  1. #61 William wrs28330 Big Mike certainly is TPR's friendliest guy!
  2. Possibly. Another Scavenger Hunt Coordinator cleaned up all of the supplies. I will ask the other Coordinator if we still have the score sheet. If we still have it, I will be sure to post it in this thread.
  3. Here are some of my pictures from Sunday. Enjoy! Participants pick out their WCB 2009 souvenier! As I stated before: If you thought this year was great, just wait until WCB 2010! The most spry octogenarian I know! WCB takes over Magic Moments Theater. Team 22 (A quick thank you to my fellow Hosts and Hostesses who assisted with the scavenger hunt: Lindsay, Brandon, and the Guest Relations staff.) Team 13 Team 06 Team 21 Team 07 Team 09 Team 14 received the distiction of most spirited! Team 14 Team 05 Team 05 heads toward Magic Moments Theater. Team 15 Team 12 Team 08 The next group of photos are team photos. I was able to take team photos when there were only a few teams returning at once. Team 16 Team 06 finds Dangerous Bill. Team 22 stayed in the picnic area to complete all the puzzles before heading out into the park. They hoped to solve all the quests with only one trip around the park. Teams look over the 25-question SFMM trivia page before the Scavenger Hunt. Hail OR Robb sized dandruf... ...you decide. Would you like some hail with your BBQ beef? Tim Burkhart shows his newest baby to park guests for the first time. Entering the Terminator Salvation: The Ride backstage area. So THAT is what 180 dozen donuts looks like! Katy's Kettle served as a midpoint for the morning action. Why yes! This IS where you check-in! It's BIG MIKE!!!!!!!!!!! Al and pals from AZ show off their WCB badges. And their off! All 700 WCB participants wait to start the day!
  4. Thank you to everyone who attended WCB 2009! We hope you all had as much fun participating as we did creating the event. For those of you who are interested, I will be posting the answers to the quests in the blue packets sometime this week. In addition, I will eventually take several photos to show you exactly where the Martin J. Jaska plaque is located. We attempted to focus the game around theme that couldn't be altered, and we didn't anticipate park guests moving trash cans to affect other teams. (If we have a scavenger hunt next year, we will ensure that nothing can be covered.) I will also post some photos from the opposite angles of event photos you may have; such as 700 people waiting outside the gate shot from INSIDE the gate. It was wonderful to meet so many of you at the event, and I thank all of you who gave such wonderful feedback for all aspects of the event. And if you though this event was great.... ....just wait to see what we have in store for next year! ~William
  5. Six Flags Magic Mountain March 7th Update Enjoy this lengthy lap around the park! ~William Time is ticking closer to West Coast Bash! I will see you there! Say "hello" to your new brother! A few more shots from Cyclone Bay. The popsicle sticks slowly decrease in numbers. Work on the entrance bridge continues. Not much change here, as they still need room for equipment. The turn around at the top of the lift is complete. Okay, here is what you really care about. Bugs Bunny and..... ugh. Chain on display. You never know what to expect when you visit the Sky Tower. Here is a new-ish display board with the construction of the tower. I'm not to sure if you can purchase Dippin' Dots at this location. Los Cuates has received an outer face lift with some shade. A new court floor has been installed. Nice crowd at 3 Point Challenge! Swashbuckler has reopend and is showing of its new paint in the sunlight. Log Jammer, and the soon to be reopened Tidal Wave have new water blasters. It only cost $.25 a blast, and it certainly lives up to its name. This month's Six Flags Friends Foundation. It was a beautiful day at the park. On to the rest of the park! The trashcans' families have stop coming to the park, so they now sport this new message. Many guests took advantage of the first day of this new Flashpass system. Ooohhhh! Educational. Genisis was a very inviting hostess. "Step into my lier! Bwah, ha, ha!" Beyond these doors is the Hall of Justice! Today's prices and choice of rides. Part of the Locker building. Some signage changes. Flashpasses have moved to... "Do you like my shimmer curtain?" Mr. Six has now been back for two weeks and is loving life after retirement!
  6. Just a reminder to come visit the Job Fair this weekend in the East Picnic Pavilion from park opening til the late after noon. Even if you aren't necessarily interested in employment, there are some fun things to see and do!
  7. A gentleman on youtube soughtout to recreate the new X2 audio himself. Below is a link to the youtube video. Once there, he invites people do download his recreation.
  8. The fires are pretty much out. Everything in the general SFMM area is fine.
  9. Quite the opposite. It is normally one of the least crowded days.
  10. I base that on the fact that both sides don't always take the same amount of time to load. ...and yes, Backwards typically has a longer wait time than Forward.
  11. Remember that racing trains will slow down dispatch times.
  12. Crowd expectations: The 18th is a Saturday in the middle of October. If we go off of last year it will be packed! However, this would be the perfect day to see the Heckles and Twitch Show, visit the walk around areas, and hit up any of the smaller coasters or flat rides. The 19th will be less crowded than the 18th. This would be the time to hit the big coasters. Hope this helps. Enjoy your trip.
  13. Sorry, Tim has nothing to do with the creation of the Fright Fest storyline. The credit goes to 2 Supervisors in the Entertainment Department. I think he's making a joke from when Tim called him "Johan" on the WCB tours! --Robb Ah ha, an inside joke. My mistake.
  14. Sorry, Tim has nothing to do with the creation of the Fright Fest storyline. The credit goes to 2 Supervisors in the Entertainment Department.
  15. As promised, here is some more pictures of the artsy stuff. Enjoy, William
  16. There will still be a $5 wristband needed to experience the 5 Fright Fest Mazes. I know the wording/phrasing is confusing, it is for me too. I guess they are referring to Fright Fest as an event in the park in reference to being different from the daytime festivities. They are reinforcing the fact that MM doesn't close the park and reopen it for the nighttime event. Hope that helps.
  17. I'm not really a beer person, but I think next time i might do some wine tasting. It is interesting to hear what other people find the most interesting at the fairs.
  18. That porter potty by the Heckles and Twitch Stage is my contribution to our future "Super Bathrooms". Just doing my part!
  19. There were many really cool craft things to see. I'll post some more of those with the next day or two. It would be worth a heart attack.
  20. ...hence why his horse didn't win
  21. Glad I could be of assistance. No oreos, watching my figure! Thanks everyone for the feedback.
  22. Glad to hear you had a good time! I'll be going soon. Did it feel like the first day of the event? Meaning were maze operations smooth, were the maze characters bored or really motivated?
