  2. I truly understand your disappointment, but I can only imagine the shear volume of emails that they received. There were many varialbes that went into their descisions, I'm sure. Jody is the coordinator. Awesome that there will be many TPR folks! I will be there all week long; I'll be sure to say "hi"!
  3. To further clarify the offer details for the first Funatics reward: "One Skip the Line Pass is good for the Season Passholder and one friend on the ride of their choice. *Not valid for upcharge attractions."
  4. Totally agree! Being a school day, they wouldn't want school age kids present because they would need an on-set tutor. As far as non-school age kids like KT, even though a parent would be there to sign any liability forms, they are only looking for "extras". This entire call is for "extras". Meaning, the have any principle actors they will need already casted. Little kids wouldn't *necessarily* stand out or be visible in a crowd full of extras. Look on the bright side: At least KT can participate in the "give a day, get a day" promotion. ....oh wait.... ...never mind...
  5. According to this link: http://www.sixflags.com/national/footerNav/enews.aspx ...one of the rewards is a "skip the line pass". I believe that after your first visit, you will be emailed a voucher to be redeemed at Guest Relations where you will be given a pass to skip to the front of the line for one ride. Screamscape is incorrect. Shocker!!!!

  7. Does Tower of Terror allow guests to skip the library preshow when elevators are half empty?
  8. 2009 / 2010 Rock n' Ride! Six Flags Magic Mountain The 2nd Rock n' Ride event at Six Flags Magic Mountain was an amazing event offering Guests a safe and sober New Years celebration. A fireworks show and a countdown on the park's centerpiece, the Sky Tower offered one of the most unique countdown celebrations on the West Coast! Six Flags Magic Mountain is now the "place to be" to ride in the new year! [coastertube]http://www.themeparkreview.com/coastertube/play.php?vid=2010_Countdown_kocx[/coastertube] Happy New Year! Enjoy some pictures from the event as well! See you at Rock n' Ride 2010/2011! "Why thank you Coca-Cola! These are quite refreshing!" ..or Coke Zero! Take your pick! IT'S FREE! ...or Diet Coke! Free Coca-Cola for everyone! Several dancers accompanied Mr. Six and the Looney Tunes characters in entertaining the energetic crowd. Tweety shows the crowd how to shake a tail feather. The official countdown clock. ...and Karaoke were also part of the festivities. The Beatles Rock Band... Song Request: Water, Water, Everywhere THX! LOL! The growing crowd dances the night away! The Justice League fights crime, even on New Years Eve. Six Flags style? Yes please! Welcome to Rock n' Ride!
  9. ^ ,,,here comes the Jeff Johnson joke... ...any minute now...
  10. Grinchmas 2009 Media Day Twas’ an unsmoggy day, near Downtown LA, so the Studio invited us to come down and play! A silly young man, and his young brother too, brought their cameras to share the festivites with you. The building facades were covered with snow, as Grinchmas would start in a few days, or so. Several banners were hung, there were cut-outs for tots, and a new Whoville tree, in the large Upper Lot. The stage was all set, the kids were imported, “We will quickly get started!” the Mayor retorted. The Grinch burst onto the scene, and was issued two fines, when Sherriff Lee Baca realized he had forgotten his lines! The Mayor then used the classic two-finger point, while the Policeman still wanted to lock the Grinch in the joint. Cindy Lou Who was sad, she just wanted to read, so the Grinch said: “Just this once, I might do a good deed!” The Whobilation continued, and confetti went: BANG! Max the dog barked, while every Who sang. Then chaos ensued, as the kids played in snow, and they talked to a stranger they didn’t quite know. The Mayor was proud of his big Christmas Tree, “Snow is NOT fun; rid your faces of all that glee!” A visit from Dec.19th-31st would be nice, and be sure to buy tons of Grinchy merchandise! Backlot Tour Update Despite the Media Day for the "Reopening of Courthouse Sqaure" a few months ago, Courthouse Sqaure is still closed to trams, as construction continues in the surrounding areas. As you may know, King Kong will return to the Backlot Tour in Summer 2010, in a brand new building as: King Kong 360 3-D. You can see where the new attraction is being built in reference to the collapsing bridge. Guests will disembark the trams to visit all the Whos down in Whoville. "See you at Grinchmas!" Remember: Beetlejuice is the reason for the season!
  11. Website will be updated tomorrow. FF will end on Saturday, and will NOT be occuring on Sunday.
  12. "We're holding them back!" may instead be "There's a hole in the track!" .
  13. No video footage. But expect lots, and lots of sexy pictures!
  14. Yes, both mazes reside in the warehouse used for Brutal Planet in past years. This was the "more information will be released shorty" I was waiting for. Both mazes are taking shape nicely. ...and yours truly will be a Walk-around clown in Gotham City Backlot this year.
  15. Did I read that correctly or am I just imagining that they are adding Halloween stuff to Scream? The park places concert style speakers throughout the footprint of the ride, so at key moments you hear music blasting.
  16. Please read more into the quote below than you may have during your first read.
  17. The event is from 4pm - 10pm. The latest Season Passholders will be admitted in one hour before park closing. (9pm.) Have fun!
  18. Fright Fest Update 2009 Who’s ready for Halloween? Fright Fest is right around the corner, and as promised, here is the preliminary list of offerings for Fright Fest 2009. (Remember that everything is subject to change; ideas take different forms between the planning and construction stages of projects.) Pint-Sized Frights – •Fright Festivities – Kids of all ages compete in popular Halloween games, such as apple bobbing, the mummy rap, a Six Flags style costume contest and more! Located at the High Sierra Stage in Golden Bear Plaza. •Elsa Willoughby’s Craft Fair – Created four our younger guests, kids have the opportunity to stretch their imagination as they create their own classic crafts. Located in Bugs Bunny World. •Looney Tunes Trick-or-Treat Adventure – The Looney Tunes Characters will take our young guests through Bugs Bunny World’s Trick or Treat Trail. •Looney Tunes Characters – Bugs Bunny and his friends are frightfully excited to dress up as their favorite Halloween icons. Thrills By Night – •Scream on Scream! – Music and Screams make this the wildest, twisted steel experience in the West! •Colossus Backwards – Inventor Gustav Willoughby’s demented mind always saw things a bit backwards. •Thumper Bumbers – The hottest sounds rock the craziest bumper cars around. You never know who you’ll bump into. •Ride in the Dark! – Experience some of your favorite roller coasters in the dark. •Sky Tower Mausoleum – Towering 38 stories above the ground, this landmark offers historic displays and a “spooktacular” view. You’ll also learn the distorted tale of the wildly disturbed Willoughby family. •Meet RIP – Be sure to document your Six Flags Fright Fest memories with a photo of our Willoughby’s chauffeur, RIP, and his “wheels”. Stage Shows – •Heckles & Twitch – Brothers Heckles and Twitch return with an all new hilarious combination of horror and comedy. These Mad Clowns will leave you aching for more. Located in front of Gotham City Backlot. (3 different shows each night.) •Dead and Local – For the best talent in Southern California, check out our Dead and Local bands and they prepare you for the nightly Fright Fest event! •gRAVE – Join the fun in front of Gotham City Backlot all evening long, as our Emcee hosts a pumpkin smasher of a party. •Mr. 6 Spooktacular – Mr. 6 will be leading the living dead around the park as they entertain the crowds with spectacular dances! You never know where these dancing zombies will pop up! Scare Zones – •The Riot – The Willoughby family “collected” many colorful and unique characters while running the town’s Mental Health Center. Insane rage runs rampant in the streets of Gotham City Backlot. Brightly colored comic book – like characters create a genuinely uncomfortable environment. •Exile Hill – Once the lush gardens of the Willoughby estate, Exile Hill has become home to the once-caretakers of the mansion; banished from mortality and destined to haunt the hills surrounding Willoughby Mansion for eternity on Samurai Summit. •Aftermath – Journey through Cyclone Bay if you dare, to see the post-apocalyptic result in this shore-side town. Mazes – •Willoughby’s Haunted Mansion – The granddaddy of all Six Flags Magic Mountain mazes. Once a grand estate, the mansion has long since become a dilapidated bundle of termite-ridden lumber hiding dark family secrets, with many skeletons hidden in the closets. The mansion sits atop Samurai Summit. •Jokester’s Hideout 3D– Sideshow clowns run amok while you sneak through the hideout, but watch your back! You never know when a crazy clown will strike. •Johan Willoughby’s Brutal Planet – Six Flags Magic Mountain’s largest maze is currently going through “Fright-struction”. More information will be released soon. Ride Hauntings – •Willoughby’s Industries Warehouse 13 – The ultimate test of bravery is at the Willoughby’s family-owned waste disposal facility. Beware: Work is mandatory and escape impossible. This toxic destination leaves no one unchanged. •Deadman’s Bog – The dumping ground for Mr. Willoughby’s failed experiments, some of these twisted creations have returned from beyond. Altered and savage, they wait for any who tread this swampy wasteland. At this point it looks like Fright Fest Attraction Wristbands will once again be sold for $5. The wristbands will grant unlimited access to the Mazes and Ride Hauntings. Information has not yet been released regarding the FlashPass system in relationship to the mazes and ride haunting.
  19. I believe it is a song by Nine Inch Nails.
  20. On Sunday the smoke was blowing much more north than it had on Friday and Saturday. The smoke was a non-issue.
  21. Yes, there are several new offerings this year for Fright Fest. Once the offerings are finalized, I will ask permission to do a FF offerings update in this thread as I have done for the past few years. Expect the update to be posted within the next few weeks.
