  1. ^Here you go. I would call it a bad photoshop job, but that is just about what it will look like.
  2. Season Passes will still be good those parks until Dec. 31, 2007.
  3. If you check my post history, you'll notice that the last thing I would do is defend an employee on a cell phone. However, the ODV employees (especially the out of park vendors) have no way to communicate with their supervisors than by a phone. Yes, I believe that the supervisors should be making rounds more often to prevent running out of stock, but this isn't a perfect world. The picture shows the employee smiling and enjoying the conversation, but there is a slight posiblity he is in contact with a supervisor.
  4. ^Not suprising... It is a safety issue, and guests don't need to see in the backstage areas.
  5. I believe the won "merchandise", and "more merchandise". I was there too, and it is great to see some of the other challenges that I didn't get to do. My team finished 9 out of 10 challenges, and placed 93 out of 364. The toughest challenge for us was the "flight school"; it was out of a bad nightmare. It was like you were late for a final, didn't study for it, and was being quizzed publically in front of the whole class! My few pictures didn't turn out anywhere as good as Jahan's, I was too busy solving puzzles. I too had a GREAT time. I always enjoy things that are a bit out of the norm in DCA at the DLR, not going into DLP, with a bunch of CM's, and not having any rides going 101.... (If you were there, you would understand.)
  6. ^Let me guess... understaffed, only a few characters, mediocre food, and just at a higher price?
  7. There was a lot of work over night on the mystery planters. Still not certain, but my guess is they are indeed for "billboards", most likely signs with "The Guests Code of Conduct."
  8. On Monday the nemo walls came down, and today the Johnny walls came down! Here are some picture; this was a bit rushed as I am also working on my final projects. No captions, self explanitory, new character meet and greet location signs (they will soon install time wheels, and two new random planters (no clue what they are for.) Enjoy (or at least try.)
  9. [quote= Scream is running one train and the other two trains are no were to be found. There is a disassembled train backstage, recieving a buff and paint job for all seat pads, as well as general maintenece.
  10. The more trip reports, the better. Everyone focuses on different aspects of the park, different things are more important to different people. You should really post a trip report! I don't believe that the seating is being replaced at Chicken Plantation or anywhere else in the park. As long as I have a clean surface in the park to park my butt on, I really don't care how old it is. The Warner Brothers Kids Club stage had a paint job last month. Fresher's Lemonade however, is just a dump! It still has a "B" rating, and last weekend there were 12 people in line! Couldn't believe they would still go with a "B"! My money is used best at MM when using the waterbombs; most satisfying use of my money as well.
  11. I still believe that half of the world still think MM is closing. I wear a Tatsu jacket all the time, and people always ask if Magic Mountain is closed yet. Half of the battle seems to be getting the word out that Magic Mountain is still open. They have been doing a good job with the commericals I see locally, they are on all the time! It's not bad.
  12. I agree with the paint. Even if it is out of touch with its surroundings. Chicken Plantation is listed under Six Flags Plaza on the Park Map. The reason they are using Chicken Plantation, is to try to bring life to a restaurant that otherwise would have little appeal. Instead of trying to incorporate it somehow to the dining locations in Movie District and Gotham City Backlot. Gotham City Backlot: Hmm...Pizza Vector, which has already been taken over by Papa John's. Corn Corner, that would be a corny meet and greet. And the Freshers Lemonade, nothing says superhero like a nice tall refreshing glass of frozen lemon flavored ice in a bag. Movie District: Eduardo's Grill, has a movie tie in, but only has a few outdoor seats in front, and a few seats out back, not enough room for a private meet and greet area for guests. More Fresher's Lemonade. I see only Waterfront being a feasable option, but then it is so close to where the Batman Begins Stunt Show is going to take place. The goal is trying to make the dinning experience similar to the Character Breakfast at Plaza Inn at Disneyland. The only way to have the characters come to you is through purchasing the buffet. Same with Brunch with Bugs. We'll see how it goes.
  13. Here is another (not-so-thumbnail-size) food update, and a few extra things. Enjoy Let's start with the bad, and work our way to the good. "Just because guests pay $60, I don't care if I pig out in front of them. One last look. Stay tuned for more, later this week. Or Superman Colors. Which is great, becuase you won't be able to meet Superman. The red, blue, and yellow seem a bit bright. On the other side of the park, work continues of Chicken Plantation's Extereme Makeover: Sesamie Street Edition...I mean...Superhero Edition. Not much has changed inside. IN RESTAURANT NEWS: (for Jahan) work continues on Carousel Grill's Extreme Makeover: Rocket Edition. Rehersals for this season started on Monday. Here you see a stuntman preparing for a 30 foot high fall. A press release photo, showing the ACTUAL sliding motion of the Backdrop Door! Yeah! See what I mean! Actually, they built a sliding door for The Tumber (Batmobile) to exit after the show, for a Batman Meet-and-Greet after each performance. That's as good as the landscaping is going to get. But it's nice. More Marvel Comics midway prizes.
  14. I'll have pictures up tomorrow on the progress. Pictures from Tuesday afternoon.
  15. ^ Playpass is a tossup as to its location on a daily basis. Walking through the park today, and well...um was suprised to say the least. I'll let the picture below talk for itself. ( I erased the numbers so there wouldn't be an influx of calls from the nubmer being posted online.) (Guy, it was nice meeting you today!) um....i uh....well..... Wait....what does that say?
  16. New food location updates: Boungusto window paper is now down, giving us a small view into the almost complete Coldstone. Carousel Grill now has a wall up, for a transformation to Johnny Rockets.
  17. There are a 3 picnic events and a cheer/drill competition.
  18. Actually, I think it won't be more crowded than Halleluyah Saturday last weekend. The 1st overflow was almost full.
  19. Pictures are definatly a HUGE plus! Readers are able to make a visual connection as to what you are writting about.
  20. It was called crazy barrels. The only thing remaining in the turn table and the control panel. It is behind Carousel Grill in Center Ring Games.
  21. It was indeed a part of the lift mechanism which broke. Apparently the part in enroute at should be at the park with in the next few days. Not sure how quickly it can be up after the park arrives... We shall see.
  22. But matterhorn is ALOT OF FUN in the rain!
  23. Here is a picture of the train as of 7:15 this evening. It was in that same position as of 12:00 noon today, not sure if from the day before.
