemi.club/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=183&extra=page%3D1
  6. Want to see a POV of Soaring Wings? Of course you do. Afraid as its QQ video not youtube you will have to click the link https://v.qq.com/x/page/d0524wkjrs9.html
  7. The park has announced the ride will be built by " a world-renowned roller coaster manufacturer in Switzerland," which thankfully rules out both Golden Horse and Zamperla and pretty much confirms it's a B&M ride. http://news.joins.com/article/21733943 Also we have a new promo image.
  8. it has indeed and heres some shots from opening. The GCI is now Jungle Flying Dragon and the B&M Soaring Wings. I do really like the look of that GCI though. Interesting layout.
  9. In some big news for the Chinese amusement industry Wanda is selling its theme park buisness to Sunac China for $9.3 Billion https://www.ft.com/content/d3502eaa-652d-11e7-8526-7b38dcaef614 http://www.cnbc.com/2017/07/10/chinas-wanda-steps-back-from-theme-park-hotel-drive-with-9-point-3-bln-sunac-deal.html Quite what this actually means for the existing parks and the 9 currently under construction I don't really know. it sort of sounds like they will be still using the Wanda brand but owned by a 3rd party? Finance and property is not my strong point. I suspect this all may have something to do with this recent article about being in a spot of bother with the Chinese government. http://asia.nikkei.com/Business/Companies/Wanda-opens-indoor-ski-park-in-northeastern-China
  10. An update from Roller Coaster Master shows the new Premier Rides Sky Rocket II coaster going up. http://www.guoshanchemi.club/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=161&extra=page%3D1&page=3
  11. Another day. Another spinner all in the life of an enthusiast in China. Have you managed to ride any of the new Golden Horse rides?
  12. Drop Track on a Chinese ride... GH (I believe that is who made this) are really moving forwards fast. Their new inverts are going down well apparently. The tilt track rides are apparently poor but at least they are trying. Give it a few years and id say GH will be a viable alternative to the cheaper ride builders out there.
  13. Looks like the B&M Dive Machine is finally going up. Big fan of those colours.
  14. Word on the street so to speak is this will be vekoma rather than B&M and is in fact what that weird prototype system they've had at the Vekoma factory for ages is for. Obviously this isn't confirmed by the park yet but seems plausible to me at least.
  15. If it is Golden Horse and similar but not the same as a Dive Machine I don't think B&M could do too much (Even if it was identical perhaps) and to be fair B&M have done pretty much the same thing by knocking off the Vekoma SFC. However I actually agree with Garet here. Zamperla have announced a new Thunderbolt for South Korea and the other 2 rides this park have announced are both Zamperla flat rides. I wouldn't be surprised at all of this turns out to be that Thunderbolt.
  16. I'm imagining like me you are tired of those darn spinners by now. Every little city park seems to have one. Looking at the car and restraints on this one it seems to be missing the chains that a lot of them have. Always wondered why they were a thing. As far as little city parks go this seems like one of the nicer and better maintained ones.
  17. Jeju Shinhwa World is part of the new Resorts World Jeju Project currently going up on the South Korean Island of Jeju. The theme park will have a legends and myths theme overall with areas called Medieval Kingdom, Olympus, Persian Dynasty, The East and Oscars New World. The Overall resort features a water park, casinos, hotels and a theme park much like Resorts World in Singapore but this time without Universal Studios. The park itself is under construction already and it appears there is already a fully built Mack Spinner on site. The coaster appears to be a clone of Turbulence at Adventureland with a slightly modified station layout. The theme park itself isn't due to open until 2019 however. 18. Fantawild have announced a new resort for Changsha in China. The park is already well under construction and will be the home of a new Vekoma Hyper Space coaster. Basically an extended non launched version of Formula 1 and Energylandia. Strangely the resort is not that far from the existing parks in Zhuzhou.
  19. The Schwarzkopf Silver Arrow previously at Loudoun Castle as Twist And Shout has shown up on site with a shiny new colour scheme. Interestingly its almost identical to the colour scheme it had when it started its life at Ocean Beach Park over 30 years ago. 20. Some drone shots from the park including the Mega-Lite and that weird Test Track thing Plenty more here although you may need an account to see some of them
  21. its certainly has some funky curves. The first inversion is now up and the lift hill has all it's track.
  22. Testing on the GCI has begun. No sign of the B&M yet
  23. https://www.vekoma.com/index.php/col1/production-facilities For track fabrication Vekoma use both a Huisman Konstrukte facility in Czech Republic and a different facility in Slovakia. They also use Huisman outside of Xiamen in China for their installations in that part of the world. I'd imagine this came from either the Czech Republic or Slovakia.
